A fabulous place to have as our own for 7 days! Never got tired of seeing and hearing the waves!! More than expected as far as unit is concerned. However, be prepared for 12 steps to climb and upstairs unit if rented can be annoying to hear!!!!

This is our fourth stay on Isle of Palms, at a different condo complex each time. As always, Island Realty staff were very professional and informative. Seagrove 2B is in the perfect location on the beach, just steps from the water and a quick drive from the Wild Dunes gate. We liked the mix of regular height chairs and tall chairs on the balcony. We really liked the extra stairway directly from the balcony to the ground level. The interior was very clean. The kitchen is very large and has all the equipment you need, including enough dish detergent and dishwasher powder for several days. The kitchen/great room has very nice vinyl plank flooring. Faucets and sinks throughout the unit seemed newer. Bathrooms were clean, well appointed, and quite large. Beds looked newer and mattresses were comfortable. We had plenty of sheets, towels, etc., with the exception of only one dish towel (could have used a couple more). Spots were always available in the parking lot, but while the C and D units in this building had covered parking spots, the A and B units did not. A welcome surprise on the first floor of the building was a storage room specifically for 2B full of beach items such as chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards. We have three suggestions: 1) add room darkening curtains in the bedrooms (it never got quite dark enough at night and we also had headlights from cars shining in occasionally), 2) the sofa and love seat could use a good cleaning or replacement, and 3) the carpeting in the bedrooms needs to be switched out for hard surface flooring with new subflooring added beneath to firm it up. Then add area rugs for coziness. The building is definitely older and the floors in general feel spongy and are squeaky. We also noticed a lot of noise when our upstairs neighbors walked on similarly squeaky floors. If all the noisy floors in this condo complex could be fixed, Seagrove would be a perfect choice for staying on Isle of Palms.

Location was just what we wanted. Close to beach and close to resort area, which made for a good time with the family. The place itself could be so much better with some effort, and needs some investment. It’s summer and the master bedroom & bath gets almost no air, so it’s very uncomfortable, unfortunately. This needs to be addressed. Other bedroom not much better. Pans and cooking items are limited and worn out. The couches are dirty, and we immediately covered them with in sheets/patterns covers in order to feel they were ok to sit on. Linens provided with this rental are bare bones, as the towels are very small and thin, which led to doing laundry everyday and using more towels than a family of 4 should need. Either owner or rental company needs to upgrade these. Again, location is great. We just wish it had been more comfortable based on the notes we provided, and we wouldn’t rent it again due to those.

The property's proximity to the beach and pool is fantastic. While there was a dirty washcloth left on the floor of a bathroom, the rest of the property was spotless at check in. The one drawback to this property is a big one, though. There's a second entry door that leads to the main stairs. While it is locked and blocked so it doesn't get used, it allows an amazing amount of sound to echo down the hallway and to the main bedroom. Every time someone goes up or down the exterior stairs, every whisper, shout, clink, stomp, and bang is amplified and carried far.

We had a great time. Location is unbeatable. Would rent this unit again. expereince would be enhanced and more upscale, given the price point, if the unit had foam or down mattress toppers and higher quality bedding ( way 400-600 coount pima cotton or bamboo), as well as some basic condiments (salt/pepper; seafood boil seasoning; cooking oil/spray and such). Only problem was parking: no matter which spot we took someone objected ( left us a note); so direction on parking could be clearer as to which unit has what spot(s). Also, took us a bit to catch onto the beach stuff in the side storage area. Will use you again if we are in the area. Your service and communication is first rate, courteous, and clear. appreciated your periodic messages and beinb able to arrange for beach chairs and umbrella through you. It was so easy. Isle of Palms is wonderful! Loved Refuge and Acme Low Country Kitchen and the ice cream parlor on sullivan's island. Grocery shopping is convenient. Also arranged to surf fishing gear for three days and had a blast. Enjoyed Charleston, Boon Plantation, Magnolia Plantation, and the Hunley exhibit, as well as a horse drawn carriage tour. Would like to come back for sure!

We enjoyed our stay late May stay in this beautiful end-unit, direct oceanfront condo with pool views. The king bed in the master br was heavenly. We didnt use the double beds in the 2d br, nor the sofa bed in the LR this trip. Wifi was excellent. Peaceful surroundings, easy access to pool and beach. We will return.

The condo was beautiful and we loved the oceanfront deck. There's not too much nearby in the way of shops and restaurants, but those were a 5 minute drive away. The kitchen supplies are pretty thin with very old scratchy pans and pantry is empty - be sure to bring your own cooking supplies. There are also no beach towels which was surprising for a beach house. I recommend the owner stock up at costco!

We loved Seagrove 2B for its location. The 2 bed, 2 bath unit was perfect for 2 retired adults who like a little space. The only negative was noise from upstairs renters. We heard every step. They had 2 small children, who ran a lot. Still, this unit was a stone’s throw from the beach. We’d consider it again.

Seagrove 2B is a first floor oceanfront unit with a magnificent oceanfront view. The unit is comfortable and well equipped though a bit shop worn. The problem was neighbors in the unit above who arrived at eleven and partied on until 2:30. These condos are wood construction with virtually no sound insulation. Your enjoyment of your stay will be entirely dependent on the politeness of your upstairs neighbors. Island Realty responded quickly to our sleepless night by moving us to better and quieter accommodations.

Beautiful condo with an amazing view. The convenience of having a key pad on the back door made access to the beach a breeze. A few minor fixes would make the stay perfect. First, as was mentioned in previous reviews, having chairs on the porch that are taller would allow an unobstructed view of the ocean. Second, squeezing full beds in the second room made it tricky to walk around, especially in the middle of the night. One of the frames is broken at the foot. And third, please, please provide additional soap and shampoo. The meager amount provided quickly ran out. It would also be helpful to provide a hair dryer.

We had to say upon arrival the view blew us away, but upon further review noticed a few short comings. First off in the spare bedroom I quickly noticed the bedframe damaged to the point of leaning and nervous of collapse. Next was in the kitchen and knob to drawer next to the refrigerator was off and in drawer. Finally were the games in the unit. All seemed to be missing pieces to the point of not being able to setup or play. All this could be overlooked if it were possibly later in the season but it was June 26. Also the sliding glass door latch was damaged not allowing it to lock securely. I will say that it might be on the inspector for the condo, than on the owner as they signed off on the unit being ready and up to par. Many wait all year to experience what one hopes to be a relaxing and fun filled week and things like this to some might have started the trip on a negative note. I did not allow this to disrupt our trip and we made the best of it as a family. Other than that the place was clean and enough for our family.

The air conditioner became defective while we visited and began to smell likes it was burning so the fire department had to come to the unit and they Turned the power off to the unit and we had no air for two days although fans were brought to the unit. The property manager called us on two occasions stating she would have all the nights reimbursed . It took weeks to receive a partial reimbursement of one night of the 3nights . We would have been better off if she hadn’t told us that the nights would have been reimbursed as you should back up your promises made to the renters.

We have rented condos in Seagrove a few other times through Island Realty and were always pleased with the properties. Not this time. This property was filthy. I wiped all of the wood furniture down with cleaner because I couldn't stand it and the paper towels were black when I got done. Not only did I have to cover the furniture with sheets to sit on because it was so dirty, it also sags and is very uncomfortable. Time for new furniture. The dishes all had a film on them and I washed before I used them. The cookware was crusty with old food so I didn't even bother using them. There are pet stains on the carpets in the bedroom. The door was hanging off of the laundry room. The only thing this place has going for it is the location because it's right on the beach. This home is below the standard for Island Realty.

The unit needs a little maintenance and restocking of kitchen items - hot pads, oven mitts, spatula, full set of flatware, etc. The unit does not have a blow dryer, nor does the property management company. Based on the nightly price and that fact these are common in every rental property for the last 20 years, seems strange not to have one.

Off to a rough start, but the vacation got better. Upon arrival into the condo, we noticed a distinct bad smell. We looked throughout the condo, and found that the washing machine had dark, probably stagnant water in it. We called Maintenance, and were told it would be the next day before someone could take a look. The smell was so bad, we had to drive to the store to purchase items to cover the smell for the night. Maintenance came the next day and removed the dirty water with the bad smell. Things got better after that.

The location and porch are the positives and sitting area was fine. But the rugs in both bedrooms need replacement - very dirty and stained. Poorly equipped kitchen cookware in extremely poor condition. Bed was comfortable but bedding looked like it was thrown together from a visit to the Goodwill store. This is the most disappointing rental we have had with Island Realty.

The carpet in the bedrooms is worn, stained, and in need of replacement. The bed linens were ill-fitting and at first glance appeared to be soiled. After washing the linens they were found to be clean but worn. A minor detail, but there were several light blubs in need of replacement. The door of the dryer on the stackable units would not stay closed making it difficult to dry clothes. This could be a great unit, but could use a little love.

However inside was not. The front door frame and door itself are really badly rusted and I had to work to get it open and once I did it was fine, but it looks awful. The washer/ dryer is also very rusted and and should be replaced- the drapes over the sliders are awful and half of the hooks don't hold the curtains. The dishwasher doesn't close properly, and the bedroom rug is a disgrace. I don't know who had a dog but it smelt and has many dog pee stains. The unit really needs some TLC and I wonder if Island Realty has looked at it and suggested to the owner what to fix. I will be hesitant to rent for you again as I did say we were looking for a more upscale unit on the island.

The location is lovely right on the beach and beside the pool. The condo is ready for some updates. The sofa and loveseat are completely worn out! You literally feel the frame due to no cushioning, very uncomfortable. Carpet in the bedrooms is stained and icky. Some mold on ceilings and wood rot In guest bath. It just needs some TLC and the condo will be lovely again. Thank You
