About this cottage rental
This beautiful little cottage is perched on the edge of the Nehalem River just minutes from the ocean. When it's stormy at the coast this location is protected. The expansive deck and windows provide an excellent view of the river and a variety of wildlife including elk, bald eagles, heron, sea lions and of course fishermen. We recently enclosed the front porch providing an additional seating area overlooking the river.
The unit is located in a quiet clean RV park (Nehalem Shores), the pace is slow and the locals are friendly. Enjoy fantastic fishing or kayaking on the river, shopping nearby antique shops, wine tasting or kite flying...beach combing...horse back riding...surfing...Manzanita Beach.
You'll love the comfortable cozy feel of this cottage rain or shine. Laundry services and high speed wi-fi are available. The cottage is just a short drive from Portland but well away from the busy tourist hubbub. A fantastic weekend or vacation getaway spot.

This was a nice break from staying in a hotel next to the beach. We loved the deck and quietness in the Rv park. We also seen a lot of wildlife, and we will definitely stay there again.

The kitchen was fully equipped and there was a barbeque if you wanted cook outside. We do not have pets. The setting and large back deck was beyond our expectations and so private. The river, the birds, the ducks and the setting were perfect. It felt very private even though there were other people there! The set up was perfect. The host was very helpful and friendly! We will go back!!!

The TV did not work, the gas grill was covered in cobwebs and would not light. The queen bed was great, however the hide a bed very uncomfortable. The river location is awesome. The owners could change some furniture and cozy it up for a more enjoyable stay.
