About this condo rental
Situated in Breckenridge, this lovely condo for $293 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Location, Location, Location….. Welcome to one of the nicest condos in Mountain Thunder Lodge. Our condo is perfect for families or guests of 4-6. Our condo is one of the only condos in the building that has 2 queen beds in the guest bedroom. We also have a king bed in the master suite and a pull out queen in the living room. You will absolutely love the proximity to town of Mountain Thunder, we are 200 yards from the gondola and 2 blocks from some of the best restaurants and shopping on Main Street Breck. Our property is a ski in property via the gondola ski back trail which takes you literally to the back door of our building. Our condo is a corner end condo on the first floor and we have very few common walls with other condos making it a very quiet and comfortable. You will also love our L-shaped oversized deck with views of Mt. Baldy and Peak 9. For our summer guests, our property has back door access to hiking/biking trails, an easy walk to town and the outdoor pool is just a few yards away. Mountain Thunder Lodge is a Vail managed property but we have chosen to rent the condo ourselves so you don’t have the $25 daily resort fee that Vail Resorts charges. If you weren’t aware, Vail resorts owns the Breckenridge ski resort. We have done several renovations in the last few years including, new flooring, furniture, light fixtures, artwork, area rugs, new TV’s in the bedrooms, 55” TV in the family room and new Serta euro top mattresses in the master and guest bedrooms. We also have a lot of hooks, 4 doors with 5 hooks on each door. If you have ever skied with a family of 4 you will understand the importance of hooks to put your ski stuff, hats, coats, gloves, etc. We also have a ski locker in the ski storage area that holds 4 sets of skis. You will love the amenities that Mountain Thunder Lodge has to offer. You will be welcomed to lodge with a beautiful grand entry with a large stone fireplace, wood beams, and elegant slate floors. This welcoming area has over sized couches and chairs to relax by a crackling fire after a perfect ski day. Some of the other amenities of Mountain Thunder Lodge include: • Heated underground free parking with elevator access to the main lodge. • Luggage carts located in the heated garage. • Two fitness facilities, one located at MTL and one located at One Ski Hill Place. • Heated outdoor pool, pool house and hot tubs open year round. • Complimentary coffee and newspaper in the morning. • Outdoor gas barbecue grills. • Outdoor jungle gym located next to the outdoor pool. • Free DVD rentals. • Resort shuttle for free transportation and pickup around town. We also belong to the Mountain Masters Association which gives our guests access to private shuttles that will take you around town and all of the amenities of One Ski Hill Place. Additional amenities to One Ski Hill Place, a sister property of Mountain Thunder lodge include: o Mineshaft bowling alley – reservations are suggested. o Fitness center with treadmills, elliptical and weights. o Two indoor pools and hot tub. o Outdoor hot tub. o Spa including steam room and sauna with beautiful male and female changing areas. o Pool table / Game room. o Two media rooms with video games (Wii & PlayStation), DVD and theater style seating for 8. o Free DVD and game rentals. Just got back from 6 days at this condo. Myself, my partner, and another couple stayed. We had the BEST time and this condo was PERFECT.
PROS:
> LOCATION. You can ski to the condo building (literally to the back door) from Peak 8. There is a room of ski lockers that are included with the room. It was seriously a game changer being able to ski home everyday. 5-10 minute walk to the gondola and to Main Street. There's an underground walkway that keeps you off the street en route. The best location.
> HOT TUB. One in the back of the building and then 2 across the street.
> FIREPLACE in unit was so cozy.
> All TVs in the unit were connected to Dish network. It sounds silly, but it was SO nice. We were able to have the TV on at night while making dinner or in the morning while making breakfast.
> The condo has pretty much everything you could need in terms of functionality. There were linens, towels, kitchen utensils, coffee filters, dishwasher pods, papertowels, etc.
CONS:
>Legitimately the only con we could think of was that there is no washer and dryer in the unit. There is one on the second floor which was easy to use, was just a hassle.
>The guest bedroom could have more storage (like a bigger dresser) and have better lighting. Was a bit dark.
Had the best time at this unit. Will 100% recommend it to anyone and will plan to stay again when coming back to Breck.

The condo was perfectly located within walking distance to the slopes and town. We especially enjoyed ending the day skiing down directly on the 4 o’clock trail right to our door. The condo was also very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Loved the gas fireplace too! Kept us so warm and cozy!

Mainstr just 3mins by car -always parking available around mainstr. great dining (TX BBQ!!) lost of icecream- people lining up- Liquor Store and Supermarket close by -very short walk to Gondola (Watch your breath, oxygen level drops-but for sure a great experience-did it twice to the top with skilift) overall will come back for sure..all in all everything you need/want is close by-great location and rental!

We had a very nice stay in this unit in Breckenridge. You couldn't ask for a better location - quick 5 minute walk to the gondola and Main Street with all the restaurants and shopping. The building was very nice with helpful employees at the front desk. The condo itself was clean and included all of the amenities you could need. Very nice and highly recommend it!

The condo was convenient but the MBR was located directly over the garage door and trash room for the building so it had minor noise early in the morning. Also the floors stayed cold because of location over the garage. That being said the condo was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and beds, and 3 large TVs.!

My family (four; with two teenage sons) stayed for a ski week in Feb 2023. The location is perfect. Walk to the lifts in the morning, ski to the back door at the end of the day, walk to downtown whenever needed.
The place itself was perfect. Split bedrooms with separate bathrooms was ideal. Full kitchen and hot tub is great.

We rented a well maintained and provisioned condo on the first floor in the Mountain Thunder complex. Access to everything - ski lifts, town, recreational facilities - was excellent. The unit was perfect for our group including my brother, daughter, her fiancé and me. The ski lockers are down the hall, next to an elevator that leads to the garage and a walking path to the gondola, a five minute walk. Skiing back takes you right to the front door of the building. The building has a small but nice fitness center and outdoor hot tub. We also had access to a larger recreational facility, accessible by free shuttle or a short drive.
The owner was accessible and easy to communicate with. There was one small problem that he addressed immediately.
We had a perfect ski trip. I highly recommend this VRBO property.

The condo was a great location! The gondola was walking distance, although it was a bit of a hike with ski boots and ski gear.. It was very convenient that you could ski in to condo after you finished your day on the slopes. Town is also walking distance. The condo was perfect for two adults and 2 adult children. It was very clean and heated garage was great!

Great summer week in Breckinridge
Had a great summer week in Breckinridge with our family of four. Condo was as described with fantastic walking access to the Breckinridge gondola, Main St and at least one nearby easy hiking trail. We also drove about 40 mins back towards Denver for some white water rafting. Would go back in a heartbeat to fly fish, mountain bike or just be around all the happy dogs in town. Although there are so many great things to do nearby I would still rent a car for summer so you can do a day in Vail, find other hiking trails, etc. The restaurants on Main St. were fantastic too. Staff in the lobby was helpful and there are a bunch of munchies and drinks (beer too) available for purchase. My family enjoyed the workout room, pool and hot tub. Place was clean, pretty well appointed and comfortable for us. Easy check-in process, easy to find and very communicative property management group.

We stayed at Mountain Thunder Lodge for nearly a week during ski season. The condo was top notch. Well stocked, beautifully decorated, and perfectly situated on the first floor. This mean no stairs or elevators in ski gear.

The location of this property is amazing. You walk across the street to the gondola and you ski right back to your front door on the 4 O'Clock run. You are right in the center of town as well with so many places easy to walk to. The shuttle service is nice. It may take awhile for pick up but they take you exactly where you are going instead of to a bus stop. But if you need the bus, the stop is right outside your door as well. The beds and sofa were all exceptionally comfortable. Plenty of space for our party of three. Kitchen adequately stocked...pots and pans were so much nicer than normal rentals. At the front desk, you are able to purchase a few items which is a very nice perk. They are also very helpful with booking the shuttle. Only complaint was that the pipes in the walls were a bit noisy. The sounds did not bother the other two in my party but my hearing is very sensitive so they did bother me. Basically sounded a bit like road noise. Overall we thoroughly loved staying here and can't wait to stay here again.

This place worked out great! It was 2 blocks to downtown and the gondola. The 4'Oclock ski run takes you right to the back door of the lodge, unfortunately we ran out of time on the mountain to make the run. We will definitely try and stay here the time we're in town!
