About this house rental
Nestled in Corolla, this lovely house for $800 per night is a great option for your next vacation. New living room furniture in 2019! 8 Bedrooms (4K/Bath ,2Q, P, 2B) 6.5 total Baths. New Carpet in bedrooms in 2018. One 50" TV upstairs with a Blue Ray DVD Player, one 42' TV downstairs and another 42' TV in the main King Master Suite, 32' Flat screen TV's in each of the King Master bedrooms. There is also TV in each and every room. Four master bedrooms, a game room with pool table, Playstation, wireless internet, computer, pool (with heater) and hot tub are but a few of the amenities provided for your enjoyment. Our home is on the 'Ocean side' of Route 12, and is only a short walk to the beach access. Sheets and bath towels provided. Our home is child friendly, and all furniture is strapped to the wall for your child's protection. Pack and Play (2), high chair, stroller, baby gate, and other necessities for children provided for your convenience. The lower level has a game room with new pool table and electronics, a queen bedroom, a bedroom with two bunk beds, a full bath and a full size washer and dryer. The middle level features three king bedrooms with private a bath, a queen bedroom, a pyramid bedroom and a full bath. The upper level has a large open living area and a half bath. There is a fully equipped kitchen with 2 dishwashers and a bar refrigerator under the island. The dining table seats ten and there is room for five at the bar. We had a fabulous week, the house was perfect for our family reunion with 19 people! At no point did we feel crowded in the house with all the decks large rooms and pool area. The short walk to the beach and shops was prefect for our group. Also, Carrie was very quick to respond with any questions I had along the way. I will definitely look to book with them again.

House had everything you could want. Only negative not very clean, vents, ceiling fans extremly dirty. Kitchen counter, stove and table sticky and dirty.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The place was as described and had lots of space (and fridges which was a plus). Close to the beach. We enjoyed the nice pool and hot tub after our time at the beach. This home was tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Lots of new memories were made here. Can’t wait to get back to OBX.

Perfect house for our family of 17. Walk to beach is a little long but doable. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The added lift to get food and luggage to 2nd and 3rd floors was a lifesaver.

The house was exactly as described, clean and felt like home. Absolutely beautiful. Short walk to the beach and close enough to town that we could walk. When we got there the lift to the second and third floors broke and the homeowner expedited the process to get it fixed for us asap. Highly recommend staying in this home and with Carrie. 10/10.

We definitely enjoyed this house. We had multiple families with ages from infant to 60ish. The walk to the beach was easy, the pool and hot tub were great and the house was clean and in good shape. Contact with the owner was good. I messaged her a few times with questions and got prompt replies. It was a really good experience.

The weather didn’t cooperate with our outside plans but it was great to catch up with cousins.
A couple of house issues needed attention and they are being addressed. The owners responded quickly to us.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and we would rent this house again.

We rented this house for a week. Good location. Loved the privacy of the lot. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty big for our group of 11. We enjoyed the open layout upstairs for our nightly family dinners. Would recommend staying here.

Home has great amenities. Lots of bathrooms. Pool and hot tub were clean and great. But home was filthy. The kitchen and living room floor are on third floor. This floor was not mopped in a long time. My 2 year old grandson walked on floor with barefoot when we got there. Looked at his feet a short time later and his feet were black. Bathroom floors and mats were not cleaned either. Overall we had a great time but everyone was not happy with cleanliness.

We had an amazing time! The house provided enough room for our group of 14 (7 adults, 7 children) to enjoy some well needed time together. The beautiful beach was a perfect distance to get the kids easily back and forth throughout the day and the pool provided nice relief when they were tired of the sand and waves. The house is also within walking distance from shopping / groceries / games. The house was clean, comfortable and, more importantly, safe for kids! Highly recommend booking time at Funk N Treasure!

Just returned home from an amazing week long vacation with my very large family in OBX! We had a group of 13 adults and 2 little kids. We absolutely loved the house - the pool & hot tub were a big hit, the game room was a great place to hang out after the kids were put to bed and the walk to the beach was much quicker/easier than I expected! Carrie was always quick to respond whenever we messaged her (leading up to and during our trip) and she & her husband went above and beyond to help us when we had an unexpected issue with the fridge (things happen). We'd love to come back and stay again!

My family had a wonderful experience at the Funk n Treasure house. It is a beautiful and one of the cleanest houses we’ve ever stayed in. There were 11 adults and 5 children aged 15 months to 7 years old. This house was perfect as each couple had their own bedroom and bath. The pool was large enough to accommodate all of us and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. With little ones it was nice to know that all the furniture was strapped down. Carri Funk is quick to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. The only drawback to my family is that it is a walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who has a big family. We all enjoyed the space there.

Our family of 17 used this lovely home for our bi- annual family reunion. We traveled from California, Washington, and Virginia to experience the lovely Outer Banks, and were not disappointed! This home was more than large enough to accommodate all of us, with bedrooms and bathrooms to spare! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare huge meals, and space enough to gather for them. We loved hanging by the pool, watching movies in both living spaces, and the short distance to the beach and shops. Such a great home! We highly recommend it for ANY large groups!

The only complaint I have is that our stay went by so fast. My family and I visits OBX once every year. We have to say that this was the most relaxing stay by far. The home was clean, beautiful, welcoming and Carri was in touch with us as needed throughout the stay. We love it and would love to rent again.

The Funk n Treasure house had lots of room for all ages to enjoy the property. The 7 bathrooms made life a lot easier. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils/dishware/cookware. Distance to grocery and shopping was 3 minutes in each direction. Would rent again.

The house was clean and inviting. There were no starter rolls of toilet paper or soap of any kind when we arrived— which was really inconvenient with kids from a long ride. We left tons of both, so hopefully the next guests were provided for and we also replaced the gas for the grill and clean it pretty thoroughly. I’m sure The cleaning team is very busy, but a quick check on these little items goes a long way. The hosts were friendly and responsive and we had a lovely time at their home— the child safety items were greatly appreciated since we had a toddler running around. There is construction right next door, but when we turned on the pool speakers—- it wasn’t a distraction. Overall, the nicest rental We have stayed in.

My family and I (12 people total) stayed for a week and we enjoyed ourselves. The house is spacious, well-equipped, clean, and in a nice quiet location close to the beach. Carrie (host) was very responsive and addressed all questions promptly. I highly recommend this unit and would certainly stay again!

Excellent experience with the property and hosts! We were grateful for information provided prior to our stay that helped us adequately plan for our large family group. Child safety features were much appreciated! Comfortable rooms, spacious kitchen and dining areas, and plenty of place to gather inside and out. The pool was the perfect size and used daily. The 10-minute walk to the beach access was fine for most in our group.

Overall, a good experience. We have stayed at several Corolla properties and this one is well suited (cul de sac location, heated pool, well stocked kitchen, etc). Owner response is timely and corrects any issue. While the listing does state linens are provided, the guest is responsible to put them on. A nice property though and can accommodate many families needs.

VRBO online reservation worked smoothly. The property was accurately presented. We had 12 adults and 3 children. The bedrooms were comfortable. The pool was a big plus because we could just go outside anytime and enjoy the privacy.

The house was perfect for our family vacation! The kitchen, family room and dining room area was so spacious! We could spread out but still be together! And Carri Funk was amazing to deal with! She responding to any questions or concerns right away! We had a minor issue during the week and Carri didn't hesitate to help us out even though she was on her own family vacation. We will definitely be staying at Funk-n-Treasure next time we go to Corolla!

Property was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Multiple access points made it easy to enter and exit the house. Multiple areas outside to sit and relax. Plenty of space for all 18 of us. The alarm on the slider was a nice touch because we had several kids staying with us. Also, the gates, high chair, pack n play were much appreciated. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub every night.

There were a total of 15 of us, and we had a great time. Nice pool, close to the beach. House was superb. Tropical Storm Elsa kept us inside for one day, but lots of space, and we brought lots of games, so enjoyed each others company. Well worth the cost. Carri was quick to respond to any question we had before our arrival, and had not issues during our stay.

House was perfect for my family's week vacation, together once again after 1 1/2 years of being apart. Plenty of room for 15 of all ages. I think the favorite spot was the pool and hot tub. House was neat and clean, kitchen had plenty of space and utensils for preparing meals. I would highly recommend staying here. Host was prompt in answering any questions.

Corolla was our destination to celebrate my sons 30th birthday. From the minute we drove into the driveway it felt like home. One by one as we all met everyone had the same reaction. The home was so clean and well stocked for and cooking needs. It was a big enough house that everyone had their privacy yet HOME enough for us all to be together. Beautiful house. Things I loved all the sheets were clean , the bedrooms were in good condition and clean . The family room with the pool table kept our young adults busy for the week of rain. The kitchen , dining room and living room were also very clean. I loved that they care enough to make sure there were pack and plays along with gates and secure furniture. If my kids were small I'd have chosen it for the safety features. The 2 dish washer I thought a bit much at 1st but learned quickly it was one of the features they could have for a renter. Any time Ji had a question or voncern it was answered quickly and respectfully. I give this house and it's owners a 10. Thank you so much for everything!

Our family vacation of 10 had an amazing time! This house was so perfectly set up for people with families. Bunk rooms, having multiple rooms with king size beds and bathrooms attached, makes it the perfect place to stay. The master on the top level was so great for grandparents and we loved the fact that there were two dishwashers! When you travel with a large party, you’re constantly eating. The pool provides a lot of privacy and was bigger than most around us. The house is not a bad walk to the beach. It isn’t extreme close to the beach, but easily walkable (would make sure to bring a wagon). We would absolutely stay here again. It was so easy to work with the owner and she answered all of our questions. Would make sure to know that if traveling in and out on a Saturday to give yourself an extra two hours for driving due to extreme traffic getting off the island. We loved this vacation so much!

This property is excellently located and spacious for a large group vacation. The open plan living space was comfortable, bright and accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of kitchen ware and two dishwashers! The bedrooms are comfortable and the basement is a great space for the children to gather. The heated pool was well used even in 60 degree weather. We would definitely return.

We were looking for an eight bedroom home, for extended family to share thanksgiving. Covid had other plans- and the number who could attend by three days before we left, was us and our dog! We only used a small portion of the space- but enjoyed a relaxing 2 weeks. If you have a large group, this is a very nice place. Kitchen very well equipped. We never used the (heated) pool or hot tub, but both looked inviting. Rocky enjoyed twice daily walks on the beach, as did I.
