With views of the Pacific Ocean, you're steps away from the bucolic and serene Gearhart Dunes and beach. With plenty of bedrooms and a large, open floor plan, we can accommodate you and your guests. Each room has its charm with plenty of storage. Classic bead board and large, picture windows mark its sunny style. Enjoy the deck and yard - after a day at the beach, come back and barbeque while you enjoy the ocean breezes, or cozy up to the beautiful river rock wood-burning fireplace. Soak in the clawfoot tub, cook in the beautiful cooks kitchen with friends or relax in the den, make a puzzle, play cards or bring work (if you must!) as the house has WiFi, cable, so you can keep in touch in this completely updated and charming historic home on 'Martini Hill'. A five minute walk can take you to the noted Pacific Way Bakery, Sweet Shop and other shops. Even closer are the tennis & basketball courts and the historic Gearhart Golf Course and McMenamin's Sand Trap Restaurant. To get more action in, you're only a 5 minute drive from Seaside, 15 minutes to Cannon Beach to the south and just 15 minutes to historic Astoria to the north. This home is spacious and beautiful. Many windows and tastefully decorated. The location is perfect as it is right on the path to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. We had grandparents, parents, big & little kids and everyone had a great time. The house is well stocked with everything we could possibly need.
The shower is large and allows for a parent to easily clean the little kids! A perfect vacation spot!

Owners were great! The house was fantastic, very roomy, nice and extremely well maintained. Living room downstairs was spacious and they had lovely deck and yard. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful two-story home - four bedrooms & three baths. Very large kitchen and a wonderful great room with separate space for tv viewing; a dining room table that easily seats eight; and a separate seating area adjacent to the fireplace - a wonderful space for group conversation or completing a puzzle. Our second time here - grandparents plus family of five. Communication with owner was excellent. A short walk to McMenamins Restaurant. A short drive to Astoria, Seaside or Cannon Beach. Several golf courses nearby.

This house feels like home now, after 4 years visiting. Very close to the beach, and good for beach walks, as well as neighborhood walks. Very comfy gathering spaces, functional kitchen. Thanks for the new bunk beds! Nice backyard porch for outdoor meals, and good BBQ.

Our family found this house in Gearhart to be perfect for our week long vacation. It was spotless, was supplied with every single thing we needed (thanks for the beach towels, sand toys and chairs), and had tons of space, both inside and out. The back deck and private yard provided a quiet space to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Best of all was the easy access to Gearhart's incredible beach - so different from the crowds in the more touristy towns. The water was really cold, but the little ones didn't care and we spent hours down there. And to add to the fun, we watched a herd of elk munching on the beach grass as we walked down the path! Christine answered my questions immediately and was a joy to work with. I hope we can come back!

It is a beautifully kept up original classic cottage looking home. Great location, nice quiet area off the busy tourist Seaside area. Beautiful beaches. A short walking down a grassy path to the beach. The owner keep everything really clean, and we’ll stocked. Easy to get a hold of if you have any issues. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Gearheart is a great little town and the house is biking/walking distance to a few coffee shops and restaurants. The beach was a little farther walk than expected but also isn’t as crowded as some of the other nearby. It’s a quiet area which we appreciated but not far from some of the action of Seaside when we wanted it.

Our stay Monday to Friday, unfortunately the little bakery and the restaurant Gearhart were close, so we had to go to Seaside and Cannon beach to eat. We were extremely happy with the cleanliness and the spaciousness of the rooms. The living space was huge! The kitchen was very well equipped. The neighbourhood was very well kept and even had pickleball courts close by. We liked the panoramic beach views after the trek through the tall grass. Super convenient location to Cannon Beach and Seaside .

This home is located just a short walk from the beach which is great. It has 2 living areas and a nice large dining room which our family enjoyed. However, we felt the photos of the property were deceiving. The largest bedroom is in the photos twice, with different linens which made it appear as though there were two master/large bedrooms. Yes, I should have read the description more carefully but all of the adults in my family felt the same way-very surprised to find there was only one large bedroom/master. The house is quite old which is not a problem but it was not very clean at all. I scoured the kitchen sink when I arrived because it was gross. There was hair in the drain of the shower that had obviously not been cleaned. The kitchen garbage can was disgusting and the dishwasher stopped working completely during our stay. The beds in three out of four of the rooms were clearly the cheapest possible mattresses (the bottom bunk was comprised of two thin, worn out mattresses on top of each other). None of these things in and of themselves would be a deal breaker but all together they were really annoying. Especially for the price. We loved the beach and would definitely go back to Gearhart again but won't be renting this house again in the future.

We were VERY pleased at the level of cleanliness in this house! Also the open floor plan was perfect for our little children to run and play freely on the main floor. Nice open kitchen for preparing food and nice big dining table for sit down dinners family style! The bedrooms were nice size, walk in shower made it easy for my elderly mother to be bathed and the stairs were not too steep allowing her to manage them with help. House instructions were Lear and concise.
All in all we were satisfied with this rental!

We were 2 families who stayed at this property. It was nice, clean even though old. The yard, living room was great. Also short access to the beach. The master bedroom was nice, the other bedrooms small (though expected). We couldn't access garage but we didn't bother calling. Overall a nice getaway. Thanks!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were impressed by the communication and information provided. We loved the quietness of the neighborhood and that we could walk out to the beach in 5 minutes or less. Great space, lots of games to play, choose to Seaside and other coast towns.

This is a nice little spot, close to more popular destinations, but without any crowds. The beach feels semi-private, far enough away from Seaside to find solitude, but close enough to jog to. Add to that the nice home in a neighborhood with a distinct New England maritime feel, and you have a great spot to spend some quiet time away and relax.

Awesome home a block from the beach, 5 blocks from McMenamins and Gearhart Golf Links. 5 min walk to the beach! Found lots of sand dollars Saturday Night. Place is great and loved the fireplace especially when the power went out for a little bit! Definitely would stay here again

Great 1910 beach house in Gearhart. Well equipped, clean, great location. The reasons for 4 stars are not enough lighting in the dining room to eat or play games. Also, there was no place to put our food, except the frig. Every cupboard and drawer was full. Other than those two things it was a great house!

A fabulous long weekend in the beach house was exactly what the doctor ordered. Cozy and comfy and close to the beach. The soothing sound of the sea made the stay extra special. We spent hours at the dining table playing cards and telling stories! The house had everything we needed to make great meals and carrot cake cookies! Can’t wait to go back!

We had a really nice relaxing week in Gearhart. Our nights sleeping with the sound of the waves in the distance and the cool summer breeze. The wonderful old house style doorknobs that reminded me of my childhood and the fact that there was room for everyone- the bedrooms, the living space, the beach and the yard. The little town beckoned on the odd time we wanted to "do something else.... the little shops and the bowling alley/pizza restaurant were spectacular! Thank you, thank you so much for offering your beautiful house close to the beach, so we didn't have to even think about going to Seaside's hustle and bustle.... We absolutely loved our stay and we will return again some day if at all possible!
