Located in Wisconsin, this lovely house for $196 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. We are located on a hidden bluff at the end of a dead end road in the driftless area of Southern Wisconsin near the popular tourist destination of New Glarus, America's Little Switzerland in Green County Wisconsin. The property is nestled in a stand of mature oak trees with rock cliffs, deer & turkeys grazing in the yard. It is a nature lovers dream! The 2600 square foot 3.5 bath log home sits on 40 acres. The home features four spacious bedrooms with plush beds, a large surround deck in the tree tops, high speed internet & access to private walking trails that wind through the woods complete with limestone cliffs and pollinator prairies. The interior of the home is lined with pine boards that give off a pleasant aroma and add to the character adding to the cabin feel but the home is well appointed and has all the features you will likely need. We are close to many communities like New Glarus, Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt Horeb where local festivals take place weekly throughout the spring, summer and fall. Take in a brewery tour or sample some fresh cheese at one of the many local cheese factories. Be sure to ask for fresh curds! There is easy access to Yellowstone Lake State Park and Wildlife Areas with a host of other possible recreational activities including hiking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, boating. There is even hunting, in season and recreational shooting at a well maintained no cost range at Yellowstone Lake Wildlife Area. **** VRBO rate software does not allow us to discriminate between children and adults as additional guests and will automatically generate an additional guest fee if the number of children are entered. My family and I had a great stay at the lodge. Steve was a gracious host and worked hard to clear all of the snow that had fallen the days and night before we arrived (over 18 inches). It was a great cozy place to hunker down for the weekend of sub-zero temperatures! The lodge is spacious with plenty of seating areas for times together while playing games. There is plenty of room to spread out to work puzzles, read books or watch movies. The kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation. The kids loved having the lower level to themselves. Unfortunately, due to the frigid temperatures we didn't get to explore the trails much, but we look forward to coming back again because the property is in such a beautiful setting.

Our family of 6 stayed for two nights between Christmas and New Year’s. Everything was perfect from check in to check out. The property is beautifully situated in a quiet and peaceful setting. The home is immaculate and was spacious enough for each of our four daughters to have their own room. We especially appreciated the large kitchen and eating area. The holiday decorations and Christmas tree made it feel just like home. We plan on coming back during warmer months so we can take advantage of the walking paths, wrap around porch, and fire pit.

Beautiful home. Our family gathered here, all coming from different directions. It worked perfectly for our gathering of 6 adults plus children. Our children enjoyed the outside area and playground set. The entire home impeccably clean. Lots of family game playing on the large dining table. Everything well stocked as described. We certainly hope to return.

Stayed with family of 6 and two dogs. The house is exceptionally comfortable and private, plenty of room for all of us to find space. The kitchen has everything you could need! I cooked a thanksgiving meal there, and had every pot, pan, appliance, and tool I needed. Great outdoor space, nicely maintained trails for walking. Beds are very cosy, bathrooms clean and unfussy. Steve was a generous and attentive host! Great place, would definitely give it my highest ranking.

I had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin in the countryside! Steve, the owner, was the ultimate host. He told us to reach out if we needed anything, and when we called him for some plastic wrap, he came right over with a smile. The property itself was stunning, with a fantastic walking trail. We were so captivated by the surroundings that we never even turned on the TV. Instead, we gathered around the gorgeous table that fit all of us and enjoyed delicious meals, laughter, and great memories. The cozy quilts in every bedroom were an extra special touch. It was truly an awesome experience!

Loved our stay at Hidden Bluff Lodge! We were able to bring our pups which made us very happy as they went on some fun walks around the property and hang out with us by the fire. The house is a wonderful log home that is both spacious and very cozy with space for a large family or several couples. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hidden Bluff Lodge to anyone

Steve and Marilyn have provided an amazingly relaxing and reasonably remote getaway with all of the creature comforts you would expect from this country hideaway. Be prepared to walk, hike, bike or run to your hearts content in this wonderfully hilly corner of SW Wisconsin. Small villages/towns are in the area, and larger cities are within a short drive too. We will be back to Hidden Bluff Lodge in the future!

We booked the property as a home base for a weekend riding the Cheese Country Trail. The house worked well for our stay, we took the dog out on the walking trails. Overall a very nice property.

This cabin is perfect for a family getaway. It’s beautiful, private and filled with fun stuff to do!
We traveled with our toddler and infant prepared to entertain them with stuff from home, however this place had everything we needed. The trials, wildlife deck and playset kept everyone busy outside. Inside, the loft is full of books, video games and other toys. Also, not one, but two pack and plays!
This will be our go to rental when we are in the area. Work is what brought us to the area this time around, this place is only 40 minutes from Verona and the commute is stunning.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The property was private and away from town, to where it was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The accommodations were perfect for our family! The property owners were amazing! Great communication, great recommendations around the area, and always there if you needed something. We have a few more places to see out in the area and we will definitely look at staying here again.

What a great place to stay! Our family trip included grandparents, two daughters and sons-in-law and two grandchildren ages 15 and 9. We had a great time walking the trails the property owner had prepared, cooking hot dogs and s’mores over the fire pit, and driving into Blanchardville and New Glarus to enjoy some meals out, play miniature golf and visit the New Glarus brewery. We would definitely stay here again.

After a hectic month of wedding planning and multiple events; the parents of the bride escaped with college friends of 45 years and a daughter and SIL and their 2 sons … we ranged from 4 months to 63 yo 💙
The lodge had sleeping arrangements and bathrooms enough for all to have their own space yet a kitchen big enough to share meals and play games !! The outdoors provided us with walking trails, wild life, and grilling with outdoor tables , chairs, and fire pit !!

This was the perfect place for 65+ siblings and spouses from WI, MN & IL to get together. The house was perfect for us. The amenities were great. The hiking trail was great. The serenity was awesome. And the calm and serenity of Blanchardville was also fantastic. And there is plenty to do within 20-30 minutes in all directions - wine, beer and cheese - and biking.

We couldn't havr been happier with our stay, if only we had longer time there! Steve, one of the owners, was so helpful at check-in and readily available if needed during our stay. This canin is tucked away in a little slice of country heaven yet close enough to town when we wanted to explore. We didn't bring kids with us but it would be equally perfect for them as well. The name of this cabin truly fits the location and our experience! Steve gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival and was quite accommodating, and the place had everything we needed. Our group of friends enjoyed playing many board games around the tables, going on a walk through the woods, relaxing outside, watching fireflies, and even gazing at the Milky Way on a clear evening. Our large group had ample space to gather together and to break off to find our own restful quiet time as individuals when we wished. It was a fun and relaxing getaway for all!

The cabin was a perfect size for our family of 8 adults and one infant.
We had a great time playing indoor/outdoor games, cooking supper as couples, taking walks/runs and cooking s’mores over the campfire.
Steve and Marilyn are wonderful hosts and always available to help out. Highly recommend this property for a family gathering like ours.

Our family gathered from around the country at Hidden Bluff Lodge to enjoy some time together. The Lodge was clean, well-stocked with all the basics, and had many nice amenities for families with young children such as booster seats, Pack n Plays, and a dedicated play area. Our family, young and old alike, enjoyed walking the property's trails and listening to the birds and wildlife. There are many unique small towns in the Driftless region that offer lots to explore and provide great day-trips if wanted. Communication with the host was excellent. Thanks for a great home away from home!

Stayed here for an intimate wedding ceremony. Steve was extremely helpful in providing a cost-effective connection for renting equipment (tents, chairs, etc) for day-time guests to spend time together. Plenty of space for 6 overnight guests; would have easily felt comfortable with the max amount of guests allowed. A fan was provided to help out with the heat in the screened-in porch area (this part isn’t AC, but everywhere else in the lodge is). Really beautiful land.

This cabin was very accommodating for our family of five. More than enough room. Very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of towels & linens and the kitchen was well equipped. The host lives nearby and was very easy to communicate with. There is a small market in Blanchardville that has the barest essentials, but plan on a 30 to 40 min drive to the nearest grocery store. The wifi is ok, but more than two computers will overwhelm it. But if that happens, you can entertain yourself with a walk on one of the nearby trails. We had several visitors roaming around the woods in the evening and morning hours (deer, raccoons, etc) that were fun to watch. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay and we would stay here again.

Wonderful stay! Couldn't have asked for a better location to kick back and relax, while still being close enough to partake in the local cheese shops. Also 45 minutes away from House On The Rock in Spring Green, which I highly recommend for a family day of fun. Steve was the perfect host and made sure we were familiar with the property upon arrival. Highly recommend staying here, this property will not disapoint.

We barely left the property during our stay because we had no reason to. The roomy, comfortable and well-kept house is nestled in an area of quiet woods, bluff, and prairie. The hosts are personable and considerate. We are planning a return, possibly in the fall.

My husband, brother, sister-in-law and I were just looking for a close get away from Chicago. The property was beautifully maintained, and had a carved out trail that was fun to do with the dogs. The back porch was perfect for bird watching, I had never seen so many different types of birds! The house had a lot of amenities including a fridge with filtered water and a dishwasher. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year!
