Nestled in Carmel Valley, this lovely condo for $250 per night is a great option for your next break. The ARTIST'S TREEHOUSE is on one acre in Carmel Valley with views of the property, Carmel Valley Village and the Carmel River. It is nestled in an old oak forest with lots of light, sun and views– beyond the fog belt of the coast yet under 20 minutes from Carmel. Get more than you pay for. Not sure? OK. See the property reviews. Easy, Big Sur and Carmel access. My Artist's Treehouse and Artist's Library couple-size apartments are at the top of the most popular in the Carmel/Monterey Peninsula area. Experience them. A wide staircase winds up to the deck with table and seating (smoking allowed outside, only) and the double doors to the apartment. The all redwood building has a peaked, open beam, tongue and groove ceiling with cathedral-shaped stained glass windows on each end and screened windows throughout. Carpeted with oak parquet in the full kitchen and tile in the full bath (shower)– the effect is light and lovely! Extremely well insulated, the Treehouse has a gas wall heater; in summer the ocean breezes come in early afternoon to cool and the days are FOG FREE. Parking is off street in a covered carport behind full fencing and an electric gate. Addit parking fee for a second car, by request only. Great experience. Quiet place to find solitude and just enjoy your surroundings. Less than 30 minutes to Carmel and less than 5 minutes to Carmel Village. The host is very helpful and knows the area very well having lived there for over 40 years. I would stay again for sure.

We loved our stay at Desiree’s treehouse. The place was just as described in the listing. The view was amazing. We loved just sipping wine or coffee on the porch. Desiree was very communicative and was happy to answer any questions about the place or the area in general. She gave great suggestions and was super helpful.

We absolutely loved the treehouse! The location was amazing - everything was perfect. Very comfortable, plenty of space, and the surrounding landscape was just so beautiful. Would definitely recommend this place - it does not disappoint.

This is an awesome, cozy, and whimsical place… perfect for those interested in a special experience. The entire property is a paradise. Be sure to get a tour of the owner’s artist studio and house before leaving. Her work is amazing. We would definitely come back.

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in this Artists paradise. From the beautiful views of our balcony and the closeness of the Pacific Coast Highway, the trip was amazing and relaxing. Desiree was a gracious host and the rental was as beautiful as the pictures.

Desiree is very knowledgeable about the Carmel area and communicates promptly and well. She's also a very friendly and interesting person. Her Treehouse is comfortable and a great place for 2 or 3 people to use as "home base" when visiting the area.

Desiree was a great host! My husband I stayed in the middle of a rain storm so we didn't get to enjoy the patio as much as we would have liked. It has a wonderful view. The bed is comfy, the place has great lighting and is decently stocked. Quiet and a 3-minute ride to the downtown and every fun restaurant, winery, etc. Thank you, Desiree for letting us enjoy your darling place and for the fun chit chat! :-) Restaurant recommendations: La Rustica and Corkscrew Cafe.

Desserie is the warmest host we’ve had in many decades of travel. One of us was sick and Desserie treated us like a loving sister. The place was immaculate and well stocked on a lovely large piece of property. We’ll be back when neither of us has a bad cold after a visit farther north with the grandkids.

Desiree was so accommodating to our unexpected late arrival and guided us to great hiking and beach near by. The tree house is just as pictured except even better when you are there to enjoy the oh so soft sheets and sip your tea on the porch. We all slept well and enjoyed our time there, no one wanted the weekend to end! Thanks again, Desiree.

We couldn’t have asked for a more magical place and gracious host, it was PERFECT!!!( and I’m VERY picky). Whimsical, cozy and well equipped, stunning views and convenient to everything, it truly is a Treehouse.The Valley’s restaurants were yummy and everyone we met was helpful and friendly from the local “packie” as we say in Boston to the checkout clerk at Safeway. The ONLY caveat is the flight of stairs to the property. It wasn’t an issue at all for us and it is prominently noted in the listing. We actually felt it added to the uniqueness of the setting. Highly recommended!!

What a charming, peaceful escape. Pictures on VRBO are accurate. Comfortable bed, supremely useful seating. Terrific view with seating on the deck to enjoy the sunrise or sunset before retreating to the interior for some more hermitting or a quick drive to explore. Traffic in the immediate area is necessarily slow, so road noise is extremely minimal. Will be back next time I need a break from the city.

Desiree made everything about our stay very easy. The place itself was lovely… very clean and beautiful with stained glass windows in the midst of a grove of live oak trees. Perfect location, quiet neighborhood, very close to town with restaurants and wineries. And Desiree could not have been more helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations

Loved the place!! Had everything we needed. Our flight was delayed, so our check in was after check in hours.. bit of an obstacle.. but all worked out.. I would recommend to anyone asking, and definitely return!

Desiree was a wonderful host, providing excellent communication and recommendations for the area. The treehouse was clean, well kept and well decorated. It was lovely to sleep with the windows open and hear the crickets outside. The treehouse is on a gated property in a no-crime community, so there is no key provided for the rental- I did feel safe but that is one thing that I wish was provided (although I know the culture in certain regions is different- I’m a New Yorker and would never leave my door unlocked!). Regardless, I had a lovely stay and would recommend this property to anyone.
