About this bed and breakfast
Situated in Tampa, this attractive bed and breakfast for $125 per night is a great option for your next trip. Lakefront guesthouse-full kitchen living room-very large bedroom and full bath. On 2.5 acres. Beautifully newly decorated. Two flat screen TVs with Ruku-WiFi -high end laminate flooring-comfortable high thread count sheets on unbelievably comfortable queen bed. All kitchen appliances with coffee bar with Keurig. Wooded rural setting with beautiful views of ski lake-private exit to lake access. Wood deck outside guesthouse. Ample parking space. In unit washer and dryer. The property is rural and quiet. Not for people who want to be in a city....lol. The property is a farm-like setting with chickens, 2 Nigerian dwarf goats, a Khatadan lamb, a lab mix, and a Great Pyrenees. We also have 2 ducks and 3 miniature donkeys. The property is in a very private, quiet area of Odessa. We are on a dead-end street with very little traffic. The following information should help you to decide if this stay would be for you before you arrive, and are disappointed. The property does contain THREE houses - the lakehouse, the guesthouse, and the main house (where we live). All have access to the backyard. I have included photos that illustrate the proximity of the three houses. PLEASE UNDERSTAND: This is NOT an isolated house alone on the lake. Please do not book if this will be a problem for you. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE PET FRIENDLY. We are clean freaks and we clean very thoroughly after each guest, but as pet parents know, those animal hairs are tricky little things and as hard as we try to find them all, we may miss some. Also some larger items (sofas, chairs, decorative pillows, etc.) are not replaced after each guest. Please understand that if you are allergic to animals, don't care for animals, are offended by the occasional pet hair or paw print that might have been missed while cleaning, or in general do not like or are unfamiliar with spaces where animals have been, please do not book with us. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) We obviously love animals and welcome housebroken dogs and cats with litter boxes. BUT, Please don't book if your dog uses potty pads. We have wood floors. We have not charged a pet fee in the past. Unfortunately not all guests have been courteous in cleaning up after their pets. Our cleaner is charging us an additional fee after stays with pets. To cover this cost, we must add a pet fee to our bookings. So sorry-We tried to avoid this!!!! 2) We love scents and use Wallflower essential oil plugins. If you are allergic or prefer no scent, please let us know and we will remove them before your arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The guest house is part of a larger property. It has been recently remodeled and is very nice. They have thought of everything they we could have possibly wanted to enjoy our stay. The owners are very accessible for any quick requests. We brought our dog along and that worked well, too. Clean, cozy, and good location in relation to where we needed to be. Our daughter loved seeing the donkeys each morning. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Owners thought of everything for a great stay. They have a large fenced in yard that our dog loved. Hosts were friendly and very accommodating. Location was good. Lots to do in Tampa, St Pete, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin and Clearwater.

Relaxing Getaway
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this lovely place to anyone. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed just walking around the property and seeing the lake view and all the animals.

Acceptable location and reasonably clean apart from the clutter. This would have been a 3 star overall review if not for the completely unwarranted hostility we were shown. I called ahead to ask if the linens were washed with scented fabric softener, a common allergen. We said we would bring our own in case. She later angrily claimed she spent "hours" rewashing which is simply not true. We arrived when it was quite dark and couldn't see the guest house entrance and rang the main bell. She eventually came to the door angrily and asked why I didn't read her instructions. Two large, friendly but AGGRESSIVE dogs slammed against my wife. She led us to the room and left. Two "air fresheners" were plugged into the wall spewing an intense fog, which felt like were were being water-boarded with Febreze. She claimed these were “essential oils.” I doubt it. Not wanting to experience more of her gratuitous hostility, we then tried to open the windows finding that they had no screens (with the exception of the bathroom.) No screens in Florida=being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Having no choice but to call her, she came over, apparently still angry. I explained. She then told me she removed all screens because, according to her, in FL, no "ever opens windows," which is nonsense. She said that the screens "ruined the view" though there is simply no view at all from her guest house. Now, as were were speaking, I may have had a look of discomfort on my face due to the harsh smell. She immediately started shrieking and yelling that she was being "attacked" and had "bent over backwards" trying to accommodate us for the bed linens. I tried to "apologize" to normalize to situation. She shrieked that we should "GET OUT NOW" [it was late] and "quoted" comments I never made. Sleepless nite, had early appt's, so left a little late next day and were charged for 2 nites plus cleaning fee. She later sent a taunting text that I couldn't review her on VRBO and that "the joke is on [me.]"

We enjoyed the guest house, property and animals. We were able to make a nice Thanksgiving meal with kitchen equipment. It was relaxing and comfortable. The hostess was great.

Dog Show Haven
We stayed here during the large AKC dog show held yearly in Tampa- we had 3 of our fur babies with us and had a wonderful time- the property was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

The guesthouse is tastefully decorated, spacious, clean, and the setting is, oh, so beautiful. I traveled with my son, daughter and our dogs. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. From our first moment on the property, we felt welcomed and couldn’t have asked for nicer accommodations and hospitality. We loved meeting the animals too! Our only disappointment was not being able to spend more time there. As stated before, it’s perfect!!!

It's an incredible experience!
What a beautiful month we had! Relaxation was our goal and we enjoyed every minute. Laurel and Wesley are just exceptional and their goal is to make you happy. The guesthouse is very efficient and well decorated. We are already booked for next year!

My niece, 3 large dogs & myself stayed at Laurel's mini-farm for about a week. Conveniently located to lots of attractions but still a country setting. We absolutely loved it. My niece loved interacting with the animals & seeing my dogs' reactions to the sheep, goats & chickens. Her 2 dogs were also so friendly. Laurel was a delight that my niece liked talking to on the hammock. I definitely would recommend her place to anyone & if I vacation in the Tampa area again I will definitely check for availability at Laurel's!

high ceilings, nice kitchen area, bedroom isolated by doors from bathroom and kitchen and lounge area
quite area to stay and about 15 or 20 minutes to Tarpon Springs which has a nice Greek history with waterfront docks that serve commercial fishing and sponge boats. Several boat and fishing tours at Tarpon Springs but we did not have time for that.
Recommend you have a navigation app for your cell phone and it would be nice if you arrive during daylight hours to familiarize yourself with area

Perfect stay at a wonderful lake cottage
We have been traveling and staying at many unique places, however, this was the best of all. Laurel and Wesley were the perfect hosts. Both went out of their way to make our visit perfect. Wesley even put up a dog run so our lab mix could stay outside with us when we were enjoying the Florida weather. Laurel knew everything about the local area and provided us with many useful tips. I would be amiss if I did not mention they were not the only gracious host. We were met at the door and walked to our van every time we left. Lola was a great host and a wonderful guide. Of course, it may have something to do with the milk bone treat she received, but that is a story for another time. If you have the opportunity to visit theTampa area check on the availability of this site.

Peaceful & Beautiful
We had a really nice February at this place on the lake in Keystone Florida. Laurel was a very friendly and good hostess and took care of all of our needs. The house is very updated and nice. Our dogs were walcome there and we were very comfortable and every need was met. I will go back and I'm planning to next year.

Only disappointing part was for the time of the year the lake view and the yard were not enjoyed. House was what we expected and the hostess was very accommodating.

Very Comfortable Stay
This one bedroom guest house was perfect for me, my wife and Sheltie. There was separate entrance that provided easy access to the apartment, which was very nice, clean and nicely furnished. We met Laurel who was a great host and worked with us in arriving late.

Enjoyed out stay!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is nicely furnished and Laurel was helpful and an excellent host. Beautiful location and we felt welcomed and at home. Suggestion to Laurel:
It would have been nice to have some basic cooking stuff, like salt & pepper, cooking oil so we didn't have to buy it, plus bottled water for coffee and drinking.

Home away from home!
This is a lovely guest house in a country setting, but still convenient to everything in the Tampa area. The interior is beautifully decorated and well equipped. After busy days of running our dogs to doggie daycare (we highly recommend Happy Tails in Land O' Lakes), and visiting friends and family, it was wonderful to come back to this beautiful, relaxing guest house. The owner/hostess will make you feel right at home. We can't thank Laurel enough for such a wonderful stay!

Beautiful Location, Lovely Getaway
Myself, my mom, and my dog all had a lovely time at Laurel's place. They made sure we had everything we needed and took care of minor issues right away. They were great at communication, just a text, call, or 2-step walk away. This guest house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and about a 40-minute scenic drive to a lovely beach on the Gulf. In the backyard there's a lovely lake to sit in front of and drink coffee in the morning. All in all a perfect little place to get away. We would definitely stay again and maybe do some more touristy things, but we had a relaxing long weekend July 7-10.

Nice Lake Guest House with easy access to all things
Laurel and Wesley were awesome ! From the time we arrived... appreciated the warm welcome and excellent overview of the house and all amenities. We stayed for almost a week and took several dog walks from the house enjoying the outdoors and constant bird activity. The interior is decorated very eloquently, yet has a cool vibe to it especially amongst all the trees and serene lake environment. Fully equipped kitchen including coffee maker. Overall nice place to stay in the Tampa area and would recommend highly.

Staying here was like staying w family. The home is beautifully decorated. It is clean and has all the comforts of being home. Laurel is an awesome person and very accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and calming/relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone 1000% and would stay here again if I'm ever back in FL. Thank you for being so inviting.

Great place to stay if you need a longer term rental
This was a nice place to stay. I needed a place for several months to stay that was close to Tampa and furnished. It was very comfortable, nicely furnished and had everything I needed. Even though it was only one bedroom there was plenty of space with a large walk-in closet and washer and dryer which was really nice to have. The owner as very nice and we got to know each other but I also had my privacy. It was very pet friendly and easy for my dog with a yard and areas to go walk. Easy to get around the area and good access to the major roads but still secluded and relaxing. I really didn't want to leave when the time was up and it passed by so quickly. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice place that is in a quieter area but still close to everything.

My Girlfriend and I stayed at this lovely guest house for a week and wished we stayed forever lol. The pictures of the place do not do it justice. We had a great time relaxing here in luxury with all the comforts at home. The owner was available anytime we had a question and never did we encounter any problems.
