Nestled in Mission Beach, this lovely condo for $139 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. 1 Month Minimum Stay ABOUT THE APARTMENT: This apartment is inside the Castle look alike building located at Oceanfront boardwalk and across from the famous Belmont Park. There are retailers downstairs and many shops around, bars, restaurants and much more in the Bay area. Downtown San Diego is easy to reach from here (15 minutes by car) and so are most of San Diego's attractions such as Sea World (5 minutes), Legoland (30 minutes) and the San Diego Zoo (20 minutes). This comfortable apartment offers everything you need right on the beach. We recently added a new refrigerator, extra single sofa-recliner and a portable AC inside the bedroom. You will enjoy the beach atmosphere in the heart of Mission Beach. This apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and slab white granite counters. There are plasma TVs in the bedroom and in the living room. The living area faces the street but gives you a breathtaking ocean view. The bathroom has two sinks top and a bathtub. There are washer and dryer in the unit. Sleeping arrangements include one comfortable queen bed ideally for 2 people, and a futon sofa in the living room (turns into a full sleeping bed - up to 2 people max weight combined of total 300 LBS.). This unit is ideal for a family of 4 (2 adults/2 small kids). No private parties with more than maximum occupancy are allowed in the unit. We are located on the first floor, and there is a 20-25 stairway to get access to the units. No elevator or ramp access. We provide linens and towels, beach towels, beach toys, 2 chairs and umbrella - to be returned in good condition. Wireless Internet is provided with no extra cost to you - bring your laptop! There are security cameras outdoors and power generator in the building. There is a screening door at the main entrance to allow more ocean breeze and air flow coming from the front door into the apartment. No parking. Discount for 6-12 Month lease. Here are some details about Mission Beach and surrounding areas to help you with your decision to stay in Mission Beach: Mission-Beach is a San Diego favorite among locals and visitors alike. It lies between Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean and has nearly two miles of beautiful white sandy beach. The area is filled with pastel colored houses, condos, old style cottages, beach apartments and hotels. The colorful Boardwalk at Mission Beach runs for three miles ending north of Pacific Beach and is always filled with bicyclists, runners, skateboarders and Rollerblade, and has designated lanes for walking. You can engage in people watching and sunbathing on Mission Beach, or the more strenuous activities of swimming, surfing, body boarding and kayaking. The southern part of Mission Beach is known for its' beach volleyball. To the east lies Mission Bay, which contains two islands with many coves and inlets, and has a large marina for pleasure boaters, and facilities for picnics, camping and fishing. One special point of interest at Mission Beach is Belmont Park, once the site of an amusement park that now is home to shops and restaurants, and a completely restored roller-coaster. This 73-foot wooden roller-coaster called the 'Big Dipper' was built in 1925, closed in 1976 and reopened in 1990. Everything is convenient for visitors to Mission Beach; just two blocks east are coffeehouses, fast food, taco shops, ethnic food or fine dining. Bicycles are available for rent on the Boardwalk right below this unit at The Hamels Castle! Note: Mission Beach is also known as the place for families and young groups; if you are noise sensitive you probably should research more before making a commitment to stay in this area. We loved our stay at Mission Beach. We were right on the boardwalk and enjoyed people watching. You can see the sunset from the small balcony. The place had everything that we needed. We loved walking the boardwalk each day. Bike riding was very easy as well. There were lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The value of this place is much better than other places along the boardwalk. Thank you for the stay!

If you love the action this is the spot. If you are looking for relaxation this is not it. It’s very loud but fun. There are many stairs. Parking is in alley where transients sleep. Overall I love this place.

Everything about this property is amazing!! The location is impossible to beat. Right out the gate is the boardwalks and the beach. Belmont park is across the street. Plenty of amazing restaurants and a convenience store within 500 feet. We didnt have and did not need a car. Claudia was amazing to work with!! The place was super clean, had everything we needed. We will be coming back for sure!! Thank you for a great stay!!!

We had a great time at this property! It was right on the beach and the balcony was fun to people watch! The parking was kind of hard to get in and out of when the middle space was occupied by two cars and a homeless person likes to sleep in those parking spaces but overall we had a great time and would rent again!

Location is literally steps from the beach. Nicely remodeled, clean with all the amenities you need. Lots to do around you. It is an active location but quiets down by evening. Would definitely recommend!

Apartment was clean and location was fun. Located at a busy location the porch overlooking boardwalk and beach was ideal. It was nice having 3 bathrooms. Everyone loved the place and would definitely recommend. We also rented the 1 bedroom and made a cool place for the teenagers in our group. Claudia was very helpful.

Check in process was easy. They were kind enough to let me in early since my flight was early. Views were breathtaking. So much to do nearby. We went to the beach/amusement park/pacific beach/ several local pubs. It was a great experience and o hope to stay here again

Fantastic Location
If you like a comfortable stay and enjoy being in the middle of it all, this is the location for you. I stayed with my husband and dog for 6 nights and enjoyed the stay, especially: the nearby restaurants (Sandbar and Cannonball were fantastic), a relaxing swim at the Plunge, daily walks on the bay and beach, cruising the boardwalk on rented bikes and skateboards, sailing on the bay, and the ocean views and people watching from the balcony. The kitchen and bathroom are also very well appointed. Communication with the property owner was excellent, from the information provided in advance to the book of information in the rental.

My wife, grandson, and I really enjoyed our stay. Being right across the beach was awesome, food near by, and close to all of San Diego attractions, Enjoyed three days on the beach and a day at the San Diego Zoo. Was a effect and relaxing vacation and would book again,!

I have been to Cali many many times and have stayed everywhere.... This property is hands down my favorite of all times! Not only is the place itself clean and beautiful, the location is prime. We could have stayed in and people watched the whole trip. Claudia the owner is what really made the trip for us.. The communication and promptness responding was awesome. Shes pretty much my new friend even though she doesn't know it yet :) I will be planning my next trip in the larger room and excited to bring our kids.

COVID-19 hide away
This location is perfect to watch the community wake up. Its steps to the board walk and beach. The store owners are all very help full and there is many kinds of food to choose from if you want to eat out. The apartment is well laid out to maximize utilization of space. It has many amenities and was very clean. For those few hours in the middle of the day when things were busy outside we gladly retreated to the apartment to relax and people watch from the balcony. We would love to visit again someday.

Shared property with family who had rented other unit. Perfect for small reunion. Balcony well appointed. Unit nicely furnished. Be aware that it is busy location so there is some street/beach noise. If you want quiet seclusion not your spot. Owner good to work with. Very pleased.

Clean, comfy, and great location! As people have said before parking is tight but hay we had parking...Its perfect for a couples getaway and you can walk to everything. ..Had a wonderful time!

Our family of 4 loved our stay here. We’ve been staying annually in Mission Beach for years, but this locale was by far the most convenient if you want beach access that’s right on the middle of action, right off the boardwalk, with a beach/ocean view from the kitchen, living room and (small, but sufficient for two) patio. We stayed days before/after NYE so the area was pretty active, esp on holiday and weekends.
We knew it would be a tight fit with four, but made it work. The photos showed upgraded features and those were all pretty accurate. Other nice features/surprises were the electric heater in the living room (we were there Dec/Jan), double sinks in bathroom, dual shower heads and everything very clean and upgraded. We didn’t use any beach gear since it was cool weather, but we appreciated the outdoor shower for the one time we rinsed off sand. Our minivan fit fine in the reserved parking too.
Claudia was also very responsive. We’d love to stay again.

Very good location, directly on the boardwalk. Close to restaurants, shops and convenience stores. Very comfortable bed! Suitable for 2 people or couple and small child. A playpen can squeeze into the bedroom. The pull out couch would fit a child, it is probably too small for an adult. There were a couple of leakage problems during our stay due to a big storm, but Claudia was very easy to communicate with and fixed the problem as soon as possible.

Great beach stay!
We loved the location of this property! It was nicely decorated and very clean! The fold down loveseat is small-our 8 & 10 year old barely fit. The area can be noisy-but that's mostly because of it's proximity to Belmont Park across the street-and it didn't bother us at all (especially if you use the ac). There's also air traffic noise as the airport is only a few miles away. Again, didn't bother us. We found a Sprouts not far away to buy groceries for the week. We loved having beach chairs, toys, and towels right here, as well as laundry machines. I would have loved more comfortable furniture for relaxing (collapsing) in at the end of the day, but it probably wouldn't fit. We thought it was a wonderful value and would absolutely love to stay here again!

Great location, well appointed
This is a great property and Claudia was easy to work with! The unit is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We found everything we needed for our stay.
The communication before our visit was timely and clear. Claudia gave great driving instructions to the parking, which sounds complicated, but once you see it it's quite easy. She also provided clear instruction for getting into the unit and using the TV /cable system.
The bed is ridiculously comfortable! And there are lots of pillows to choose from!
The drawbacks, because every place has some, the deck is tiny. Not a surprise, you can tell from the photos, but it is tiny. The loveseat us super uncomfortable to sit on. It does make into a bed and there is a cushion provided if you plan to sue it as such, but as seating it's really hard. However, you are literally steps from the beach so get outside!
We were here during a major heatwave and used the AC unit in the bedroom. It worked great! Otherwise, the fans provided circulate the ocean breezes and the temps are comfortable.
As for sound, we stayed Wednesday thru Sunday and didn't have any issues. You can hear people on the boardwalk, but it wasn't disruptive or intrusive.
They really have thought of everything you need in this rental. I highly recommend if you are looking to be close to the ocean! And the boardwalk makes for great people watching😉�!
