We truly have something for everyone! Here are some things people visiting Maine need to know in advance: Cell phones: Although coverage is getting better, there are some places where cell phones don't get good reception. Chances are you will have service, but just in case, make sure you leave the number of the house you are renting with those who may need to get in touch with you. Coverage with AT&T can be spotty in many areas of Maine. Weather: If you have heard it once, you've heard it a hundred times: if you don't like the weather in New England, wait a minute. It can be hot in Rockland and cool in Port Clyde so make sure to pack a variety of clothes — from a bathing suit to a sweater for cool evenings. Check out the current local weather at www.weather.com Bugs: A lot of people ask us if we have mosquitoes...we sure do. But they aren't huge and they don't ruin a vacation. Bring some repellent, or pick some up at the local general stores and you will be fine; usually, you won't even notice them. Dogs: We love dogs around here, but each town has their own rules about pets. Make sure to look for signs stating if dogs are allowed and always have them on a leash. And if they leave behind anything, please pick it up. Not a fun surprise when you are exploring the beautiful shoreline. You can also be fined for not picking up after your four-legged friend. Provided for your convenience are initial supplies of the following: linens, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and beach towels, your first tank of propane for the gas grill, dish soap, dishwashing soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and paper towels. There is basic cable, wireless internet and a home phone (long distance is not included). While we make every effort to assure the accuracy of this listing, as well as the condition of equipment and quality of provided services, we make no implied guarantee of connectivity for wireless internet or services provided by a third party. That being said, we will do everything in our power to remedy any situation as quickly as possible, and we thank you for your understanding. High Sees is a Saturday-to-Saturday year round.

This property was exceptionally clean and well cared for. It had all the amenities we were looking for given a long-term stay, including an amazingly stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a perfect location for spending time in Port Clyde. We’ve rented a lot of properties over the years, but this was by far one of the nicest, in terms of meeting our expectations and then exceeding them. We will be back!.

The location is amazing. Views of the water and a short walk to the center of Port Clyde. The house I supplied with everything you need to make the stay like being in your own home.

The view from the balcony is amazing. Location is terrific. Port Clyde is just a short walk and features a general store, a great ice cream place, two cafes, and an excellent restaurant. From Port Clyde, you can also go on a day trip to Monhegan Island. Drift Inn Beach is just a five minute drive. Kayaking from Tenants Harbor, a 15 minute drive.

Really enjoyed our stay at High See's. The views are better than the pics and the space has everything you need. Easy walk to Port Clyde for ferry, dinner, and snacks. A couple of things for us: first, the beds were super, I mean super firm. Might be fine for some, a little tough for us. Second, the water didn't smell right so we did bottled water. We live off of well water but maybe something local? Anyway, it didn't matter to the vacation which was great. And host was wonderfully responsive to our questions before we came.

The house was lovely and exactly as advertised. If anything, the view from the deck was understated. My wife and I loved sharing our morning coffee there. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked, and made it easy to prepare meals when we were not enjoying local restaurants. Our two boys -- ages 16 and 10 -- enjoyed having the downstairs game room and TV and got good use of the croquet and corn hole games. Unfortunately, the ping pong table was inoperable, but that hardly affected our stay. We all agreed that we would be happy to spend more time at this property.
