The apartment was in an excellent location. We absolutely loved Playa Honda and found it a great base for exploring the island. The building itself was really nice, and the pool was excellent. The apartment was spacious, with plenty of room for us, and had all the facilities we needed for our stay.
Unfortunately, the management of the property could be significantly improved. The instructions for accessing the building weren’t very clear, and as we arrived late at night, it was quite difficult to figure out how to get in.
There were also no basic essentials left in the apartment for our arrival. We weren’t expecting much, but things like shower gel, some coffee or even a coffee pot would have been really appreciated, particularly for guests arriving late who may not be able to get to the shops straight away.
The apartment had been cleaned, but it wasn’t immaculate and could have done with a little more attention to detail.
We also had several issues with the door codes throughout our stay, but the biggest problem happened one evening when we arrived back from dinner around midnight and the code stopped working completely. There is no 24/7 assistance line, and there was no clear way to contact anyone outside working hours through the app. We eventually managed to find a WhatsApp number to contact in an emergency, but as a result, we were left outside on the street for around half an hour trying to get into the apartment.
For a holiday rental, especially one using electronic access codes, I think there really needs to be a clear emergency contact available outside normal working hours. Having some form of human support when something goes wrong would make a huge difference to the overall experience.

Wij verbleven duidelijk buiten het seizoen en genoten vooral van alle rust en het uitzicht vanop het balkon. Goede locatie om het eiland te verkennen en dichtbij alle mogelijkheden van winkels en eet mogelijkheden. Zeer goede douche ook en een warm thuisgevoel.
Misschien een beetje gesukkeld met het binnengaan maar we werden zeer goed geholpen door de hoste dus echt tegenvallen was dit achteraf niet meer.

Wir kannten die Anlage bereits bereits, das Appartment aber noch nicht.
Die Lage ist gut, die Anlage ruhig und gepflegt. Es gibt mehrere deutsche Dauerbewohner in den einzelnen Reihenhäusern/Wohnungen.
Die Wohnung verfügt über fast alle (siehe unten) in der Beschreibung angegebenen Auststattungsmerkmale.
Türcodes funktionierten einwandfrei.
Die Unterkunft war sauber und grundsätzlich gut ausgestattet.
Allerdings ist das Bett im Schlafzimmer mit 150 cm Breite relativ schmal, was für uns kein Problem wäre, wenn das Bett grundsätzlich in Ordnung wäre. Das Bettgestell quietscht und knarzt aber bei jeder Bewegung, die Matratze ist eine Zumutung. Ein ekliger, raschelnder Matratzenschoner aus harter, zum Teil zerschlissener Platikfolie rundet das Bild ab.
Ein Ausweichen auf die Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer ist vielleicht für eine Nacht möglich, aber nicht bei einem zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt. Es gibt keine Rollos oder Vorhänge im Wohnbereich. Die nächtliche Beleuchtung der Außenanlage bzw. der Einfall des Morgenlichts machen Schlaf unmöglich. Der Nachbar im Nebengebäude hat von seinem Fenster aus einen direkten Blick auf das Schlafsofa. Privatsphäre, insbesondere bei Beleuchtung am Abend, ist gleich Null.
Man muss wissen, dass der vorhandenen Pool NICHT beheizt wird.
Es gibt ein Wasserthermometer, das kontinuierlich 18 ° C angezeigt hat. Damit ist der Pool kälter als das Meer und nur für abgehärtete Schwimmer.
Deutsche TV-Kanäle sind nur sehr eingeschränkt empfangbar. Im Gegensatz zur Beschreibung gibt es keinen SAT-Empfang. Im Grunde gab es nur zwei Privatsender, die mit Störungen über das Internet empfangen werden konnten. Bei ARD und ZDF pixelte das Bild nach wenigen Sekunden und wurde dann vollkommen schwarz.
Wir hatten eine Zwischenreinigung für 70 Euro bestellt und auch bestätigt bekommen. Statt um 11 Uhr standen die Reinigungs-Damen um 9.30 Uhr in der Tür. Wir waren noch nicht einmal angezogen. Sehr peinlich.
