It ticked all the boxes for me and the things I value the most:
Fantastic location in an old secure historical building and very secure.
Very clean with spacious bathroom.
Everything including the train station reachable on foot.
Comfortable bed
Powerful hot shower
Powerful hairdryer (not attached to wall)
Good well lit mirror (great for doing makeup)
Pretty outdoor area
Host was wonderfully kind and lovely.
Brilliant value for money, will go back!
The bedroom was small but didn't matter o us as we only slept there.

Lovely quiet space with its own courtyard. The host was so helpful giving excellent food recommendations and also allowed us to keep our bag at the apartment on the day we were leaving. Clean and comfortable bed. Great location within the heart of Lucca.

Central location, kind owner, well equipped apartment
You cannot really use the outside space
As you are sitting next to HUGE air conditioning outlets if the house and neighbouring house. You sit in the hot air and it is very noisy
The apartment has window on 2m heights meaning you have daylight but cannot look outside
