About this cottage rental
Nestled in Harbor Springs, this charming cottage for $507 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Timeless style combines classic cottage appeal in this lovely and spaciously expanded 'carriage house'. The high-pitched ceilings and cathedral windows add a special charm to the lofty feel of the 2nd floor living area, and with 2 balconies, it seems as though you are "amongst the trees"! The open floor plan, comfortable down-filled seating, electric fireplace, separate level bedrooms/baths and well stocked modern kitchen with stylish coffee bar are all you need to enjoy the beauty of Harbor Springs and the surrounding area. The heated single car garage means you won't be scraping ice or waiting for your vehicle to warm up in winter months...during the warmer seasons you'll find the garage essential as parking is very limited in town. Originally built as a garage studio in 2008 over an original carriage house footprint associated with a church that once stood next door, two bedrooms and a master bath were added during the fall of 2018. Adjacent to the upper floor living space and kitchen is a large suite w/queen bed, wall mounted smart TV, wood flooring and dramatic ceiling. French doors under the magnificent cathedral window open to a comfortable deck overlooking the courtyard. The ensuite bath, with heated marble flooring and oversize marble shower, is well stocked with luxurious towels plus a blow dryer, straightener, magnifying mirror and complimentary toiletries. The ground floor queen bedroom, with heated tile flooring and room darkening drapes, features sliding patio doors where you can watch deer, squirrels, chipmunks and a variety of birds on the bluff as you sit under the covered patio next to the water feature. This room utilizes the ground floor bathroom which is also well supplied with over-sized towels, magnifying mirror, blow dryer and complimentary toiletries. Nestled between high vegetation fencing in front and the bluff in back is a private, secluded courtyard with bubbling water feature perfect for enjoying morning coffee, afternoon sunning and evening beverages! The propane fire table provides added warmth and ambiance while beckoning all to pull up one of four rocking chairs with accompanying blankets. We provide 2 men's and 2 ladies' bicycles w/baskets for exploring town or pedaling Little Traverse Wheel Way Bike Path. WiFi and an assortment of games and books is available for times when staying in is just as much fun as going out. Oh, and be sure to challenge your partner(s) to a high energy game of vintage PINBALL! This charming carriage house is literally one block off main...easy walking and biking distance to the newly remodeled theater, cafes, shopping and marina. The local Farmers Market is held twice weekly downtown during summer and fall and there are TWO winter ski resorts just 5 minutes away. A wonderful place for honeymooning or romantic anniversary, couple’s getaway or special celebration, girls’ weekend or family gathering...no doubt you will find this a simply relaxing, and perfectly delightful, retreat! Traveled to Harbor for some skiing - chose to stay downtown for access to food and entertainment. The house is beautiful, provides tons of space, well furnished and easy walking distance to the commercial district. Had a blast with the pinball machine and LOVED having a large, heated garage for ski equipment. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely beautiful. Walk through the stone entry, and Dutch door into a stunning back yard. The grass and flowers welcomed us along with a pond with a fountain.
The “treehouse” is every thing you could ask for in comfort and well appointed. Windows are everywhere.
One block to town for breckfast, lunch and dinner. I slept like a baby 😴

Great house located in the middle of Harbor Springs 1 block off the main street. Love the backyard set up with the gentle fountain and the rocking chairs set up around a fire pit .
House all the amenities we were looking for and was very tastefully decorated.

The location of the property was ideal. My niece has been vacationing in the general area since childhood. I love Turkeys Restaurant. Everyone we meet was helpful and friendly. Mass on Saturday evening at the beautiful Catholic Church was so meaningful to both of us. I personally helped boost the economy of the town. I love Tom’s Moms Cookies. We went to the Lyric. What a gem. Jennie will return in the spring. I’m usually traveling in Europe but I know I’ll return to Harbor Srings. It’s a special place.

We love staying at this property. It is perfect for a long ski weekend. This was our second time staying here. It would be great in the summer. The outdoor space is incredible too. The only improvement that could be made is the electrical outlets in the master bedroom. There are not enough. A second power strip wound be helpful. Overall we give it 5 stars and plan to return next year.

This was our third stay. Even tho the weather did not cooperate, this carriage house did. We spent all of our time indoors or taking car tours of the area, no biking or walking. However this made it even more important to have a cozy inside environment. It never disappoints.

You will love staying in this beautifully remodeled carriage house! The decor is charming and sophisticated; furnishings are beautiful and so comfortable for a relaxing getaway. The home is very thoughtfully stocked - from the coffee bar to toiletries to luxurious towels and bedding! You will be surrounded by beautiful gardens and the soft sound of wind chimes were magical! It is right on the edge of the quaint downtown area. We walked for coffee in the morning and to other restaurants in the evening. So well-situated! We will be back!

325 is a unique 'hideaway'. Backyard was very peaceful and beautiful. Ability to walk everywhere was wonderful. Prompt attention to toilet problem appreciated. Got good exercise using stairs as I slept downstairs!! haha

This is a lovely home with the main floor up high in the trees, a lovely garden with a fountain, located one block from Main street in Harbor Springs. The master bath is like a 5 star hotel and the owner has thought of everything you need and more.

Three adults stayed here for 4 nights. The location was perfect. We were very close to downtown Harbor to get to restaurants and shopping. It was just a couple minutes walk down to the water and marina. The parking situation was fantastic! We also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space. The firepit with the water fountain flowing made for a truly relaxing space. The kitchen was well appointed for making some meals at home. Communication with the host was quick and easy. They also kept us informed with some fun activities and events happening locally. We could not have been happier with our stay at the cottage!

Enchanted Get-away!
The Carriage House is beautifully maintained and very clean. We especially enjoyed the cozy and inviting interior and exceptional garden area. We found it serene and perfect for enjoying a night-time campfire and daytime nap and book. The space is very cozy and inviting. It's proximity to
downtown Harbor Springs was so convenient. Just a block away to great food and shopping. Wonderful stay. Cannot wait to visit again!

Cozy and clean house which was a block from downtown and super close to Petoskey and lots of fun winter activities at Boyne and Nubs Nob. The property owner was super friendly and helpful, and our girls loved the pinball machine! Highly recommend this house!

It was perfect for my husband and I and our two girls, and it really felt like a “vacation” staying here. The decor is beautiful and comfortable, but the biggest thing for me is that it was so clean (not because of Covid, but general cleanliness).
It was great to be able to walk downtown to dinner and the shops, and was a short drive to both Nubs Nob and Boyne highlands.
We would definitely rent again!

It was perfect for my husband and I and our two girls, and it really felt like a “vacation” staying here. The decor is beautiful and comfortable, but the biggest thing for me is that it was so clean (not because of Covid, but general cleanliness).
It was great to be able to walk downtown to dinner and the shops, and was a short drive to both Nubs Nob and Boyne highlands.

Since we were there in the winter we were unable to experience the garden space, but I can certainly see it as a very special place in the summer. Would highly recommend.
