About this house rental
Nestled in Los Olivos, this charming house for $335 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Just two hours north of Los Angeles, 30 mins. from Santa Barbara, located in the township of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez Valley, you will find the perfect place to RELAX, REFLECT and RECHARGE. The house is tucked away on a small hill surrounded by mature eucalyptus, pine and pepper trees, just two blocks from the center of town where you can stroll to the Corner Cafe for a morning latte. Walk to several (51 at last count) first class wine tasting rooms, lunch at the Los Olivos Cafe, a location seen in the film, 'Sideways'. Leisurely explore art galleries and antique stores. Take a drive through the Santa Ynez Valley and discover over 117 wineries offering some of the finest wines produced in California. In the evening, you will find first class dining choices at Nella at the Fess Parker Inn, Bar Le Cote and Los Olivos Cafe to be among the finest in the valley. There is a guest notebook with menus from restaurants close by (5 mi) ranging from Michelin Star dining at First & Oak to classy sandwiches from Paninos. This remodeled three bedroom, two bath home can comfortably accommodate 4-6 adults. New king and queen beds are located upstairs. Two twin beds are located in the downstairs bedroom. There is also an additional sleeping area in the loft. There is flat parking to accommodate up to four cars. The living room has a slate surround, remote controlled fireplace (off May-Sept), flat panel HD Television in LR and Master, DVD/CD player, WIFI and fast internet. Through the french doors, right off the newly remodeled kitchen, there is a large redwood deck. 30 year old grape vines, espaliered on the fence and arbor surround the lawn and backyard. Roll out the Santa Maria Bar-Be-Que and try your hand at grilling your own Santa Maria tri-tip. Read or just relax in the backyard hammock. Enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine on the slate balcony off the master or under the twinkling arbor lights in the bakyard. And we are GREEN. We use only green cleaning products- We use Meyers, Greenworks, Earth Friendly Products and Kirkland green only products. We recycle and compost. You will love your experience here as I do. We spent three nights and four days in los Olivos and each time we stay, it just gets better. We will definitely be back. The property was a great fit for the amount of people we had. The only issue for us was the steep incline of the property made it a bit challenging for my dad at times.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the backyard had so much charm. It had everything you would need for a weekend stay. Would recommend and I would stay here again!

The house was big enough to accommodate our family, great walking distance from Los Olivos downtown and had good Wi-Fi. However, it was not stocked with enough kitchen items to cook with, and the lighting throughout was the house was very dim. The house needed a good cleaning as there were spiderwebs everywhere inside and out. The shower and the kitchen faucet needed new attachments. As every time you turned on the kitchen sink it would shower you with water and the nobs in the showers where marked wrong as the cold was the hot and the hot was the cold. The lack of outside lighting and the parking area was up a very steep hill that made it hard to park and find your way to the front door at night. The location of the house was right across from a auto repair shop and it was hard to get through the alley way to get up the hill into the parking area of the house with all the broken down cars in the way. The homeowner controls the temperature and would not allow it to go lower than 72 which made it really hot on a warm day as we had asked to have it lowered and was told that it does not go lower than 72. The backyard with overgrown, and made it hard to enjoy with all the spiderwebs and bugs around the grapevines.

The best location for wine tasting in Los Olivos, just a brief jaunt to the first tasting room. The home is lovely and comfortable. Will be returning!

This is a great location to walk the village of Los Olivos and do some winetasting. The house was comfortable and well appointed. The only negative for me was no washer and dryer. When you were staying somewhere a week it is appreciated to have access. Reviewing the listing none were promised so it was not false advertising just something I have come to expect.

We especially enjoyed the area and the backyard! The house is charming. The property was difficult for us to find as our GPS told us we had arrived before we really did. We could not see any addresses from the view from the street. We had to pull up the hill/driveway to the actual house to see the address. After locating the house we used the back parking area which was more convenient for unloading and coming and going. The house was clean. We were four older ladies and only one of us enjoyed our bed - the one who got the king bed. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to see and do.

We really enjoyed staying in this rustic home. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The best part is how easy it was to walk to the cute town and enjoy wine tasting and good food. We would definitely stay here again !
