Experience Island Living In A Tranquil Seaside Setting!
About this house rental
Located in Antigua and Barbuda, this lovely house for $175 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. 'Song of the Sea' is a one bedroom guest facility with private entrance. It has one king size bed (or 2 twin size beds), closet, small refrigerator, microwave oven, and coffee maker. The bathroom shower opens to the natural garden. Outside there is a private patio with lounge chairs, table, and a barbecue grill. We are just steps from the sea and the snorkeling is great here. You'll need reef shoes to protect your feet from rocks and coral, as well as mask and snorkel to be able to see all the colorful fish and undersea life! This is a wonderful area for both accomplished swimmers and beginners because the area close to shore is only about 3 feet deep. Should you prefer a sandy beach, the gorgeous Long Bay beach is within 2 miles. There are a couple of restaurants at Long Bay and some local shops in the closest village of Willikies. We do recommend that our guests rent a car during their stay. You will surely want to take advantage of the opportunity to visit the other amazing beaches and scenic areas of Antigua. This is a small island (108 sq. miles) so everything is less than an hour's drive. You can swim with stingrays at Stingray City in Seaton's; take the Antigua Rainforest Canopy Tour; tour 'Betty's Hope', the restoration of a colonial period sugar plantation; take an Eco Tour boat trip; or discover your very own favorite beach from among so many! The possibilities are endless! Start your day with a very substantial breakfast (included) served on the upstairs balcony or on your own patio, then take off on the day's adventure - or choose to stay right here and enjoy the sun, the sea, snorkeling, hiking, experiencing the 'color therapy' of the sea and sky. At night you will be lulled to sleep by gentle waves, a pleasant sea breeze, and the songs of tiny tree frogs! There is nothing more romantic and beautiful than moonlight on the water and we have a front row seat for every moonrise. This is a place of peace and tranquility, perfect for contemplation and renewal of body and soul.

Amazing experience and amazingly beautiful. My wife and I did not want to leave! Where to begin? This location is Very private and secure( only two homes on almost two hundred acres with three security gates)! and romantic, with direct access to wonderful swimming and snorkeling in your private Caribbean bay. However you must bring 'beach shoes. There isnt a beach there but you do have access to the warm, shallow
(3-4 ft) water. The hosts ( two sister's: Katie and Debbie) are absolutely wonderful people. Katie provides an awesome, delicious, gourmet breakfast every morning- whenever your ready as well:) For lunch and dinner you're on your own to explore local restaurants or use your microwave and refrigerated food's.
You Have to rent a car.
Surrounding resorts are beautiful but your setting is best:)
The two dogs on the property are very friendly and quiet:)
For fun we recommend the Combination Tropical Forest Zip-line and Kayak tour!
Enjoy this once in a lifetime experience! We recommend that you ask the hosts for directions and to meet you at the first gate so you dont get lost. There is no house number- so you cant use GPS all the way.

A beautiful and authentic private home in an idyllic position surrounded by the sea. Hosted by 2 lovely ladies who couldn’t have done more to make us welcome.

We absolutely loved staying at Song of the Sea.
We haven't been to this part of the island before and its very different to the more commercial aspects.
The description of the accommodation was spot on. Although there was no air con, we felt it wasn't needed due to a lovely breeze and a fan was sufficient.
Katie was a lovely host and offered a rather filling breakfast to get the day started. There is a microwave available in the room and a couple of local places to eat approx five minutes from the cottage.
She has two delightful furry friends who always greeted us warmly.
Thank you for a lovely stay and we'd definitely go back

This was a wonderful stay right next to the sea. Our hosts were wonderful (and quite storied!), and the accommodations were extraordinary--at first we were missing having an AC unit, but we acclimated to the temperature thanks to our open windows and the constant breeze coming off of the ocean. Thank you again! We’ve been missing the gecko!

This B&B was simply amazing - everything we were looking for and more. The views were outstanding! It was quiet, secluded and off the beaten path and right on the water so you could be lulled to sleep by the song of the sea. Truly a hidden gem. And I cannot say enough about the hostesses Katie and Deb. Two of the most wonderful people. They were so welcoming and spoiled us in so many ways. We felt like we were staying with old friends. So grateful to have been able to stay with them. Would love to go back.

Song of the Sea is a stunning location. If you are looking for tranquility and privacy in a ruggedly beautiful setting, you’ve found your oasis. And the best thing about the property is the charming company of the hosts, Katie and Debbie, and their dogs, Suki and Hitch. Their knowledge of the island, it’s people, history and culture, and many other interesting topics, led to some of our most enjoyable holiday moments, chatting with them and swapping stories. As others have said, you need a vehicle, as attractions, restaurants and the like are not within walking distance. Getting in and out of the water on the volcanic rock shore of the property requires some agility. There is a small fridge and a microwave for storing snacks and drinks and reheating takeout. The room is very comfortable and beautifully decorated and watching the pink and orange sunrise from your bed is magical. The open air shower is a fun tropical experience. The home cooked breakfasts taken on the upstairs veranda are beautifully presented and delicious. If you are an art lover, be sure to ask for a tour of Debbie's studio; she is an extremely talented artist. We left feeling as though we had made new friends and finished our three location tour of the island with the most restful and rejuvenating part of the trip.

We looked at 20 VRBO properties before we decided to go with this. It was the best decision we could have made. The room overlooks a stunningly beautiful view of the sea. You hear the ocean and feel the breeze. At night, you are lulled to sleep with the sound of the tiny tree frogs. The bed is more comfortable than our own. The mosquito net protects you from bites and makes you feel like you are in a glamorous filmy tent. The outdoor shower is a tropical treat.
The room is well appointed with a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. There are plenty of dishes, cups, plates, and silverware. It even comes complete with a selection of tea, coffee, and sugar.
Katie and Debbie supply plenty of towels, including beach towels. They have even thought of small touches such as a hairdryer, a hand mirror, nice liquid soap, and a clothes line with clothes pins. There is plenty of storage and plenty of clothes hangers.
Katie and Debbie treated us like family, in the best way possible. Katie is a very talented, gourmet cook. We had amazing breakfasts every day upstairs on the porch overlooking the water. Katie bakes her own bread, as well as special baked goods like cookies, orange bars, and brownies. She even treated us to a special dinner the first night we were there. It was such an honor to get to know these wonderful sisters. They have lived all over the world. They are kind, smart, talented and so interesting.
We could not have been happier.

My wife and I had an amazing time here. Katie and Deb were the nicest, most kind hosts we could ever image. Can't say enough good things about them. The property itself was perfect for us. We quickly got into a routine of waking up to sound of the ocean breeze, watching the sunrise, then a quick swim/snorkel out to the reef where we saw rays, turtles, lobster and lots of fish. Back at the house, we would clean up in the outdoor shower, then upstairs where Katie would serve us a delicious breakfast on the patio (million dollar view!). Naptime, then exploring the island in the early afternoon. Late lunch/early dinner, then back to the house to watch the sunset and the stars come out. Do it all again the next day. Hope to return soon!

We loved our stay at Katie & Debbie’s beautiful home. Our guest accommodation was just as described. A very comfortable bed, stunning views and delicious home cooked breakfasts every day. Our hosts were very accommodating and helped with booking experiences and just made our stay so wonderful. The accommodation is off the beaten track and so not suited to those who are on the less adventurous side - but to stay here was truly an amazing experience that will be always remembered.

My husband Dan and I so much enjoyed our stay! The room is lovely and well appointed with a million dollar view. Falling asleep to the sound of frogs and the ocean was memorable. Katie and Debbie could not have been more welcoming and we felt we left having made new friends! Book here if you get a chance, you won't regret it.

The views are fantastic and the breeze was refreshing. Katie is a great host and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We didn't take advantage of breakfast everyday, but When we did it was very fresh and very good. This location is incredible, we would stay again without hesitation.

Peaceful gem
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique property. The view from our room was magnificent and Debbie was a gracious and charming hostess. We needed a car to go anywhere and spent some time exploring the island, especially the lovely bays. This is a wonderful choice for anyone who wants to be away from crowds and just relax in a beautiful setting. We were also pleased to see the precautions that are in place regarding Covid.

Our entire experience was excellent. Communication with the property owner Katie was easy with quick responses. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we truly enjoyed this gorgeous property. Katie made us the best breakfast ever! Their private bedroom and bathroom was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The views were incredible. I celebrated my 55th birthday and Katie and her sister Deb surprised me and sang a beautiful birthday song. The sisters sing so beautifully 🎼 Katie made me a delicious homemade desert and Katie and her sister Deb brought it out with candles singing to me again 😀 along with another delicious breakfast. My husband said “ I feel like its my Birthday” 🤣 I was pleasantly surprised, grateful and humble. Katie and her sister Deb are beautiful spirited human beings. I have gained two new beautiful friends.. We plan on returning in 2020. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us..

Fantastic
Arriving at Willikies village the signboard welcomes you to Paradise. There are no obvious signs of paradise in the village itself, apart from perhaps its Ice Cream Parlour, but Song of the Sea is definitely a little corner of Heaven.
Despite a family bereavement, family caring responsibilities and other worries at the moment, Katie and Debbie make you feel part of the family straightaway. It's in fact a privilege to spend time with these two "world citizens". Katie is fluent in Spanish, Debbie speaks French and they even speak a bit of Swahili so any linguistic needs are pretty much catered for.
Katie is also an excellent cook. Her breakfasts on the terrace are a delight. Plus she threw in a free delicious dinner on our first night.
You certainly need a car here. It's off the beaten track but that's part of its charm. We stocked up at Epicurean supermarket for our evening meals and that worked fine.
Debbie will lend you books and you can indulge in interesting conversations with them at virtually any time!
We'll always have fond memories of our stay here.

Excellent accommodations and even better hosts
We received very detailed directions on how to get to the house from our hosts, Katie and Debbie. This was great, because it is somewhat out of the way. I've been flummoxed by inadequate directions in the past--not this time. When we arrived, Katie welcomed us, introduced us to the dogs that live with them. Cat's too, though they tend to keep to themselves more than the dogs. Our apartment, with a huge bed and partially outdoor shower (pretty awesome I have to say) was more than adequate. Excellent coffee and tea was provided, and the view both from the bed and the patio at the front of the very private apt. was stellar. At night, the frogs were louder than the ocean, which is only 100-or-so feet away. Breakfast was cooked by Katie, and always terrific and lasting. We ate it up on the Verandah of the main house, which has million-dollar views of the water. The house is pretty spectacular in its location, though it is out of the way. You absolutely need a car to go anywhere; there is no real possibility of walking to, say, the nearby beach. You can swim and snorkel from the house (we did both), but their are better places to do both on an island which has beaches as nice as any I've been to. We did drive, usually to the nearby LongBay beach which was small but lovely and not crowded. There is a smallish resort there and--a tip--you can pay 80-90 dolllars US for a daypass that gives you access to the sports equipment, including sailboats, and to the restaurants. We did not do this, but would on another occasion. We loved this beach!
Our host went above and beyond the call of duty. They served us dinner the night we arrived, and were unfailingly helpful. They were genuinely nice, good people, and one of the great highlights of our trip was to meet them. I highly recommend this BnB to anyone looking for a quiet stay in Antigua. We would go back again. Thanks Katie, may all go well with you and your family!

We Loved Our Stay at Song of the Sea
We spent a week and so much enjoyed the wonderful views and sounds of the oceans, all the birds, the gentle breezes, snorkeling Cade's reef, all the lovely beaches....
But, the Eckert family including Ms Debbie and our host Ms Katie we're two of the kindest and most gentle hearted ladies we have ever met in our life. What wonderful and gracious hosts every moment of our stay had us leave with peace in our hearts. Thank you both so much for sharing your home and your lives and stories with us, we will cherish you both and keep praying for even more rain! And thank you again Ms Katie for all the yummy breakfasts and lunches today.
BTW, on the last morning of our stay, it poured for about 2 hours so anyone staying in May will have a wonderful lush garden to gaze over into the sea.

Personal Ocean! Talented Chef! Warm Hospitality! Pure relaxation!
We loved our stay at Song of the Sea. We stayed at Sandals the first half of our trip and wanted a place on the other side of the island that was away from the busyness and crowds of resort life. This was exactly what we were looking for. We lived with the windows wide open enjoying the incredible sea breeze and showering alfresco! We enjoyed exploring the waters around the house (just a few steps down from our room) - we could walk out through the waist deep water to the skiff and felt like we were on our own personal island! The breakfasts Katie prepared were amazing - always healthy, and very substantial! She was such a joy to chat with and offered great advice on what to do on the island and gave us an insider's view into island life. I wasn't sure about staying at a bed and breakfast as my husband and I value our privacy, but that wasn't an issue at all! It was wonderful spending time with Katie around meals, but for the rest of the day we were able to enjoy our privacy as the bottom floor, with it's private entrance, is for guests only. I would recommend Song of the Sea in a heartbeat - it was the perfect place to relax and renew.

Beautiful views, tranquil environment, great hosts, and exceptional breakfast.
We stayed for a week on late Feb.
I wish that I were a better writer so that I could write a review worthy of how great Song of the Sea really is. If you are a traveler who appreciates the less traveled road, getting outside of the resort areas, experiencing the local culture of a place, and knows how to get into the roundness of the world then this is the place for you. It is very aptly named, Song of the Sea, because you will wake and sleep to the sounds of the ocean and the breeze. And the view is unbeatable.
The B&B host family is a treasure in many ways. Katie's talents for preparing delicious meals is a real treat for the senses. She and her sisters, Debbie and Linda, are intelligent, kind, and truly invested in providing their guests with a wonderful experience of Antigua and Barbuda. Their knowledge of the islands, integration into the local culture, and experience living in multiple nations and among various cultures provides stimulating and enriching conversations. We will consider them friends for life, as I sure happens with most, if not all of their guests.
Some practical trips:
We visited Half Moon Bay, Long Bay Beach, Ffryes Beach, English Harbor, Nelson's Dockyard, Devil's Bridge, Betty's Hope, and the Donkey Sanctuary. Half Moon Bay was our favorite beach and had our favorite dining experience (outside of Katie's cooking). There is a small outdoor restaurant right on the beach at Half Moon with excellent food at what we considered a normal price. Papa Zouk's was also well worth the drive into town.
As for dining out, be prepared for slow service and higher costs. It is recommended that you call ahead. Reservations don't mean the same thing as they do in the US. Reservations help the restaurant prepare and they may ask if you have one even if the restaurant is nearly empty. If Katie offers additional meals, outside of the included breakfast, we would highly recommend it.
We found the locals to be very friendly and open to conversation. In fact, we missed our turn on the drive to the B&B and a local who noticed that we were obviously lost asked where we were headed, knew the owners, and escorted us almost to the front door. He went a mile or two out of his way to do this. We also felt safe everywhere we went.
So, if you're planning a visit to Antigua and and you've found Song of the Sea B&B then you are lucky indeed. You won't find better.

Hospitality Plus
From the moment we first talked on the phone, to our warm welcome from Katie and her family, we were blessed! They truly live out "Island Hospitality". We enjoyed so many special touches at the "Song of the Sea". Our accommodations were amazing! The property is one in a million. The views were amazing and we loved the constant sound of the waves on the shore. Waking up to the sunrise and falling asleep with the moon reflecting on the water was such a treat. Katie definitely went the extra mile in preparing a variety of breakfasts for us. We enjoyed the rich tea, awesome fresh fruit, amazing omelettes, homemade granola and locally made bread. We feel as though we have made wonderful new friends in Antigua and definitely hope we will be able to return again someday.

Wonderful everything: room, view, hosts, breakfasts....
We loved our two week stay. The room was beautiful! private, quiet and relaxing. The room was painted beautiful colors, complementary to the tropical waters. It was comfortable with a king sized bed and a fantastic private out door shower.
The view was extraordinary from the room and terrace
The terrace, with its arches, reminiscent of the middle east east, is a perfect frame for the aquas and blues of the ocean. The ocean is on three sides, most visible on two. Incredible to be such a part of nature. And the full super moon on our first night rising in the east was beautiful. I took so many photos. The breezes provided perfect temperatures all times of day and night. No mosquitos, not one! There are screens and mosquito net for bed, not needed.
And the breakfasts. Incredible, creative food cooked and served by the incomparable Katie.
We loved our hosts. Katie and Debbie. Their friendliness made us feel we are part of their family. They are kind, interesting and fun. This was our 3rd visit to Antigua, and we learned more about the island this trip by living with long time residents than ever before. We went to a choir rehersal there (Debby is choir director) and met additional ex pats and natives, including sister Linda, Charlie and Mrs. Eckert.. All of the choir members extraordinarily lovely like the Eckerts.
Dogs, Hitch, Sookie, and Miss B, cats, Max and Heidi, added to our enjoyment. Loved the birds--bananaquits and.humming birds. And on the sea, pelicans and frigate birds. Soon the century plant will bloom.
We bought two exquisite small pastels from artist Debby to remember our time here in paradise.

A Wonderful Honeymoon - The perfect place to stay if you're looking for a quiet get away
My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Antigua and stayed at Song of the Sea and could not have been happier with our decision. Katie and Debbie (and all their amazing pets!) made us feel so welcome and right at home on the island. Katie's breakfasts were easily the best meals we had on the island (and we had some good ones) and the perfect way to start a day of beach-going or adventuring. I really can't recommend this place enough.
The room itself was nice and clean and has a very large bed and spacious garden shower. My wife and I really enjoyed star gazing on the back deck in the evenings and lazing around the patio looking at all the lizards and birds in the mornings. If you're a nature lover, or just looking to relax, this is the place for you. It's quiet and peaceful and away from the busier parts of the island. It's the perfect place to escape to and rest while listening to the waves or the sugar birds. There's some excellent snorkeling spots just off the property, too, if that's more your speed. If it isn't, the view from the gallery is genuinely breathtaking.
Katie and Debbie are very knowledgeable about the island and have a lot of great suggestions if you want to do some exploring. My wife and I wanted to see as much as we could on our trip (a big reason why we didn't go the all-inclusive route) and Katie and Debbie were so helpful in telling us about the island and all it has to offer. Hermitage Bay and Half Moon Bay are absolute must sees. Half Moon is a short drive away and one of the most beautiful beaches we had ever seen. We visited it three times.
All in all it was an amazing honeymoon and we hope to return to Song of the Sea. Privacy was never an issue and we felt right at home almost immediately. Katie cooked us dinner the night we arrived, which was great since we were so wiped from traveling and didn't feel like searching for a restaurant, and Debbie even showed us her art gallery. She is super talented and her work really captures the natural beauty and energy of the island. The ocean is literally just steps away and the nearest sandy beach (Long Bay) is only two minutes away. In almost every way our stay on Antigua exceeded expectations. We hope to return for our anniversary!

Just Loved Everything About It.
Katie and Debbie made us feel like family right in the first few minutes of meeting them. Actually it wasn't just them that made us feel like family. Katie, Debbie, Mrs. Eckert, Lynda, Charlie, Ricardo, Hitch, Sookie, Miss B, Max, Myrtle, and James Bond all made us feel welcome.
Katie's breakfasts are great and are way better than anything that would be served at a resort. The view from the upper balcony while enjoying breakfast really adds to the experience. The snorkeling was great. It was like having our own private reef right outside our front door. Katie and Debbie can point out all the best spots from the upper balcony.
We spent most of our 10 days there just lazing on the lower deck, enjoying the weather, the view, the wildlife, reading, and sneaking treats to Hitch, Sookie, and Miss B. Privacy was never an issue. While there we also got to check out Debbie's artwork in her gallery. She's an amazing artist who is very humble about her work.
All in all it was a great experience and we really hope to get back to see them again in future years, especially now that we feel like family.
Katie: make sure you have a "To Do" list ready for me the next time we're there.

A uniquely private slice of Antigua from a beautifully rugged setting
We thought Song of the Sea sounded interesting and "up our alley" from reading about it from home in Massachusetts, so we committed to a twelve day stay in early March, keeping our fingers crossed. Boy did we luck out! After an intriguing drive off the beaten path, we were greeted at the gate by the three friendly resident dogs who ushered us in. Katy met us at the main house, and after short introductions showed us to our dwelling.
One feels instantly relaxed by the proximity, sounds, and breezes of the sea. The water is literally a few steps away. The room itself is simple and clean with a very large bed, and sleeping is a joy due to the restful sounds of the waves and the gentle trade winds. The shower is a really pleasant adventure because you really feel like you're outside, although completely private at the same time. Don't leave your bars of soap out there, however, because there's a nocturnal land crab that makes off with them in the middle of the night!
Breakfasts are particularly special, and a really great way to launch your day. First of all, out on the "gallery" you sit at a table looking out to sea with a dozens of cute birds (banana quits) busily feasting nearby on grapefruit rinds, and you can't help but feel happy from the activity. Katy brings you plates of local mixed fruits along with coffee or tea to start you off. As you look out to sea, which you can't help but do, at passing pelicans or sometimes a whale jumping, you hear Katy in the kitchen making up your breakfast from scratch. Breakfast is ALWAYS good. Katy's omelettes are amazing. Nothing ordinary about them, and you'd be hard pressed to find anything as good in any restaurant. Not that she only makes omelettes. You don't know what she'll serve up but it's all good and all a pleasant surprise.
It takes a bit of exploring to find places that particularly resonate with you. For example, we tried several beaches, all fine, until we found one that seemed to have our name on it. To get to it you have to drive through the rain forest, which is always a cool experience. Nearby Devil's Bridge is a must, and we experienced an epic sunset there which defies description. English Harbor and Nelson's Dock Yard should not be missed, as well.
I can't say enough about our hosts, the Eckert sisters: Katy, Debbie, and Linda. They are the most open and friendly people you would ever meet, plus thoughtful, interesting, and deep. Watch the Antigua moon with them to get to know them!

A marvelous island hideaway with wonderful hosts
Off the beaten path, on the northeast corner of Antigua is this haven of peace. We could not have enjoyed our introduction to this island more. The guest room with open air shower off the bathroom, is airy with a huge comfortable bed, mosquito net (which we did not need), guide books and great storage, has a breathtaking view from a private terrace. There is coffee (or tea) making equipment plus a little fridge & microwave. Katie and her sisters are world-travelers, interesting, talented and caring hosts, who also make fabulous breakfasts in the main house which are quite delicious with many homemade treats like local honey & served on an open air balcony. There are views of sun & moon rises and the amazing reef colors of the Caribbean Sea. We loved their dogs, Debbie's art work, watching the hummingbirds while banana quits enjoy their morning sugar as well as the Monday night choir rehearsal. It is a good idea to have a car and a driver who can cope with local conditions as well as driving on the left. Taxis are also a possibility. My husband and I highly recommend "Song of the Sea" and its delightful owners.

Lovely setting and even lovelier hosts...
Katie and Debbie are simply wonderful people. We felt like old friends almost immediately. The accommodations are private with a beautiful view, but the ladies are engaging and entertaining at the drop of a hat. Katie's breakfasts are wonderful (best omelets ever and baking is extraordinary). We were invited one evening to watch their weekly practice for a local acapella group led by maestro Debbie. While hesitant and attending out of politeness , it was a wonderful show with more lovely people...they even included us in the gag gift exchange and we were honorary judges in a costume contest. You definitely need a car rental to stay here, and the driving on the island can test your nerves and your vehicle, but you are never more than 30 minutes from anything you would like to do. And we did a LOT! Snorkeling (nearby Half Moon Bay is amazing), zip lining, catamaran tour of the entire island (with snorkeling then open bar and lunch) eco-kayak tour (with more snorkeling), English Harbor and Shirley Heights are must see for the views and steel drum concert/ barbecue. Oh... did I mention snorkeling?... you can do it right out front as well. Lot's of beaches to get some down time too. The ladies are well known (and revered) on this side of the island and everywhere we went we were treated like locals because of them. Even the reputed old grump owner of Mama's Pasta on Long Bay treated us like family...I soon became known as "Dahling" by Mama... be nice and you will be treated the same. They have 3 dogs, FYI, and they are all sweet; coming by for a good morning every day (and a nibble). Do not be timid about exploring local eateries- they look pretty rough, but our experience was great- curried goat, pork stew, local fish, jerked chicken, etc. There is a restaurant in nearby Seatons where we stopped several times always too early or late for the daily meal "Mother" makes and serves. On our last day we again showed too late. Nonetheless they sat us down and cooked up a meal just for us- a whole fish each , rice and beans, salad, and pasta- yummy. My companion has been in the Caribbean many times- always at an all-inclusive or on a cruise. She said this trip was more fun than any of those. Finally, we spent much more time just chatting with the Katie and Debbie than we would have thought- they have lived all over the world, are as sweet as can be, and genuinely seem to enjoy our tales as well.
Highly Recommended!

An amazing place....You won't want to leave.
We stayed a little over a week for our Anniversary in March. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we felt the magic of this place. Greeted by Katie, and Debbie and the dogs we were already enchanted by the view form the driveway. Then we saw the place at the base of the stairs, what a gem. Beautiful plantings full of lowers and birds. The rocky point, not even 30 ft from the porch. A beautiful reef and we were immediately met by the Turtles which feed in the bay all day.
I was concerned about the lack of air conditioning but the breezes were fantastic and the room has an excellent air flow from the open shower, which we absolutely loved, to the Sliding doors which frame the ocean views which are stunning even from the bed. No mosquitos, but we did sleep under the net. It was very romantic with a nearly full moon rising, shining across the water. We didn't use the barbecue but did eat in every night. Plenty of groceries to be had even over Easter weekend which we unknowingly arrived on.
Katie's breakfasts were fantastic with fresh local papaya, pineapple, bananas, etc. The coffee was rich and the omelettes, potatoes and homemade sausage were scrumptious. My wife has allergies and they made her gluten free muffins (so good we got the recipe). The balcony we were served on being higher gave us a whole new set of stunning views. Speaking of stunning be sure to ask about Debbie's artwork. She is so gifted in multiple mediums and has deep spiritual connections with her work.
The place is away from it all. I was pleasantly disconnected while there though we did have excellent cell coverage and some wifi. Frankly I relished being unplugged.
We had a 4 wheel drive but never needed it though we did go all over the island. One of our favorites visits was on the Monday following Easter which is a holiday on Antigua. We went to Devils Bridge and the locals had a fantastic kite festival. There on the most eastern point on the island with the Atlantic slamming into the rocks where hundreds of kites. Really spectacular.
We also visited Barbuda by taking the ferry. Definitely worth the money. We had ta guide for the day, climbed through the Arawak caves, took a small boat to the Frigate rookery where there were thousands and thousands of Frigates for newborns, to soaring birds with 8ft wingspan
This is a wonderful place and Katie and Debbie are wonderful hosts-Truly a magical experience.

We stayed with Katie for a short 4 days and had an amazing time. This property is peaceful and located far from any hustle and bustle. Since the island is small, you're still conveniently close to anything that you could want to do. During our short stay we checked out Half Moon Bay, Shirley Heights, Long Bay, Devil's Bridge, the SE coast, a bit of St. John's, and even squeezed in a day trip to Barbuda. The hospitality was amazing and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended!

Five incredible days here were not enough!! This is the place for nature-lovers and those seeking quiet relaxation. The sound of the waves on the rocks, the warm tropical breeze, and especially the beautiful turquoise ocean will take your breath away. Innkeepers Katie and Debbie are so kind and attentive. They will give you great advice on where to dine, shop and sight-see, but you will need to rent a car! Be sure to bring your water shoes for walking on the rocks and your mosquito repellant. Prepare to relax and renew!!

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to staying at another location on the island. We LOVED our time here and felt very well taken care of by Katie and Debbie and their friendly dogs! :) The room was exactly as described on the home away listing and we were pleasantly surprised with how much better the location was than the pictures even give credit for! The breakfasts provided were fresh and filling and definitely kept us satisfied until lunch time! We still crave the fresh cherry juice we had with our breakfast and Katie's homebrew tea was outstanding as well! Our wonderful hosts were available to answer any questions we had and offered suggestions for touring the island for the days we were there. This was a great quiet location for relaxation and enjoying the natural side of the island. Unfortunately we were there after a rainy period and the mosquitos were a bit heavy and we ended up with a few bites. However, we were not proactive and didn't use bug spray so we were to blame! They do have mosquito nets for the bed and a trap outside the door. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone without reservation.

We stayed at Song of the Sea for a few days after chartering a boat for a week. Its a lovely place right on the ocean. Katie, her sister Debbie and the dogs Hitch and Miss B were very welcoming.
Pros: nice room and lovely outdoor shower, we were told great snorkeling, but the waters were very churned up due to high winds.
Cons: this location is pretty far away from everything. you have to drive to beaches and there are not restaurants close at all. Roads aren't too bad to drive, but at night after a glass of wine its a long trip back.
Also at night when you are walking from parking area to room it can be dark on the stone steps. Maybe some solar lights would help with that.
