Situated in Lake Blackshear, this charming house for $279 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Excellent location on Lake Blackshear, property is on main body of the lake with perfect sunsets and recreational opportunities for the whole family. Conveniently located 2.5 hours south of Atlanta, 3BR/2BA log cabin property features some of the best big water sunsets on Lake Blackshear. A shaded porch wraps around half the home with wood burning fireplace, dock with large sun deck and covered area, outdoor fire pit by the water and private boat ramp...bring all your water/lake toys!!! With our private boat ramp you can launch your boat or PWC from the property, leave it safely in the water all week and conveniently park your trailer out of the way and out your view. Lake Blackshear offers more than 20 miles of cruising as well as excellent spots for the best ski and wakeboard runs. After a full day of sun and fun, dine comfortably on the porch while the sun dips behind the pines to deliver the best sunsets in Georgia. Then enjoy the fire pit by the lake, visiting with friends and family while making s’mores over the fire. Georgia Veterans Park & Golf Course within 10 minute drive. On-lake dining at two restaurants are a quick 10 minute boat ride away. Several nearby dining options including seafood, steak and BBQ are within a 10 minute or less drive by car. Grocery options nearby also. The interior of the home offers panoramic views from all of the living areas plus upstairs. With a large, open living/dining/kitchen area, you can gather a crowd without feeling cramped. Bedrooms: Upstairs: Master with King + twin for young families or those with small children. Downstairs: One Bedroom with queen bed. “Bunk Room” with 2 double beds and 1 twin (up). Beds sleep 10. Full baths upstairs and down. The living room offers comfortable furnishings, stereo, a wood burning fire place and big screen TV with blue-ray DVD player. “Bunk Room” has TV/DVD/Cable. The washer and dryer are conveniently located on the main floor. All appliances are modern and dependable with a full kitchen, dishwasher and microwave. Other amenities include: Hardwoods in main living area, wood floors in master, cable + wireless internet. Towels, linens, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, and dishwasher detergent are provided and included in the rental fees. Home is Handicap accessible (not ADA) including ramp to entry, downstairs bath and wide doorways. This is a family vacation home built and maintained by one family since 1996. Great house on Lake Blackshear. Everything is as described. Plenty of space for family and friends. We really enjoyed the covered back porch. Great place to watch the lake while having your morning coffee. Kitchen has everything anyone would need. Used the propane grill which never hurts! For those wanting to enjoy the lake, the dock is perfect. The fans are a must on hot days and buggy nights. The TV is a bonus. The fishing was great if you like catching bluegill, shellcrackers, crappie, perch, channel blue & flathead cats and gar😑. We had a blast!

We searched for a house on the lake that would accommodate 2 households and this was everything we dreamed and more. The views of the lake were phenomenal and the private boat ramp and dock made ease of launching our boats a breeze! The kids enjoyed swimming in the shallow part by the boat ramp and we made lots of memories! We would definitely stay here again! This house was in a prime location to Lake Blackshear and was a beautiful cabin inside and out.

We had an amazing long weekend at The Hill’s lake house! It was well stocked with everything we needed! The living space was perfect for our group of 5 plus our day visitors of local family of 7!! Everyone enjoyed the dock and swimming off the dock! We trailered our boat and it was awesome that we were able to launch it on the ramp on the property!! It was the perfect getaway! We will be back, in fact talking about an annual

One of the most comfortable homes we have ever stayed in! It was very quiet and relaxing time on the boat dock watching the fishing boats and enjoying the beautiful sunsets across the lake! Perfect location for us! The total atmosphere of this location was sheer serenity! We saw egrets, and mallard ducks, and of course watched the fish jumping in the lake!
We will be happy to be able to stay at this home again!

My wife and I wanted to go to Lake Blackshear as a possible retirement spot to see if we would like it and thanks to Marc and this wonderful house and property we are now actively house shopping in Crisp County. The host was extremely responsive and helpful and the home and sunset views a nothing short of stunning!

Loved being able to go to Stricklands and get water and breakfast sandwich’s . Really cute squirrel on the rail playing on our last morning. Picture perfect trees with old man’s beard. Our 4th year’s stay did not disappoint! Teens loved the big yard for football, dog loved the lake, husband loved the fireplace, and I loved watching my family enjoy our time together! Thank you Marc for another fantastic year!

Perfect spot for our family to meet and spend the weekend together. The dock was perfect for swimming and fishing and the kids enjoyed running around in the yard. The back porch was the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee and evening glass of wine!

Family Vacation.
This was the first family vacation since my husband passed away last year. It was bittersweet for us to be vacationing without him but I know he would be happy that we continuing the tradition. He would be so pleased that all the kids and grandkids were with me.

If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, and exceptionally clean place to stay for a few days on lake Blackshear, this is, by far, the best place. This is a beautiful log home, with exposed post and beams, cathedral ceilings in the living area and in the upstairs bedroom. Very cozy and warm homey feeling. You can really relax and enjoy the wonderful view of the lake and sun sets. It has a really nice back porch area to grill out on and enjoy the breeze , the sound of the birds, and the sweet smell of the honey suckles that line the property on the right hand side. The boat ramp on the property makes it nice to put the boat in the water and take it out if the weather gets bad like it did one day with us. We are country people and we felt right at home here. The people that clean this place deserve an award! Very clean and tidy and we can’t say enough about how comfortable everything was. We will definitely go back because we enjoyed it so much. Marc, the person I communicated with was quick to respond and was straight up about everything. He even , unknowingly ,helped us with the TV because it only had three channels. Now it has more than you can believe. They are all smart TV’s and we are older, so you know how that went! Lol! Fishing was good. We caught several largemouth and all were at least 2 lbs., with a couple over 4 lbs. The dock is really nice and has an area with a table and chairs to enjoy the lake up close. We didn’t use the firepit because the wind was not cooperative, but it has one if that is your thing. To sum it up, this is a very cozy, quiet, homey, and comfortable place with a laid back atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will be back, God willing.

Only a 30min trip from our driveway to the cabin. Everything was well stocked, clean, and just as described in the listing. Spent the days fishing from the awesome dock and going out on the boat (separate rental). Will definitely go back!

Great communication, easy check-in. Kitchen is well stocked and the house was great. The boat dock is glorious…such a great spot to hang with friends and enjoy beautiful sunsets and stunning skies of stars!
