Located in Emerald Isle, this attractive cottage for $550 per night is a great choice for your next break. This is the best the coast has to offer! This beautiful sound front cottage comes with all the amenities with a private pier and a new in-ground pool. This cottage is really 2 homes in one. The upstairs cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beautiful downstairs apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The large backyard is excellent for weddings, grilling, and having the whole family together for a wonderful time. Enjoy the pier and get a great tan, play in the water or catch some fresh fish. If you want to go beach-combing, a walk in the sunset, or catch the next best wave it's only a short walk to the beach. Inside enjoy all of the comforts of home with a nicely appointed kitchen, 5 bedrooms, excellent living area, and tremendous views of Bogue Sound! Relax in the living room or the soft plush couches in the sunroom while enjoying the sounds, smell, and views on the maritime coast. This wonderful Carolina beach home is a gem to behold. With ideal weather to only enhance our stay, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer vacation home. Five queen bedrooms, one of which had its own bathroom, a dining area to seat 7 or 8, incredible view, our own pier, tons of seating areas all over the house including outdoor areas, a pristine pool—I could go on and on. Fishermen were catching shrimp right at our dock and sold us shrimp at a dollar a pound! We had shrimp scampi one night and shrimp and grits to die for another. We stayed there in the early Fall which made for easy access to the ocean a short walk away, and driving was a snap because hardly any cars were on the road. There are two Dollar General stores one 1.4 miles East and one 2.8 miles west. At both ends of the Isle were Food Lions and Publix.

My husband, two sons/fiancés, and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is in a perfect place! The beautiful view of the water and sitting out on the pier is very peaceful and relaxing. The beach is right across the street, walking distance. We enjoyed sitting on the Sun porch when it was cool outside because the windows allow you to see outside with a beautiful view. The house cozy, clean, and perfect for a family or a group of friends. The property manager was amazing!!! Great communication, no hassles at all, gave perfect instructions.

House is very close to the beach access and the dock is awesome for fishing. The house setup is a bit awkward, the downstairs and upstairs is not connected and you have to go outside to get to the washer/dryer (not ideal during a tropical storm). Kitchen is small and needs updating.

The house was perfect for a large family with two small kids. We brought our 28ft boat down with us and we’re able to take it out daily with the ease of keeping it on the pier. Everything about our stay was amazing. Perfect house for small kids who love to explore all rooms and cabinets

We usually stay oceanfront while on vacation. We decided to stay here because we liked the options of a private pool, sound-front, and also the ocean. We’re so happy we rented here! The home was very clean and the views of the water are beautiful. Our older kids stayed in the lower level and enjoyed their own space. The walk to the ocean is very short. The pool was clean and used often. We had an air conditioning issue but it was resolved within hours. The maintenance crew is very friendly and prompt. We are already talking about coming back and renting this house again. We only wish there was easier access into the sound from the land or dock. We had a great week, we’ll be back!

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The downstairs apartment was great for our young adult children. The view of the sound from the back deck was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool after spending time at the beach which is a very short walk from the cottage. We would definitely recommend this place for a good family vacation spot. The property manager, Joyce was very nice to work with and the maintenance guy Mike was very quick to respond to a slight issue we had and had it resolved right away. We will definitely stay with them again on our next trip to Emerald Isle.

We've always stayed ocean front when we can, and this was our first bayside home. But it is located in the narrow part of Emerald Isle, so you're literally just crossing the street and the ocean is basically right there! The pool was awesome the dock was awesome, the walk to the beach was super short!
Absolutely we will be back!
Some suggestions for the home owners. Additional dishes would be good for the upstairs kitchen. I didnt even check or use the downstairs kitchen so maybe they're all there. Just more bowls and cups. Some TV upgrades needed as the roku devices didnt like the older flat screens very much and were super difficult to select a movie or show as it would double or triple jump with every push of the button. I think 2 different TVs were doing that.
It would also be good to have TVs in all the bedrooms. I understand not everyone cares about that, but my family definitely does and room selections were based on the TVs.
Last one. The steps on the dock (we rented kayaks and paddleboards) has a missing step that you cant see unless it is low tide and there were long screws sticking out that someone could get really hurt on. We pounded them downward to help, but didnt really have the right tool for the job, so just making you aware of that issue.
These are all minor issues does not change my 5 star review! I listed them for others to read to know this was a legit 5 star property.

Cute cottage on sound with beach access a short walk across the road and down the neighborhood. The layout is odd but worked well for our group of 3 families. The downstairs apartment area was great for myself, my husband and teenager. My elderly parents took the upstairs master bedroom, and my sister,her husband and teen took the other bedrooms with their own bathroom. There is no interior staircase so the downstairs is only accessed by going outside but it was really no problem. You can enjoy views of the sound from the outside deck or from the comfort of the carolina room with its big windows, comfortable furniture and AC. There is so much space in this cottage! It also comes with a gas grill, a nice washer/dryer and a wonderful pool area. You are right in the middle of the isle so either direction will take you to stores and gas quickly. Would definitely rent again!

My family and I adored everything about this place! The house was very clean and exactly as advertised. Communication was so easy- we had an issue with a broken umbrella when we arrived to the home and they had someone out with a new one less than 15 minutes after us reaching out!! This house meets all of your water needs with the great pool, private pier right on the sound, and such a fast/easy walk to the beach! I would definitely recommend staying here to anybody!

We loved staying in this home during our wedding weekend! It was the perfect home to get together as a family and we loved the pool & back yard in addition to the dock. From fishing off the dock to a cute beachy vibe on the inside of the house, this place is awesome!

Our family enjoyed a relaxing vacation filled with pool days, fishing and crabbing off own pier, and quick walks to almost deserted beach for shells. Grocery store, other small shops just 10 min drive and miniature golf and ice cream 5 min. drive. Wish the house was all connected, as even the laundry room was outside access. House was comfortable, downstairs unit was decorated beautifully just needed appliances updated and more fans for air circulation. Loved the views - we would stay here again.

Our week at Emerald Isle couldn't have been nicer. This home was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for a perfect family vacation. The view of the sound from the deck was beautiful, we loved the pool, and the beach was just a short walk away.

The house was very nice and the pool was nice as well. The bathroom mirror had spots of toothpaste on it, the sink in the master bathroom was gritty and not cleaned. The floors were not cleaned. We did not use the extra bedrooms downstairs at all. We left the house in great condition. A refund would be recommended. Thank you.

Great spot on the sound.
Great place right on the water. We loved the pool and private pier. The upstairs was updated and very clean. The bottom floor was nice, had a huge bathroom with big shower.
We wish the floors were connected inside, you had to go outside to access front or back stairs to go between floors. It rained while we were down there.

We had ten people stay a full week here. It was in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view overlooking the bay and a short 2 minute walk to the beach. There was plenty of space and we all loved the pool! Definitely recommend the place.

We loved the deck looking over the pool and the sound. Beautiful sunsets. Very short walk to the beach. Loved fishing on the pier every day. Can’t wait to come back!
