About this house rental
Situated in Tolovana Park, this charming house for $389 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This attractive three level home is good for families or couples wanting some privacy. Ground floor King bed as well as a fold out couch allow for 4 to sleep in one room. This room has a large flat screen TV and gas fireplace creating a cozy atmosphere. There is a bathroom with tile shower on this floor. A modern kitchen and open living area on the 2nd floor capture views of the ocean and access to a west-facing and south deck with BBQ. This floor also has a small TV room that serves as a bedroom with foldout couch, and a bathroom with 2 sinks and a bathtub, and adjoining large capacity laundry room. The master bedroom on the 3rd floor faces west to see Haystack. The other 3rd floor bedroom has 2 queen beds, antique furniture, a reading nook, also with Haystack view, . The top floor bathroom has an attractive tile shower, & skylight. Your "must have wi-fi" members will enjoy high speed connection with good reception in all locations of the home. Flat screen TV and a nice sound system on the 2nd floor offering iPod or iPhone connection to play Pandora selections, if desired. TV in master bedroom and ground floor as well. This was a family home for 30 yrs, chosen by my mother, Dorothy. Though she's gone now, the many years we enjoyed visiting this home have great memories. We hope that by sharing this unique home and nice location with others, you might develop similar fond memories of Cannon Beach and the time spent in this home.

This was a great property and experience and it enhanced our visit to Cannon Beach. The location is perfect for access to the beach, hikes, biking, shopping, etc. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Cannon Beach.

The Dorothy Lou home was ideal for our extended family vacation. Very nice and spacious 2nd floor living space and dining area with access to 2 decks. Very well-equipped kitchen. The owner had beach toys available in the garage for our 2 and 4 year old granddaugthers, beach chairs for the 1st generation, and a wagon to transport it all on the short walk to the beach.
Owner Karl was helpful and very responsive to messages.

This was a very comfortable setting for my two grown daughters and myself for a couple of days while we explored Cannon Beach. We were very pleased to be a little removed from the busier part of Cannon Beach and enjoyed walking down to the nearby pub for beers and dinner and to the two stores to get any missing items.
The kitchen seemed well stocked, although we did no cooking. The beds were all comfortable and had plenty of extra blankets available if needed. It is worth noting that there are two steep flights of stairs in this house and one flight is unavoidable if one is to make use of the kitchen and communal area of the home.

Wow! Had the time of our lives. Plenty of room to sleep our family of 5 adults and 4 children with one under 2. Had pack and play for baby to sleep in, and high chair too. Close walk to the beach. Only problem we had was it had a lot stairs, which we already knew, but the grandson broke his ankle the first day and that was a challenge. We still had a great time and I would recommend this place as a great place to stay. Thank you to the Hadley family for opening their home up to us.

The Dorothy Lou Family Home was very comfortable, well-kept and convenient, and felt like relaxing at your personal ocean getaway. The well designed kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, cooking utensils, spices, coffee filters, pantry essentials, etc. The location is convenient to most of the local attractions, including a three-block walk to the closest beach access. The ground floor bedroom suite with TV sitting area and walk-in shower was an added bonus because it made the house more accessible. We slept well in the comfortable beds. There was an abundance of hot water and large, plush towels, especially ideal for the deep soaking tub. In a quiet neighborhood with views of the ocean and Haystack, the Dorothy Lou Home was perfect for our family retreat. We look forward to coming back!

This house was Exactly as advertised and was perfect for my various groups of friends who came over an 11 day period. The location is great; a short walk to the beach, a short walk to the grocery store, a short walk to the pub. The house is very well equipped with lots of cookware, glassware, small appliances, spices, coffee filters, laundry soup - really everything. There are even good knives, which in many places is not the case. The beds were very comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water. There are 3 televisions which we never watched as we were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time outside. There are games and puzzles as well. Parking is easy. There is a nice ocean view from the deck and the living room and one of the upstairs bedrooms. I had a couple of questions and Karl responded instantly. I would recommend the Dorothy Lou house without hesitation and hope to visit again in the next year or two. It's a great spot from which to enjoy Cannon Beach and the surrounding area.

The property manager was very responsive and even called to check in on us when he heard the power was out. The home is cozy with more beach views than the photos let on. Beds were very comfortable and linens of good quality. The kids enjoyed playing flashlight hide and seek when the power was off and we had a very nice stay.

It was difficult getting everyone to commit to a date but everyone was so glad we stayed at this location once it was over. Perfect location and the home was clean and fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Not only was it super clean and well cared for, but the owners include such things as hair dryers, soap, coffee filters, etc.
The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were really high quality.
The location is ideal, very close to the beach, the town, but quiet enough to be a relaxing retreat.
We even saw an elk in the yard across the street (bonus!)
I would highly recommend this property, the owners were very professional and the pride they have in this home really shows!

We used the car only once during our stay. The house was perfect for two kids under the age of 4 and 6-7 adults. We would walk to the beach in the morning ( 2 minutes), in the afternoon and sunset. Naps, lunch and dinner in between. A good grocery store was just a couple of blocks away, great coffee and bakery, a pizza place and a pub all within a block. The best beach to walk on about 7 miles end to end. Flat and entertaining with views, people and dogs. Beautiful
The house is so kid friendly with a great bath for the kids. We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, decks and open plan.
Beach chairs, a little wagon, umbrellas and sand toys were provided.
Quiet master on the first floor was great for the grand aunts.
Washer and dryer came in handy as well as the BBQ.
Only one small recommendation. We hope the owners will buy some cheap beach towels for their clients. We flew in from Canada and California and had to purchase beach towels. We hope they will consider supplying them next time. Otherwise the family reunion was just perfect for making starfish memories!

We liked the soaking tub and the showers were as nice as an upscale hotel that we stayed at in the area. The kitchen was bigger than we expected. The house was very clean and we could find everything we needed throughout our stay. Lots of outdoor seating to listen to the ocean with your morning coffee. Close enough to walk to good coffee, a grocery store, and Moe’s restaurant. I’d definitely stay here again.
