There is a master bedroom on the first and second floor, each with a king bed, a third bedroom with a queen bed and private bath, and a fourth bedroom that is ideal for kids of all ages - a double / twin bunk bed and an additional twin bed - also with a private bath. The fifth bedroom doubles as an entertainment area with 2 double futons and a private bath. The home features flat screen high definition televisions, cable television, DVD players, high speed internet, and unlimited free local and long distance telephone service (continental US only). The home is situated on a private cul de sac and is an easy 8 minute walk to the beach or a brief bike ride. A maximum of 4 cars can be parked in the driveway. On road parking is not permitted. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. Fabulous layout. Wonderful kitchen, reading nook, large bedrooms and family room. Beautiful deck and hot tub overlooking a lagoon. Short bike ride to the beach and miles of bike paths to explore the island and all of the beautiful nature. The owner was fabulous to work with. We will definitely stay here again.

The house was just perfect for our family. The bedrooms were very nice and bathrooms stocked with needed items. The kitchen was great for cooking and having 8 chairs was wonderful for eating and playing games! The location of the house was great for the little ones to ride their bikes and for all of us to ride to the bike trails close by. The walk to the beach was easy and convenient. A great time was had by everyone!

Overall our stay was great! About a 10 minute walk to beach. Bonus room had condensation leaking from ceiling & walls. Notified property owner. Hot tub had sand in it from previous users.

This house was perfect for a crowd! Various gathering areas provide the ability to have personal space. The location and surroundings are perfect. Right on an inlet - beautiful view! Great bonus room for teens to gather! The house was the most well-stocked home we have ever been in. Plenty of items available for the beach! Karen was the most attentive and helpful owner!

We had a wonderful stay at Hooded Merganser! Information provided was timely and accurate. Facilities were really nice and well-kept. The only negatives were an unclean outdoor table and grill. The home was well-appointed and well-stocked. Would definitely stay again.

The house not only us in a great spot, but has lots of extras such a chairs, sand toys, wagons etc for the beach. The hostess was easy to work with as well.

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay. The home is beautiful, updated, spacious and the views are lovely. It had everything for all ages. My 10 year old loved the hot tub, my 15 year old loved the loft room and my mom spent a ton of time looking at the water and birds. We had a family celebration on Christmas Eve with approximately 15 people attending dinner and we had plenty of space for eating, watching football, building gingerbread houses and playing games. Karen, the owner, was such an awesome host. She helped us navigate everything to make it a perfect holiday getaway. The house has absolutely all you would need for a comfortable stay. I hope to visit again.

This house is amazing. Everything was so smooth, and Karen was so attentive before and during the trip. The house was above and beyond what we were expecting! We loved starting and finishing the day in the hot tub overlooking the lagoon - which we saw alligators every morning! So fun to watch! Thank you!!

This house is owner managed so the communication was easy and efficient. The house was exactly as pictured. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked for a VRBO listed property. The proximity to the beach was ideal. There were high quality beach chairs and a wagon in the garage that made for a nice beach set up. Unfortunately the jacuzzi needed repair and wasn't available the first 6 days of the 9 day stay.

The space and amenities at the house fit all my family's needs and was a perfect choice for our vacation. The indoor and outdoor areas were very comfortable while also providing plenty of flexibility, whether the family was relaxing in the living room, cooking in the kitchen, hanging out in the hot tub, or working remotely. In addition to the space, the house was well stocked as if we were at our own home (kitchen appliances, beach gear, entertainment, etc.). As a host, Karen went above and beyond with her hospitality, responsiveness, and thoughtful touches throughout the entire stay. This lovely home truly made our vacation and experience on Kiawah Island memorable for everyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner was especially quick to answer our questions. One thing we loved about this home is the layout. It suited our family perfectly and I believe it would be appropriate for families with children of all ages. We would not hesitate to stay again and in fact, look forward to doing so.

We had a wonderful time. The house was spacious, with plenty of room for us to spread out. Karen was very responsive to our request and she had stocked the laundry room with supplies, which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of dishes/cups/glasses for our group (10 of us). We would definitely stay here again.

Great beach access with bikes. Nice porch and view of the golf course. Great hosts and very accessible. Loved all the beach chairs/toys and wagons available for us. The house is like being a someone's house, full stocked kitchen, linens etc.

We are repeat renters! Love this home. House is a very close walk or bike ride to the beach, behind second gate. Location fabulous. The owners have made everything easy—from spices to paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen amenities and beyond. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc., All very accessible. You can go on the first day and just relax. Lots of great space, very clean and enjoyable. There’s a hot tub on the back deck and a beautiful view. Communication with owner easy. We recommend highly!
