Nestled in Palacios, this attractive house for $128 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Oversized 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation home that sleeps 3 and is located on the Tres Palacios Bay. This rare find is only a short walk to the parks, the beach, the marina, the fishing pier, the bank, the pharmacy, the library, and the downtown shops and restaurants............... Computer and smart-phone withdrawal is possible, but not required for tranquil living in this fishing village. Ideal location for writer or artist who prefers to work uninterrupted. Walk the sea wall for two miles or fish from the pier. Enjoy the sailors and shrimpers who come and go in the dazzling beautiful sunrises and sunsets. If you love birding, you will marvel at the largest number of species found anywhere in the United States. A replica of the La Belle sailing ship that was discovered in the Matagorda Bay is just steps away in the marina. Just two blocks away is the museum with an interesting accumulation of Palacios treasures from years gone by. Dine on fresh seafood from our port or savor Mexican or Asian foods from local family owned restaurants. Without the pandemonium of big city distractions, a type of restful detoxification may occur and a peace you won't soon forget can set in. This oversized unit was the private residence of the previous owner and was designed for comfortable living for two people.

You could not ask for a better location to take advantage of the beauty of the bay. The guest house was fully furnished and ready to go.
Wonderful manger and neighbours make for a relaxing, peaceful stay. We stayed a month and will return next time we are in the area.

I adore Palacios, have stayed several times at other properties amd just LOVED this one!! The view is stunning, the calm bay beach 200 steps away, and it is just so incredibly peaceful. After a month's stay trust me, I HATED to leave.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, minus the tap water odor which leaves much to be desired - take bottled water with you to drink.

The beds in this place are extremely uncomfortable, worn out and noisy. If we moved in the least little bit, the noise woke us up. We actually left a day early because we were exhausted from lack of sleep. If the beds were replaced we would go back. The beds are a complete deal breaker.

Nice and isolated standalone garage apt, near the owners if you need them, but seperated enough to provide all the privacy needed. Wide view of the Bay from the deck and the main room of the apt. Owners were nice folks.

A wonderful place to stay so close to the water, walking paths and downtown. Beautiful view of the bay from the patio! Very clean, and well equipped kitchen. Chip and Carol are wonderful hosts. This place is a home away from home and we will definitely stay again!

The Laughing Gull
Nice relaxing spot, across from the Bay. Walking distance to a very nice lighted Pier. Nice walk down the wall for morning exercise. The house has a excellent view of the Bay! I cherished a cup of coffee with Fish and Gits for Breakfast , over looking the Bay. The Patio is furnished with nice chairs and a cool grill. We grilled some Chicken leg quarters . The Laughing Gull has all the cooking ware needed for any Chef. If you like chilling, this is the Destination!

Great location, clean roomy place
A short walk to the water with a great view from deck and dining area. Close to restaurants. This place had tons of space. Really clean. Only negatives: The door lock is hard to figure out. If you stay here know that while the kitchen is very well equipped don’t expect salt and pepper, sugar, coffee, etc.

Quiet Getaway
The property was a good size for myself, husband and teenage daughter. I loved that I could walk to the boardwalk and wished I had brought my bike. Originally, we had booked this house because it was so close to the Baptist Encampment we were going to help with that week. The camp was cancelled but we kept the reservation. It is in walking distance to Camp which would have been very handy.
They had all the supplies we needed. Owner was quick to respond to my messages. The living room furniture was comfortable and the large island/counter was nice. The Queen size bed was a little "squeaky" when you moved around but not terrible. Overall it was a great place for the three of us. I would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable
This rental was clean and comfortable for two people. The master bedroom and living area are very spacious. There is a nice view of the waterfront from the living area. We came to Palacios to fish, but the weather didn't cooperate, so it was nice to have a place where we had a good view and good places to walk. I would stay here again.
