Nestled in Purgatory, this lovely house for $267 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. The Sitzmark Townhome #8 Elevation 8,894 Feet 3 Bedroom/2.5 Bath Sleeps 10 1,611 Square Feet Master Bedroom - King Bed Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed Bedroom 3 - Two Full Beds Queen Sofa Sleeper Imagine waking up and walking onto your balcony with a gorgeous view of the San Juan Mountains. Just a short walk to the slopes and the many wonderful activities at Purgatory Resort, this two-story, spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home is one of the best values on the mountain. This lovely home has just undergone a complete remodel and is beautifully redecorated with new furnishings and bedding. Enjoy the convenience of being right on the mountain without having to get in your car to enjoy all of the wonderful activities at the resort. Enjoy the spectacular views from the living room or outside on our huge balcony with outdoor dining and gas grill. The living room also has a sofa sleeper for additional accommodations. The fully stocked, open kitchen has all you could need and there is a large dining table seating 8 plus bar seating for 4 at the counter. Upstairs is the master bedroom with king bed, in room TV, and a full en suite master bath with dual vanity and large standing shower. Downstairs features two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two full beds. All bedrooms have their own TVs. There is also an additional full bathroom downstairs with tub/shower combination. A washer and dryer and parking for two cars, one in a covered carport, and a 'mud room' to store all of your ski equipment, are just a few of the many conveniences offered in this comfortable vacation rental. This is the perfect spot for your family's mountain getaway this ski season. Very nice resort! Great food on site & plenty to do for fun. We loved the location between Durango & beautiful Silverton! The drive to Silverton is fabulous! Great place to stay!

Overall, it is very apparent the property management and owners are trying to get every penny out of this rental. The rental contract was acceptable, but after I signed the contract they sent me an email with "check-in/out instructions" with threats of more fees for things like leaving the property for the day and taking the key with you. Apparently, expecting privacy during your stay is not acceptable. Their welcome email tries to change the terms of their own contract by tacking on additional fees after the contract is signed. That would be like me sending an email with demands for refunds that were not called out in the contract. It's not legal or ethical. Also, here is a partial list of the maintenance issues at the property:
1. 2 tvs don’t work in bedrooms.
2. No fly screen on master bedroom window. Window can't be left open, so it's HOT w/out AC.
3. Master shower door doesn’t close completely. Glass hits glass. This is a shattered door and injury waiting to happen.
4. Balcony windows have no shades, so privacy is nil and the heat and glare of the morning sun is not enjoyable.
5. Master toilet clogs very easily, plunger provided and was needed repeatedly. Toilet seat is also loose.
6. Downstairs smells like cat.
7. They advertise that it sleeps 10, but there aren’t enough towels or toilet paper to handle large groups for more than a night.
8. Dishwasher doesn’t work.
9. Check out expectations are overboard, again not addressed in the contract.
10. Carpet is worn and dirty.
11. Bedroom photography is suspect... the rooms are quite small.

This was a great location if you are looking for peace and quiet in the mountains and a great location to Go into Durango and Silverton. Would stay here again. Take fans in the summer though if you are hot natured as there is no central AC and it does get warm in afternoon and I like to be nice and cool at night when I sleep. They do have a couple of ceiling fans and one box fan. By no means was it Hot but wish I’d have paid attention to what “mountain air conditioning” meant. Overall though a great place and would recommend this place.

Great Residence for Purgatory Vacation
The condo was an excellent place to stay for our Ski vacation at Purgatory. We had 2 families of 4 and fit fine in the living space provided. The property manager was fairly rude when answering some questions about check in on the day of arrival, but after we figured it out everything was fine. It’s a bit of a walk to the ski lift, but once we got a system down with our gear it was certainly do-able. Overall I would highly recommend the unit.

Great value
Nine of us for a week and this was perfect. Spectacular views, quiet, and easy to access. The resort at Purgatory has shopping and so much for kids of all ages to do, which turned into an unexpected day of fun. Well appointed condo with everything we needed. Parking a 12-passenger tall van was a bit of a challenge and there were a couple of minor glitches with mechanicals in the home but the property managers were very responsive and very pleasant. We definitely recommend and would happily stay again. Thanks for helping us make some great memories!

Best stay ever.
So thankful for mgmt. Arrived late, misplaced check in info but thankfully mgmt was a phone call away. She helped us get into our home away from home. Place was beautiful and I couldn't ask for anything more. I slept wonderfully as did everyone else. Location was superb!

This place has it all!
Comfortable and very clean. Extremely well furnished, from furniture, to appliances, to linens, etc. , has everything one would need for enjoying there stay at Purgatory. Great large balcony with a gas BBQ, and views of the mountains. Easy walk to main village. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would come back again. You will not be disappointed!!

Beautiful home!
We loved our stay at this unit. It is beautifully decorated and furnished and had everything we needed. Great location just a short walk to the main slopes area. The home was clean and the rental company was great to work with. We will definitely stay at this unit again.
