Nestled in Bethany Beach, this attractive house for $482 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. We welcome our 'extended family' to The Gosling! 2023 celebrates our 18th year of offering 'The Gosling' as a rental property. 'The Gosling' is located in Sussex Shores which is the first private community north of Fifth Street and the Town of Bethany Beach. It is within walking or biking distance to town, shopping, and restaurants (less than half mile from town center). Sussex Shores is a quiet, family-oriented community with a private beach, private roads, and off-street parking. Access to the community and beach is controlled by private security. Because it is a private beach, it is never crowded and has a staff of full-time lifeguards from mid-June through Labor Day weekend. Once you stay in Sussex Shores, you will forever be spoiled and will never want to return to a crowded public beach!! The house is located 75 yards from the dunes and is a one-story (Deceptively large once inside) - no hassling with staircases! The Master Bedroom has a queen bed. Bedroom #2 has two sets of built-in twin bunk beds. Bedroom #3 has two twin beds. Bedroom #4 has two twin beds. All bedrooms are located on the back side of the house, separated from the living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry area by a hallway. The sunroom opens off the kitchen, dining area and screened porch. There is an excellent outdoor shower with changing area - you'll never want to shower indoors again! In addition to the listed amenities, our beach house features a living room and dining area, a sunroom, and screened porch complete with outdoor stereo speakers. A detached shed is provided for storage of your beach gear - bikes, chairs, umbrellas, rafts, boogie boards, surf boards, fishing rods, etc. Beach chairs and a beach umbrella are provided. Porch / Sunroom Awnings - Providing additional privacy and afternoon shade. Hardwood Floors throughout the house. Granite kitchen & bathroom counter tops. Weekly Rentals are Friday to Friday, thus avoiding weekend traffic snarls! Maid service (at the conclusion of your visit) is included in the rental fee, as well as the Sussex Shores Beach Association Rental Assessment. A great week at the beach! The Gosling was very clean and the location can’t be beat. The Sussex Shores beach is the best because it isn’t crowded. Art was easy to work with. Hope to return next summer!

The home was beautiful yet very comfortable for us and my daughter’s family. Very short walk to a private beach. Everything we needed was provided from beach items to cleaning and disinfecting products. Perfect community as welll. Many thanks to the owners. We hope to return next year!!

Our family had a great time staying at the Gosling. Art was a kind and helpful host, and the home was extremely well equipped. As we were traveling with two little ones, that was much appreciated. There was an abundance of beach supplies, which made our packing much, much easier. The neighborhood of Sussex Shores in north Bethany Beach was perfect. This private beach wasn't crowded, and was close enough to walk into the quaint Bethany downtown area. Further, the home is well maintained and spacious, and our family had a wonderful time. We'd highly recommend this property and we hope to have an opportunity to stay at the Gosling in the future!

Wow, what a charming beach cottage!! It’s filled with natural light, meticulously maintained, feels like ‘home’, fully equipped with beach gear, cooking supplies, everything we needed to make our week absolutely perfect. The location is amazing as well… 3 minute walk to the beach and less than 15 minutes to town. We can’t wait to return!!

My husband and I rented this lovely home along with our adult daughters and their boyfriends. The home was very comfortable and had all of the conveniences for a great vacation. We spent many mornings on the sun porch having our coffee and many happy hour evenings on the outdoor picnic table! The kitchen was very well stocked. Cooking dinner was a breeze! The beach toys, chairs, umbrella, and cart were an added plus too! Also, the beach is a convenient walk up the street, no roads to cross, and it is private! No crowds and no worries to finding that perfect location next to the water! The owner is very responsive and keeps this home immaculate! This was the perfect rental!

The Gosling is a wonderful well appointed property with everything you need to enjoy a great vacation. The property is ideally located with an easy walk to a private beach and a nice stroll to town. The owner obviously cares about his guests and making sure they enjoy their time at the Gosling. It is impeccably maintained and has all the comforts of home away from home. We stayed here with my elderly parents and children under 5 years old. Having everything on one level w minimal steps was amazing! The location made it easy to walk to the beach and come back to the house if anyone needed a nap or forgot something. The neighborhood is quiet and great for walks. It’s an easy walk to restaurants and shops as well. Definitely highly recommend!

This is our 2nd year staying at The Gosling. We have been coming to Bethany Beach for over 20 years and staying in the Sussex Shores neighborhood for most of the time. The Gosling has been one of our favorite stays. The private beach is fantastic and being within walking distance to the town center is great. The cottage is perfect for our 3 generation family vacation. It has everything our family needs for our stay at the beach. The cottage is comfortably decorated and the kitchen is well appointed for cooking family meals. Owner, Art has made sure that you have everything you need for a wonderful beach vacation. Looking forward to next year!

The 'Gosling' in Sussex Shores at Bethany Beach is a perfectly lovely vacation destination if you are looking for charm, beauty, peace and relaxation. The rental has all of this and more. It is surprisingly spacious with separate living areas that allow for a variety of activities. It is decorated with impeccable taste while remaining simple, uncluttered, and functional. It is maintained with great care and is always clean as a whistle when we arrive. The location is convenient for walking to the private beach or into town. All of your each needs are supplied such as chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. The outside shower is wonderful for both washing off sand and rinsing away the cares of the day. I highly recommend this delightful cottage for a restful and restorative vacation experience.

This was our fifth consecutive year spending a week at the Gosling. We love the casual cottage feel of this house. It's comfortable, clean, and has all the amenities we need for a laid back family stay at the beach. For us, the location of this house is key. It's within walking distance of Bethany but is located in a private neighborhood with little street traffic and a private beach. Our kids (ok, the adults too) have been spoiled by the private beach access. No crowds, attentive lifeguards and a beautiful stretch of clean, white sand. We absolutely recommend this property....just don't steal our week! ;-)

HOUSE IS A DREAM, PRIVATE NEIGHBORHOOD. TRULY PRIVATE UNCROWDED BEACH IS VERY CLOSE TO HOME NO STAIRS, DUNES OR BUSY STREETS TO CROSS, OLDER GUEST LOVED IT BECAUSE HE COULD GO FROM BEACH TO HOUSE ALL DAY WITHOUT EFFORT. OUR FAMILY LOVED THE HOUSE, IT IS BRIGHT & CLEAN. MULTI-COOKS WILL ENJOY THE VERY OPEN AND ROOMY KITCHEN. AND THE LARGE PRIVATE OUTDOOR SHOWER WORKED FOR US JUST LIKE A THIRD BATH (YOU WILL ENJOY IT TOO!). OWNER (ART) IS GREAT TO WORK WITH. HAVE FUN AND ENJOY! THANKS, JOE
