About this cottage rental
Lovingly designed and built, with peaked ceilings, gas fireplace, radiant heat floors and wooden windows. Private patio area. Bedroom #1 with queen size bed. Bedroom #2/den has couch that converts to full-size bed. Day bed in living room has twin mattress. Full size appliances, fully equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer in cottage.
Walking distance to College Avenue shops and restaurants, UC Berkeley and BART. Parking space available, but many people come without a car. Elmwood neighborhood has a library, bank, movie theater, 2 bookstores and many great restaurants and shops. Great location for visiting Berkeley, or as a base for exploring San Francisco and northern California.

Very quaint, clean and well located vrbo. It had nice kitchen and laundry facilities and the cottage is updated and clean.

Patty was a wonderful, kind, and attentive host. The property is a great little find within a beautiful Berkeley neighborhood. Although it's behind the main house, there was sufficient privacy — and a lovely little garden. My only contention was that it wasn't perfectly clean. The bathroom in particular (shower and laundry machine) had quite a bit of human and dog hair. The furniture and appliances are also older and evidently used. That said, this doesn't detract from the home's functionality. All in all, we were grateful to stay here — and we appreciated Patty's hospitality. If you are looking for an affordable and relatively spacious stay in Berkeley, I would recommend it.

Great location, nice responsive host, kitchen had everything we needed. There were issues with the heating, but the host did bring us a space heater to help. Some furniture was old and stained. And there were some clutter in the patio area… But also lots of plants, and our dog was welcome, and liked the patio area. Overall, a comfortable place in a great location.
