Beautiful little cottage right in Hot Springs. My first love and I wanted somewhere quiet to spend our first Christmas together and this place was perfect! Loved the coffee/tea bar, the bed and pillows were so comfortable (I brought my own pillow because I’m picky about that sort of thing) but I never got it out of our car! Also loved the fact that phone cords were provided! My boyfriend forgot his so that was nice! We really enjoyed the books that were there as well. Found some great stories in them. The hot tub was amazing and super private. Loved the fact we could walk into town and grab food (The grey eagle has amazing taco and burritos) and when everything was closed on Christmas Day the kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed to cook! Def recommend this place! Melanie was amazing!!!

well equipped, had everything we needed. Cold and damp when we arrived. House has a musty smell. Could benefit from the attention of a handyman. Front door takes some work to get it securely closed, heating vents are rusty, some are hanging loose. Steps to get into the hot tub. I was unable to get in, if you're 5"4' and a little chonky like me. Owner was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat, things to do in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Trailside Cottage! The AC kept us cool despite unseasonably warm temps outside. I would suggest bringing extra towels if you plan on using the hot tub or hitting some swimming holes. The house was tidy and the bathroom was clean, but there were other details that had likely been overlooked by the cleaners for several weeks. The location is great— not only for walking to town, but just a few minute’s drive away from great hiking and fishing. Would stay here again.

Our weekend at Hots Springs was amazing. The house worked well for everyone, super close to downtown and trails. Loved hanging out on the porch and around the fire pit. Melanie was very attentive to all our needs. Would definitely come back. Thanks for everything!

Was really looking forward to exploring Hot Springs and all that surrounds. Unfortunately, it was cold and raining during our stay and my husband was a bit under the weather as well. We did appreciate the wifi being stuck indoors. A brief break in the weather allowed us to stroll around town a bit. Breakfast at the diner was nice. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Had everything we needed!!

Trailside cottage was perfect for relaxing after a few days on trail. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen stocked with all I needed. The town is quiet and the views serene. I'd certainly plan on staying again on my next trip to Hot Springs.

The hot tub was wonderful. We hiked a lot, spent a day in Asheville, did puzzles, played games and watched movies. Melanie was great at communication.

We had a fun time at this very comfortable cottage. Hot Springs is a neat, super friendly town and is an easy walk from the property. The Appalachian Trail is next door. The hot tub looked inviting but we didn’t have a chance to enjoy it. Melanie was responsive and helpful. Would def stay again.

My husband and I enjoyed our few days away. The hot tub was wonderful and the location was very convenient. We walked out dog to and from the dollar store and enjoyed the view of the October leaves.

Be prepared for older home, not modern accommodations. It has great "charm"! It's on a somewhat busy highway so be aware if you have kids and / or dogs. It's an easy distance to town. Make sure you have food as there are few restaurants and many were closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The house is very comfortable - it had everything we needed for our stay - pots, dinnerware, etc in the kitchen and towels, paper goods in the bathroom. The bed we used was very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub after our hikes! We were a short walk to Big Pillow brewery and other places in town.

My wife and I drove up to Hot Springs for a relaxing weekend with some hiking and driving the beautiful mountainous roads in the area. The location of the house is perfect, right next to the AT, and an easy, pleasant short walk into town. Our host was very accommodating and thoughtful in her responses.
We highly recommend this cabin.

The location of this property was perfect, 6 minute walk to town, 30 second walk to AT trailhead. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to make meals. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch in the rocking chair, taking in the view of the mountains. Breathtaking. The host contacted me the day before to see if I had any questions. Check in was super easy. Thanks so much, we enjoyed a peaceful weekend soaking in all the wonders of nature surrounding us.
