Keswick is the perfect holiday destination for families, couples, the fit and the ‘not so fit’! Situated on the shores of Derwentwater, the fells are accessible from the doorstep and the town centre has excellent amenities. Other outdoor activities available locally include mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, kayaking and sailing on the lakes, rock climbing and ghyll scrambling to name but a few. The ‘not so fit’ may prefer gentle strolls around the town’s parks and shops, partaking in the café culture on Keswick’s pedestrianised market place or a trip on the launch around Derwentwater. Across the road in Fitz Park is an excellent children’s play park, the Keswick Museum with café, a bowling green and the Keswick Leisure Pool is adjacent. Shop 30 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards. The cottage is located on the edge of the town centre; only a very short walk to the cafes, restaurants and shops of Keswick. (2 minutes at most). We didn't use the car much, but having a parking space behind the house was very helpful. In the past we've always parked in the long stay car park, which isn't a real issue, but this made things a little easier. We all really enjoyed staying in Beny Cot and it felt like home very quickly. Four of us stayed; two adults and two children (13 &11) and there was plenty of space in the house. Wifi was good. My only slight negative was that the living room didn't have enough sofa seats for everyone. The kitchen and dining room had plenty of space and the table sat everyone. Would I stay again - yes. A really good cottage, with plenty of room, and everything you'd need. Central Keswick so we could walk out to the fells. Lovely west facing patio so we sat out in the evening sun. :) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a much needed break in this cottage. The pictures don't do the property justice. Plenty of room for a family of 5 ( with three teenagers!) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage in a brilliant location.
Lovely cottage in a brilliant location.
Lovely cottage in a brilliant location. Well equipped kitchen. Attic room great for teenagers. Small Courtyard garden to relax in after a busy day. Very handy utility room and downstairs toilet. Would definitely stay here again. Only improvement would be to put black out blinds/curtains in the two front bedrooms as it's very bright in the morning. A fantastic place right in the heart of Keswick, very short walk to the centre and also to local amenities such as Fitz Park and the leisure pool. The cottage itself was warm and cosy, perfect for families with the added bonus of a washer and dryer in the utility room at the back of the house. It was a joy to come back to every evening, get the wood fire going and relax! If I had one small moan it’s that it needs a bigger fridge but as said, it’s a very small moan! The place is a credit to the owners - thank you!
