About this house rental
Located in Brookings, this charming house for $425 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This home has AMAZING ocean views and is situated directly south of Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Oregon. Private steps to the beach and an outdoor shower make it easy to enjoy the sand, beach and waves. The sound of the waves is hypnotic and audible at night with a window cracked open! It sleeps a maximum of 10 people. When you enter through the front door (on the main floor) there are fantastic views maximizing the open floor plan for the kitchen, dining room and living room. The living room has a new 55” OLED TV, and the wall of cabinets is full of games, books and puzzles. The main floor has hardwood floors throughout, a large comfortable couch and chairs, a dining table that seats eight comfortably with the ability to squeeze in a couple more chairs/stools, a fully equipped kitchen including a double oven with convection and air frying capabilities, and a beautiful patio/balcony off the kitchen/living room with a barbeque on the deck. The deck extends from one side of the house to the other, giving additional space to enjoy the ocean views and fresh air. Also on the main floor there are three bedrooms: one is the master bedroom with a king size bed and its own bathroom and deck, the second room has a king size bed, and the third room has two twin beds. Downstairs leads you to a laundry room, and then a room with a fold out queen size bed with a bathroom and small partial kitchenette. Also downstairs is a room with two twin beds each having another trundle bed under them. Past the bedroom there is a game room with a pool table, foosball table, big screen TV and comfortable seating around the room. We are close to many hiking paths and state parks. Downtown Brookings is about 1 mile away, a 15 minute walk. There are bike paths, too! Brookings has many great restaurants and stores (both large and small!) to shop in. Or, go fishing!

The property offered a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. The beds were comfortable, and the house was stocked with essentials. Would recommend the property to anyone wishing to visit the Pacific Coast area of Oregon.

This house is amazing! Clean, big and open, and the view is unbelievable. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but it had everything and more than you'd need if you wanted to. The living room/kitchen is a huge open area that we all hung out in together every night. Lots of extra towels, blankets, and pillows around. Besides the pool table and foosball there's a whole cabinet full of cards, board games and puzzles. The steps really do lead right to the beach, where we barely saw another soul. Of course they're a little steep, but very well maintained. We can't wait for another opportunity to stay here again, I can't recommend it enough!

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your property! This property was very spacious and accommodated a party of six easily. It was very clean for the most part, some sand downstairs on the floor, and the comforter in one of the rooms had a stain or something on it but overall, the property was very clean. Beds were comfortable, and the view was wonderful. I took my mother who has advanced dementia, and she loved it.

We, four siblings and spouses, all seniors had been looking forward to staying at the Harris beach house since January. What a beautiful view of the ocean and a short walk to the beach-- but, all the beds were mushy and worn out and none of us enjoyed sleeping! Im 74 and slept downstairs on the narrow couch because the 2 twin beds were so broken down! I had to keep the door to the pool room closed because of the toxic smell being so strong coming from there. "Shame" on the one advertising this place as a 5 star! A peron would think 2,000 dollars for 4 nights would get you better beds to sleep on. Very disappointing!
Another coment from a sibling: The view was fantastic and the long table to eat, play games and socialize was awesome! But, i was shocked at the tub/ shower combo. Not knowing ages of guests, it was puzzling to me why there were no safety bars at all, and no non- slip mat at the bottom of the tub. Saftey should be a priority for anyone in this type of business. The dishes we used were not that clean either.

Views not to be missed.Near perfect vBRO f not for the musty possibly moldy smell in the downstairs section of the house and lack of good outdoor furniture. THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL PLACE TO STAY IN.

Wondeful views from both floors! So many amenities and a really well stocked kitchen. Stairs and path to beach was doable for 3 still feeling young over 60's! Beach was a joy but especially at low tide. Would book again without hesitation!

We do a lot of road trips due to age related difficulties with air travel. So we rent beachfront rental properties quite often. We especially enjoyed this well furnished house with easy access & great ocean views. Booked again in the October for viewing Fall colors. We live near San Francisco.

Great place to stay. This was a family gathering and all were from other parts of the country except me. We were amazed by the view of the ocean and how accessible it was to the beach. I would stay here again and will recommend it.

Oh my, when I say the views are spectacular that is an understatement. Every front window has a vast view of the pacific. In any weather it is a beautiful place to be. The house is extremely comfortable. Our 4 generation family had a memorable weekend here and everyone was happy with house.
I am so thankful the owner is able to share such a magical spot with those who choose to rent this special house.

Awesome, very convenient. Seamed like a private beach, mom loved being able to go back and forth so easily. I would paint an accent color on the transition steps of the wood walk to the beach, first one down miss stepped not noticing the step down because she was looking out at the view thinking it was just the downhill slope, otherwise all was perfect for us. The kitchen was huge and so easy for all 5 of us to cook together, three bathrooms was nice for 5 ladies!, and the neighbor was exceptionally nice. We did several puzzles with the door wide open, having the sounds of the waves roll through the house like we were still beach side. Our shoreline walks found sea urchins, hermit crab, starfish and beautiful rock formations, just beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful place.
