If you see it on another website it is a scam.*** "Once Upon a Tide" is a waterfront home located on Hood Canal in Belfair, WA. It is the perfect beach getaway – just 90 minutes from Seattle. The beach house sits on 100 feet of private, no-bank, pebble beach waterfront and features a large deck to take in the spectacular views. The home sleeps six and has two bedrooms and a loft. The main floor features a large great room with a spacious dining area along with the kitchen, large bedroom (queen sized bed), and full bath. A spiral staircase leads to the second bedroom (queen sized bed) with half bathroom, and a catwalk takes you to the loft area with two twin beds. In addition to enjoying the incredible waterfront views, and everything that Hood Canal has to offer, you can enjoy unlimited usage of the provided sup (stand up paddle board) and kayaks. You can also get back to basics with a campfire on the beach (please check for burning restrictions) or head out to the boat-house to play a game of ping pong or electronic darts - all with an incredible view! Activities at "Once Upon a Tide" include: paddleboarding (included), kayaking (included), swimming (summer water temperatures reach 70+ degrees), oyster picking, crabbing, clam digging, and incredible fishing (salmon, steelhead, sea trout). Close to Hoodsport – a world class scuba diving destination, wine tasting, and golf (five local courses, including Alderbrook). "Once Upon a Tide" is very well appointed - providing all the comforts of home! Amenities include – cable TV, high speed Wifi, Keurig coffee machine, Weber gas grill and washer/dryer. *******Please note that the maximum occupancy is 6 people. My wife and I had been hoping to get away to Hood Canal for many years and this place was perfect. Excellent access to the water (and oyster bed!) from a perfectly appointed home. Owners were very responsive when we had questions.

Staying at this lovely home has become an annual event for our family. We always have the most wonderful time! The kids have learned to kayak on their own using the provided kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We always make our way through at least half of the board games. And my youngest has really enjoyed playing the Lego video game. The boathouse is also a favorite! The kids love to play ping pong and the ring on the string game. The spacious deck is one of my favorite places and the place where we hang out the most. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place!

This property was everything I expected, and just as it seemed in the listing. Beautiful and relaxing. A bonus I didn't notice in the listing was the swimming dock just off the shore. Owner was very responsive and helpful. One minor adjustment I'd add is that the confirmation email seemed to indicate that K cups were necessary. However, there is also a traditional coffee pot. Highly recommend this vacation home!

We had a lovely time at this charming beach house with two families in mid June. The property was perfect - cozy, clean and with plenty of things to do - ping pong, beach bonfires, bird and seal watching from the deck, and with a very well stocked kitchen for our group of cooks! Highly recommend, we plan to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at your place! The Hood Canal was so much fun to kayak and paddle board in and all your other amenities like the boathouse which allowed us to play ping pong and your large deck with the beautiful views....simply fun and breathtaking!! We didn't want to leave!! The accommodations was perfect for all 6 of us!!

My friends and I stayed at this property last year and had such a great time that we thought we would make it an annual occurrence. It was horribly stormy for our stay but having the games in the boathouse saved the day as we enjoyed two days of ping pong, chatting, listening to music (with the house Bose speaker), and having a great time. Hopefully next year our weekend won’t be as stormy so we can put in some time on the water line we did the year before. Really great experience again!

This VRBO is amazing. It is nicely updated and had almost everything we needed. The first thing you will notice when you enter is the water view, then you step out on the back deck and won’t want to leave. Thank you for sharing this location with us. If you like to cook while you are there I would bring your own pans. We had some trouble with not enough pans and some of them would stick. Other than that, we loved the place and no one wanted to go home.

We loved our stay at Once Upon a Tide. It is a beautiful home with every amenity you need. Access to the water was perfect and we had fun using the paddle boards and kayaks. The game room was an extra bonus with great views as you play darts or ping pong. We love visiting Hood Canal each year and will certainly be back.

Very nice house right on the water. Well stocked and had everything we needed. Saw lots of wildlife and played lots of games, the boathouse/game room was a nice addition. Would definitely go back.

I stayed here with my two adult daughters. We had an awesome time the place is absolutely beautiful! One of our favorite things was the game closet, it has the best games! One of my daughter's favorite things was the box drum. She beat that drum all weekend. LoL. Was the perfect soul searching weekend for us. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed for a Family gathering in Tahuya. This property served as overflow as it was nearby other family. Charming property with lots of personality. Would definitely stay here again, and my cousin may book it for a get away. Beautiful beachfront location with all the perfect appointments for a cozy stay. We were lucky with the weather in March. Loved coffee on the deck in the late mornings once the fog burned off. Owners were great to communicate with.

This is such a wonderful property. The house is well stocked, beds are comfortable, owners are easy to communicate with, and there are lots of games and puzzles to keep kids (and grow ups) occupied. We had so much fun in the game room/boathouse and enjoyed sitting by the fire on the beach. Thank you Matt and Karen for sharing your home! We hope to return some day.

Once upon a tide was such a nice beach house. The house had so many nice touches, the deck was nice to sit out on at all times of the day, and taking the kayaks out on the canal was a blast. I will definitely stay again!
