About this house rental
Situated in Emerald Isle, this lovely house for $464 per night is a great choice for your next break. The Town of Emerald Isle lies on Bogue Banks, the southernmost island of the North Carolina Outer Banks. Our house is located at the secluded western end of the island known as 'The Point'. It is a 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath home on a corner lot. with hardwood, tile and carpeted floors, Anderson windows, four Covered Decks (2 upper decks with Porch Furniture, front lower deck with 2 porch swings). Directv with high speed internet access. The double carport on the ground level is deep enough to accommodate four cars. On the rear of the house, under the lower deck, there is a tiled patio with a swing and patio furniture, and 4-burner gas grill. It is a great place to relax while watching others play 'kick-the-can' or while preparing the 'daily catch' on the grill. Adjacent to the patio is a private, enclosed hot/cold shower with an enclosed changing area. After a day at the beach, this is a stop that shouldn't be missed. At the front of the lower level, the door opens to the foyer, with french doors left and right leading to identical master bedrooms. Each has a king bed, a full bath, a large walk-in closet, a TV and Roku. Each is perfect for a quiet retreat after a busy day or simply for a quiet night's sleep. Beyond the foyer, though another set of french doors, is a large 20' X 14' living area with 52' LCD SONY TV and Roku. A third bedroom has a queen bed, double closet and a Smart TV. A fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds, a double closet and a TV and DVD player. These two bedrooms share a tiled bath across from which is the laundry area with a washer and new dryer. The cabinets include cleaning products and light bulbs. Blankets and extra pillows are provided in each bedroom. One of the main attractions is the upper level with its open floor plan. Vacations are for gatherings and conversations and laughs and this allows everyone to share some time together. At the top of the stairs is a dining table that seats eight. Across the room is a very well-equipped kitchen and pantry separated from the 8 seat square dining table by a breakfast bar and eight bar chairs. For those who have been guests before, you will recognize this as the site of our annual 'pancake eating contest'. The kitchen has a Keirug and Mr. Coffee maker, crock pot, large pot for low country boil, many serving dishes and lots of utensils and cookware, electric grill pan, blender, and old-fashioned milkshake blender, toaster oven with air fryer, waffle iron, electric mixer, tea kettle, spices and herbs, mini fridge in the pantry, placemats, microwave, and a double oven. In the front of the room is a sitting area with sofa and chairs that surround a tiled fireplace with gas logs (it is not useable), a 47' LCD SONY TV and Roku. Surround-sound stereophonic equipment with iPhone connection completes the set-up. On the front, sliding glass doors open onto a covered deck with porch furniture. It is from here that the spectacular views of sunrises and sunsets and the sweeping picture of ocean and inlet makes this one of my favorite spots. Another set of sliding glass doors open onto the back covered deck, also equipped with porch furniture. This is a particularly quit spot, protected from the ocean breeze, with views of the sound. We have taken advantage of this for a number of quiet, relaxing 'dinners under the stars'. Each deck is equipped with a table with 4 surrounding chairs for outside dining. There is a choice of access to the beaches. Go left to the walkway that will take you over the dunes or go right to the broad expanse of 'The Point'. Either way, you have open space enough for picnics, games and even a touch of solitude. A top deck balcony that we could have spent all day on enjoying the view. Well maintained. Nicely decorated. We had the most wonderful week at our 1st time in Emerald Isle. We have been renting the Finnish Line for several years now. This property never disappoints! Location is perfect, great restaurants, lots of activities, and the owners are super easy to deal with. We have recommended friends and family to stay at the Finnish Line and they too have enjoyed it as much as we do. Looking forward to our next stay!!

This house has a nice layout and is beautifully decorated. We love to cook, and the kitchen is so well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare any meal we wanted. There are water views from all the porches which is so nice but it is a short walk to the beach. We had small children so next time we will rent a cart or two to pull all the supplies or even the kids. We will definitely stay here again.

This was our first time in Emerald Isle, and this house didn’t disappoint! If you love the beach, this home is for you: beautiful ocean views from the third floor deck with nice ocean breezes, sound views from back deck, plenty of outside space to enjoy including porch swings, close beach access, ceiling fans in every room, nicely and tastefully decorated…I could go on and on. We just returned home today, and I feel so relaxed. All the stress melted away as soon as I stepped inside the Finnish Line. Property owner was so nice and responsive, too! I would definitely recommend this home for some R&R!

It is an amazing location. Very clean and a well stocked kitchen. The en-suite rooms were great. The room with single beds was next to the hall bath but the room with the queen bed that shares the hall bath was inconveniently located for someone who needs to use the restroom during the night.

Beautiful home inside and out! Perfect size for my family (3 adult children, spouse and 2 young grandchildren). The home looked as pictured and met all our expectations. The kitchen was was well stocked and all the beds were very comfortable. We loved sitting around the tables on the outside porches in the mornings for breakfast and evenings for happy hour. Three of the porches were set up with comfortable porch swings or rocking chairs. The ocean breeze and views made it an even more relaxing gathering spot.
The location was perfect for a family with small children. Quick walk to the beach and short drive to grocery store and restaurants. We enjoyed walking back to the beach to watch the sunset. Make sure to bring your camera! The sunsets were spectacular.
Our stay and vacation were both 5 Star. We would highly recommend this home!

We’ve stayed at Finnish Line multiple times and it has become our go to for our annual vacation, offering well cared for and updated indoor and outdoor spaces. Our family has stayed at the Finnish Line for many years and it has become like a home away from home! It's perfect for our family of eight! We loved the many updates, both inside and outside, that made the home feel so welcoming. As always, the house was spotless and immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked, even with a large enough pot to make our family beach favorite- Frogmore Stew. The location is perfect, with a short walk to the beach, breathtaking views and lots of bike riding routes. The owners were incredibly accommodating and made us feel like family. We appreciate them sharing their beautiful home with us and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived and the house hadn't been cleaned. The response I received from the property management company was "well you're early". It was 2:45 (3:00 official check in time) and the owner had told us we were good to go and given us the code. A very nice woman and young man arrived to clean about 20 minutes later as an emergency crew. They spent about an hour and were very apologetic. They tried their best but there were still dirty sheets left on one of the beds, hair on the bathroom floors and overall it felt rushed and unclean all week. I had tried to contact the owner through VRBO but messages never went through- I assume they turned that feature off so property management could handle issues. Disappointing start to our trip but the location was lovely.

We loved this home! One of the best homes we have stayed in on the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked. It made cooking family meals easy and enjoyable. The home was large but cozy. Lots of outdoor spaces to sit and talk with family. The views were wonderful. It was an easy walk to the beach....even with small children. The beach was incredible. Lovely sunsets. Everything was great! We had to wait about 30 minutes past our scheduled check-in, because the cleaning crew had to finish. However, the home was clean and pleasant. We will definitely return. Thank you for a great trip!

We have rented this home for several years. The location is perfect, weather gorgeous, and the sunsets are spectacular. The owners have equipped this home with everything you will need and it’s just so inviting that you never want to leave. We look forward to our stay here in EI every time we come - usually every other year - and it never disappoints!!

The house and location fit our needs and we wanted a fairly remote section of Emerald Isle to relax and keep ourselves distanced with kids still not vaccinated. Expect a fairly long trek to the ocean but well worth being at the Point. Would definitely book again in the future.

We loved The Finnish Line! We spent a week with our 3 grown children and 2 of their significant others and had a wonderful week. This was our first visit to Emerald Isle and did not know first hand what to expect. The house description and photos were accurate. It's a beautiful, comfortable, well equipped home just a short walk to the beach. We highly recommend and would definitely stay at the Finnish Line again!

We had an amazing time in Emerald Isle; the weather and the house were both fantastic. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and so the cooks in the family were happy, and we enjoyed eating almost every meal out on the decks, where there were delightful breezes and beautiful views. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. We could not have asked for anything more!

If I could give The Finnish Line 100 stars, I would. The house is immaculate and the owners have thought about all of the details that make your stay comfortable and easy. The kitchen is stocked with all of the comforts of home. The house is situated on a quiet street that is a short walk from both the beach and the bay which are stunning. At times we felt like we were on our own private island. It is truly a magical place. We are counting down the days until we can come back.

This beautiful clean well maintained home, comfy beds, fast internet and great location made for a memorable birthday and reunion. We especially enjoyed bike rides and long walks on the beach.

We had a lovely time here. The beach was a 10 minute walk and the property included beach toys and boogie boards for the young ones. Also beautiful and well maintained property with lots of dishes and kitchen tools made staying in to cook very easy. Would definitely come back.
