Walking distance to College Avenue shops and restaurants, UC Berkeley and BART. Parking space available, but many people come without a car. Elmwood neighborhood has a library, bank, movie theater, 2 bookstores and many great restaurants and shops. Great location for visiting Berkeley, or as a base for exploring San Francisco and northern California.

Patty is a lovely host, and the cottage was quiet, spacious, and cozy! The high ceilings make the space airy and bright. You can tell that the cottage was put together with thoughtfulness and love in the details. I hope to be back sometime!

My sister and I loved our stay in Patty's blue cosy cottage. Lovely place with all amenities. Lovely little kitchen where we cooked several times, and a nice spot in the garden to enjoy our food. We loved walking up and down College Av. - lots of small local shops and great places to enjoy a bite. Definitely coming back! Camilla from Denmark.

Cottage location is serene and contains every convenience. The host is gracious and responsive, for example when there was an area outage of the internet, she sent us a text right away. In addition, the local restaurants are nearby and delish! (Especially Summer Kitchen on Collage!)

After seven years, we returned to Ms. Patty's cottage to accompany our youngest son to UC Berkeley. The place is really delightful and close to all College Avenue services and amenities. Although we no longer have "college-age children", we hope to have the opportunity to be her guests again. Thank you very much Patty.

We have stayed with "Miss Patty" a number of times over a number of years. We have all that we need, especially her garden at the front door of the cottage with shady places to read and a patio table on which to play cards with our grandchildren. Easy walk to College Ave. Always a winner.

We have family coming to visit from the east coast at least twice a year and this has been the perfect place for them when they are in town. Patty is a fantastic host and the cottage is always well kept. It’s a plus to be walking distance to our house and so many things on College Ave.

The cottage was extremely clean and exactly as shown in photos. We greatly enjoyed having a table outside for eating. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. It's walkable (12 min?) to the BART station. Patty communicates quickly with any questions. The only surprise was lack of screens when you need to open windows. The majority of homes in the neighborhood do not have screens, though, so maybe just not needed?(We live in a buggy part of the country, so was a surprise to us.) Would definitely book the cottage again!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful, pretty spot - the location was super convenient to walk to College Ave restaurants / grocery store and shops. The gardens on this street were verdant and gorgeous. The owner couldn't be more accommodating and the cottage has everything you could possibly need - we loved it!

Great property in a fabulous location in Berkeley. Easy and efficient access with clipper card to all transport options in Bay Area. Beautiful walking neighborhood with fabulous California food. Host is great!

This location was so convenient. Close to all we needed, safe and quiet. We didn't cook but the kitchen was really nice if you wanted to...full size appliances, lots of tools, etc.

My husband and I traveled from Florida to Berkeley so we could be present for the birth of our new grandson. We stayed at this charming, light and bright Elmwood cottage for two weeks. Patty, the owner, is wonderful and has thought of everything to make her renters feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and there are hooks and cubbies everywhere (as well as closets and shelves) for guests to use. In addition, the neighborhood is quiet, friendly and it is only a one block walk from the cottage to charming downtown Elmwood. We will definitely be back!!! ❤️

This cottage had everything we needed to visit the area for a week. Very private, ability to cook if desired, close to everything. Host was helpful and thought everything through to make one feel at home and comfortable! Thank you, Patty, hope to stay with you again when we visit the area.

Great location Safeway restaurants 3 blocks away we ate at Wood Tavern and the Indian restaurant both great. Comfy beds and very clean everything g you need. We liked it so much we might come back for a month next year!

Loved our stay here! The cottage is perfect, lots of room for moving around and sleeping. The neighborhood is to die for! Close walk to UC Berkeley and shops. Beautiful homes and tree-lined streets. Loved exploring the restaurants and shops. Also, close walk to Safeway.
