About this house rental
Situated in Lake Dunmore, this attractive house for $421 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This home is located directly on the water, on the east shore of Lake Dunmore, tucked into a sheltered, half-moon bay. It is a modern, energy efficient, four season home, decorated and furnished by an artist. Located in the heart of Vermont's Champlain Valley, we are close to both Middlebury and Brandon. Lake Champlain is 30 minutes away, and The Green Mountains behind us boast world class skiing at Killington, Pico Mountain, and Sugarbush ski Resorts. Excellent golf, antiquing, gallery hopping and dining are minutes away from this serene spot. Out front, a large, flat lawn, complete with a rope hammock, a campfire pit, is perfect for for recreation and sunning. The sandy beach is ideal for small children. We're well off the paved road, at the end of a dirt driveway, so the only sounds you'll hear are the loons. Everything needed for relaxing is provided. There is one bedroom with a CA King bed, a second room with two twin bunks, and a third with a double bed. Outside there is a large stone patio with loungers, a cocktail table and umbrella, a picnic table, lawn chairs, and a Weber gas grill.

Situated right on the lake which provided stunning views once the fog lifted. The house is warm, cozy and fully equipped. Due to the weather the streaming TV was appreciated and put to good use. The beds were oh so comfy and made for a good nights sleep. Our host, Ashley, was very attentive and we needed for nothing. Rufus has a forever friend in Daisy who loved visiting him, saying hi, then coming home and curling by the very warm fire. Our hike to Silver Lake was impressive, especially being so close, the water falls were spectacular and the climb was gentle. Overall a lovely get away for us all. Thank you.

Excellent property in a great location with beautful view of lake. Very comfortable with every amenity. Greatly enjoyed the art displayed. Convenient to both Brandon and Middlebury with endless nearby hiking opportunities. Lovely owner who is very responsive.

We had a lovely 2 week stay at the lake! This was our first trip to Vermont, and Lake Dunmore was a great home base for relaxation and some day trips to other parts of Vermont.
The house was quiet and homey - not one of those rentals where clearly no one has ever lived. It had everything we needed. There’s a deli and small grocery 8 minutes away, and 12-20 minutes away are Brandon and Middlebury with restaurants, breweries and stores.
We enjoyed making s’mores, the row boat, the sandy beach entry to the lake, and yard games with our three year old. Bring some bug spray as the mosquitos were extra fierce due to the recent rains!

Had a wonderful stay at Lake Dunmore in this beautiful property in spite of the rainy weather. Easy access into water for swimming and kayaking/canoeing. Very nice furnishing and everything you need to make your stay nice. It's a perfect size for a couple, but the other bedrooms are a little small for other adults to stay - children would be fine. Lovely view out all the windows facing the lake. Great spot!

Beautiful home, great location on a gorgeous lake. Home is filled with unique art. Super clean, house has a great location so you walk out right to lake. Kayaks provided for extra fun. Ashley communicated great, and we look forward to returning in the future.

What a wonderful, quiet place to enjoy our daughter's Middlebury College Commencement! We were so busy that we never had the opportunity to enjoy the lake, but it was exactly what we needed to relax from all the activity. Ashley (and Rufus!) thought of everything! So happy we were able to experience this slice of heaven.

This house is a gem! The house itself is a work of art. Huge windows with an AMAZING lake view, a big yard, very comfortable beds, perfect layout, we absolutely loved it. Our dog was so happy with the yard and window viewing. Very close trails nearby for hiking, and a short drive to Middlebury and Brandon both of which have great shops and restaurants. We had a fire outside each night and our pup took a dip in the lake! Wish we had more time here and we really hope to be back. You will not regret booking this place!

We loved this beautiful lake house for a post-wedding “mini-moon”. Our dogs were able to stay with us which was amazing and they loved being able to swim in the lake. It was a perfect peaceful getaway.

This property does not disappoint!! It is just as beautiful as pictured and described and everything that you might need is provided. The weather was unfortunately not on our side this trip, but the views from inside were amazing and we still had a fun and relaxing trip. The home is beautifully decorated and full of fun and interesting works of art. Take a drive in any direction and the Vermont countryside surrounds you in all of its glory.

Ashley provides everything you need to prepare meals. Lovely artwork and outside landscaping makes her house a gorgeous place to completely relax and unwind. On the 4th we were treated to a spectacular fireworks display on the lake. Highly recommend!

The location on Lake Dunmore is fantastic and despite a really cold weekend, we enjoyed walking on the frozen lake as well as ice fishing.

Really charming place to be quarantined
What a charming artist's cottage with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. We had to quarantine and the weather wasn't great but we still enjoyed our time. Bird watching right outside the picture window was a highlight as well as exploring all of the fascinating art that is all over. Though perhaps a little small for 2 people that like their own space, this wouldn't have been an issue if the weather was nicer and we were able to hike as much as we intended. Alot of great hiking nearby and even walking the lane of this lakefront neighborhood was very enjoyable.

Absolutely Wonderful!
Our family loved staying at Ashley's place. Lake Dunmore is gorgeous and we enjoyed the sandy beach entry into the lake. That made it very easy for our arthritic senior Labrador Retriever to do her swimming! The views of the lake from her comfortable home are magnificent! Hiking in the area is awesome. Ashley is a warm and friendly hostess and we would love to return!

Lovely Home getaway
From the pictures to moment we got there the place was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, classy but yet felt 100% lake home with lots of art work through out. Our Shetland loved he could run right into the water and go swimming which he loves. Waking up every morning and seeing the lake out of the huge windows never gets old. I could not say enough great things about this property and we are very much looking forward to our stay again in the coming year! Thank you!
