You'll have a secluded location with plenty of amenities within a couple of miles, from hiking and skiing to nearby golfing and restaurants along Highway 26. Inside the cabin, you'll find elegant, traditional furnishings creating a truly cozy and inviting feel. The living space features plenty of windows to let in the natural light, vaulted ceilings, and a classic stove. Relax on one of the plush armchairs and watch a show on the TV. In the eat-in kitchen, you'll have a four-person table for casual dining, plus a three-person table in the living room for more seating or fun games. The fully equipped kitchen comes with all the essentials for cooking, including a gas range and a stainless steel refrigerator. Spend your time out on the covered patio and backyard, where there's a swinging bench for soaking in the river views and a picnic table on the porch for al fresco meals and games of chess. The front porch features classic lounge chairs for enjoying your morning coffee among the trees and scenery. When you open any of the windows, you'll hear the soothing sounds of the river throughout the cabin. Inside this single-story cabin, with two bedrooms and one bathroom, this home will accommodate up to four guests and the family dogs. The first bedroom features a queen-size bed with a window overlooking the lawn and the river. The second room has two twin-size beds, and there's an updated full bath in the hall. This home has complimentary wireless internet for your convenience. Plus, the traditional stove in the living room provides propane heat to warm up the cabin easily and provide a classic cozy feel. WHAT’S NEARBY When you're ready to explore, this area offers endless outdoor recreation any time of year. In the summer, enjoy fishing, swimming, and kayaking out on the Salmon River just outside your door, along with lots of bird watching and natural wildlife. In the winter, great skiing is just 14 miles away at Mt. Hood Skibowl and Timberline further up the mountain. Since you'll be at the base of Mt. Hood, there are a lot of scenic hikes and snowshoeing trails through the forest to explore. Play a round of golf at the Three Nines Golf Course less than a mile away, or grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants along Highway 26 and in nearby Rhododendron and Government Camp. THINGS TO KNOW If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Ski shuttle details: There is a park and ride just up the street on welches rd across the street from the local thriftway grocery store Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Love the cabin. The chair in the dining could use some stability. Love the feel of the rustic place. You can sit in the front porch sipping something hot and look at the river. Was hoping to see any spawning fish. If you want peace and quite with a view, this is the place.

This is a perfect getaway spot! From cozy blankets to snuggle in with to windows that open to let the sound of the river flow in and a porch swing to enjoy coffee while breathing in the fresh mountain air, this house was perfect. It’s a cabin, a cozy one at that, in every sense of the word.

Cold until you figure out the heaters. Beds are laughably high, hard to get in or out. Like, 3 feet tall, which is rough for a 5 foot woman. But I'm nitpicking, everything there was nice and I'll go again.

We arrived unpacked. Dishes on shelf had dried food on them, couches and chairs were dirty with food stuck to cushion. We immediately left and returned home. Did not feel safe with COVID cleaning protocols not followed. Requested 50% refund. Have not heard be back. Very disappointed. Can not recommend.

Enjoyed watching the salmon run while sipping coffee from the porch swing. Home has a lived in feel which adds to its appeal. Our second time staying here, this time sans kids. One of my favorite places.

I love the clean, rustic vibe of the cabin. It is really inspiring to sit out at the river and just relax and dream while getting lost in the waters flowing by. Good for the soul. I found everything I needed to make meals and enjoy them while looking out of the dining space window.

The house was immaculate. Artful landscaping created privacy while maintaining full restricted view of the incredible Salmon River. Quiet and peaceful. Came for rest and renewal: mission accomplished and I will be back.

The place was older and fairly clean unless you looked under or behind anything. There was a very strange, unsettling, and very nosy neighbor who eliminated any feelings of relaxation and isolation. Lastly the description was not accurate and the communication with the property manager was atrocious.

Quaint cottage house that offered everything. I come for business every 4-6 weeks to Portland and took a couples extra days to fly fish the Salmon River and relax.
On the river and remote but just 2-3 minute drive to get your groceries ect.
The price value for what’s offered is beyond expectations.
You could see the Salmon spawning swimming upstream while sitting enjoying view from backyard.
I could not think of one thing that they did not provide that you tell yourself why don’t they provide that at other stays?
They let me check in early too and notified me of that.

Rating 4 stars mostly because the coffee maker didn’t work! We are big morning coffee people, we had to get dressed and venture out to get coffee instead of just making it. I tried everything to get it to brew. The only other things were the couch is comfortable but really low and hard to get up off of. The beds are all really high! Luckily there was a little step stool in the bedroom closet or I don’t think I would have been able to get in! But the setting is magical. The neighbor who was mentioned in many reviews, “greeted” us before we got in the house and the next day I saw him through the window walk over and look up the driveway. A little concerning, but I think he’s just watching out for his neighborhood. Or nosey. Who knows. Sitting by the river or on the back porch was just peaceful and beautiful.

This was our first of what I hope will be many visits to the Cozy Cabin. Thos house truly lived up to its name, and it was just as nice as it looks in the photos. I can't wait to come back!

I loved the peacefulness this property offered with the sound of the river! My friend was able to “work from home” during the stay, allowing us to be there longer. It was so great to have a cozy fireplace inside too!

Nice to be on the river. It’s rustic but it has what you need. Thankful the pipes are insulated because it got in the twenties and we still had water. Good location for a short trip to Mt. Hood.

Perfect spot to getaway and enjoy some quiet. The house is cute and cozy, we cooked our meals there and kitchen had what we needed, the location is pretty, the weather was perfect, and our dogs loved exploring the yard and river.
Only cons would be the flooring mainly in bathroom and hallway feels pretty squishy (especially around the toilet), there's no plug for the bathtub, and the toaster didn't work.
We had a perfect weekend here and would come back again.

Will probably never go thru VACASA/ VRBO again.

We absolutely love the cabin and have stayed there 5 or 6 times over the last several years. When we arrived, the cabin looked better than it ever had, and we were so happy to be there. From the time we arrived on Friday at 4:00 until Tuesday afternoon we had no internet. No music, movies etc. Vacasa started calling the owner Friday night to get approval for a new router and she did not reply until Monday afternoon. I work remotely and had to drive 20 minutes away both days to work. This really sucked. My issue is if you own a vacation rental property you should want your guest to have a great vacation without added stress caused by you not returning a message from your management company for 3 days. The router was so old the cable guy said he had never seen this one. I also fault Vacasa for not checking on things like old routers, as well as light bulbs that did not work and a torn screen in the primary bedroom that caused us to wake up with bits all over us. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time, and it is the most beautiful and relaxing place you could ever want to be.
