Great location, clean, quiet. Loved sitting out in the lanai!

Over all we were happy to stay in this condo. The kitchen has everything you need. Only need replaced the old small pan. The bed is comfortable but pillows are thin. I like there are a lot of storage in the kitchen, has a cooler to take drinks to the beach. The condo has Netflix which was good for our son to watch some days. The A/C is working well only the bedroom A/C has smell after you turn on for a few minutes, but we don't really use it because we stay in December and it wasn't hot. The resort location is great - close to grocery stores (Costco, Walmart, Safeway etc.), restaurants, beaches, Kona airport. The condo location is great too-very quiet, far from pools 3 min, the lanai facing to the golf fields, so it was nice scene while we had breakfast outside. The bathroom is spacious and everything worked well, no smell, no problem with sinks or toilet, many towels. Thank you Rita to keep price affordable and we were happy to find this condo, we will definitely come back again.

Condo 5-102 was perfect for our island getaway. The condo has everything you need and more to make your stay enjoyable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, spacious bathroom and kitchen. The grounds at Kona Coast Resort are unbeatable. Multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, grill areas and an onsite restaurant all made our stay even better! I loved that the complex was quiet yet close enough to town and other options for exploring offsite. I truly couldn’t have asked for more from our experience.

The condo has lots of room and it was a great stay. Didn't like the added charge for the AC, which we would not use, thankfully it was broken for over a month and we didn't get charged for it. They told us the day before we left, glad we didn't plan on using it. A few things could use a fixing, the sliding back doors were very hard to open and close and the locks were a hard to use. Dishwasher was on life support and half full of smelly water, just had to run it and it was half full of clean water.

We stayed in Kona for 10 day and enjoyed our stay. The condo is well equipped with everything we needed. Onsite staff are helpful and friendly. We would happily return.

A great condo not far from Kailua-Kona. Quiet, safe neighborhood with nearby grocery store. Perfect for a vacation.

We had a wonderful stay in Rita's condo. She was most helpful on the two occasions we requested her assistance. We had a small problem with the kitchen faucet, and Brandon, the local service person, we awesome both in his prompt attention to the situation as well as being courteous, kind, pleasant, and generally helpful. We highly recommend both Kona Coast Resort, and specifically Rita's condo.

I have stayed here multiple times, and have enjoyed it every time. The Condo is clean, and well appointed. The important things to me are a comfortable bed and an updated or well kept bathroom. This Condo has both. The bed was so comfortable for me, that I wanted to check the brand name to get one when I replace my own, but I forgot. The bathroom was remodeled from the original build, I believe, and it felt fresh. The kitchen is also fresh, but it’s not that important to me as I don’t always cook while I’m on vacation. But if you do, it has everything you would need. Only thing I can complain about is that there are no beach chairs to use. There are mats and beach towels, but I prefer to use chairs.

We have stayed in many condos over the past 50 years and this one matches the best. Fully equipped, very clean, responsive local contact, and in a 5 star local resort with all of the amenities.

Just got back from our 18-day visit over Christmas break. Condo was clean and well set up with everything we needed during our stay: lots of room with a well-equipped kitchen and a laundry. A welcoming island fruit basket was a nice touch. Lanai was very inviting with a view of landscape and golf course. Beds were comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Hi Rita: Thank you so much for the lovely stay at your condo. The kitchen was very welled equipped which was well appreciated. The bed was quite comfy and we slept well. The only thing that was a bit bothersome was the urine smell coming from the bathroom. I think it was the toilet bowl cleaner maybe being old?? Also the kitchen cabinets smelt a bit musty, maybe the shelf liners??? Beside that though, we truly enjoyed the grounds and pool. Thank you again for sharing your condo.

This condo area was by far the best atmosphere we’ve stayed. Most condos have so many strict rules, and with having boys, it was important to us that they could have “fun!” (We’ve stayed areas that they couldn’t even throw a football in the grass, and got yelled at in the swimming pool!) The amenities were open until 11 pm and had their own restaurant. The actual condo that we stayed in was ok, definitely needs a little updating, and there was no BBQ on the lanai like pictured or in the welcome book, (which was a big bummer since that was one of our requirements!) there was several community bbqs but we never used them with it being a little bit of a hassle. Overall it was ok, with it being the bottom condo, and no view, we most likely would not choose to stay there again, but served it’s purpose and the owner was quick at responding.

We have been traveling to Kona for years. Kona is our happy place. My father has a time share at the Kona Coast where we have stayed multiple times. Recently my husband and I wanted a get-a-way. Out of curiousity, I check VRBO. We hit the jackpot when we found 5-102. Very reasonably priced and we were able to stay for 8 nights! Very clean, kitchen is well stocked, new washing machine/dryer, coolers for beach, pool toys and so much more. The bed was super comfortable too. They have a screened in lani which I had never seen before. A wonderful place for a space to read and relax. We will definitely be staying here again. Can’t wait for our next adventure. Grocery store two minutes away. And, as always, access to gym, pool and spa with breathing views. Aloha!!

This is a beautifully appointed condominium in a quiet setting and conveniently located. As soon as I entered the unit I developed a sense of calm. I will try and reserve again for my next trip to the Big Island.

Had a great stay...condo was great. Couple things would have made the rating 5 - the bedroom a/c worked great, but not so much in the living room and it’s needed being that Kona is so hot. Biggest annoyance which prevented us from enjoying the expected “great view” and “private patio” was that we stayed indoors with the curtains drawn most of the time because of the renovation/construction that was going on with the condo above us. The workers made quite a bit of noise going up and down, constantly passing the front living room area, and hanging out in front of the patio area too. We were really expecting to enjoy everything the place offered, with some peace and quiet, especially with the kids. Not trying to be antisocial, just trying to enjoy family time without the distractions. Other than that, looking forward to returning someday. Mahalo!

Not only are the Resort's grounds and amenities impeccable, but Condo 5-102 is, hands down, the nicest condo I've ever stayed in. Not only is is well-appointed and decorated, but it has a huge open living/dining space, and a monstrously big bathroom with separate tub and walk-in shower and double sinks which, undoubtedly, have saved a few marriages during a Kona vacation (!) And kudos, too, for the king-sized pillow-top bed, which was a pure delight. Rita and Randy also deserve a lot of credit for their thoughtful inclusion of toiletries to which my husband has now become addicted (Organix, anyone?!) Basically, not only is this condo well decorated and designed tastefully, but also with a lot of thought and care, and I cannot speak highly enough not only of KCR's maintenance of the property, but also Rita and Randy's particular care and thoughtfulness of their guests.

This beautifully furnished, spacious condo provided everything we needed for a perfect week on the Big Island. From the moment we arrived and found the basket of fruit waiting for us, we knew we had made a great choice. We had family members staying in another unit at Kona Coast and our room was just a short walk from theirs. It was perfect. With so many rooms moving to a more "modern" decor, I was happy to find that sense of aloha and old hawaiiana in the furnishings of this condo. We highly recommend Condo 5-102.

As frequent visitors to the Big Island, we always look for places that offer good value, good location, clean, quiet and have enough room to relax. We were pleasantly pleased with this condo. It is all of the above and more. Communicating with the owner was easy and responsive. The condo was stocked with all kinds of extras. The welcome basket was a nice touch! The KCR is a nice complex, especially for families. As a gentle reminder to guests it would be great if a note was left in the condo on what days the groundskeepers are working. (Then we could plan our time to be out of the condo and away from the adult pool.. as it is kind of loud.) One item we missed having in the condo were beach chairs. Overall, our stay was great and would recommend this condo for a small party of 2-3. Thanks again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The unit was large and very well equipped. They have thought of everything to make you stay enjoyable. Comfortable bed and furniture as well as being a very secure property. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the condo for a week and had a great time here. Everything from the first communication to the check out was perfect. The condo itself is huge for a one bedroom condo - plenty of space, very well supplied, beautiful view from lanai, secure parking, a/c, grill etc. Short drive or 20 mins walk to the nearest beach or shopping center. Overall we are very satisfied with the stay and will definitely recommend the place! Thank you, Rita!!
