Situated in Calaveras County, this attractive house for $229 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to the perfect getaway to year round family fun! A variety of sports and recreational activities for both adults and children are located nearby. This spacious home is tastefully decorated with cozy designer furnishings and accents. All bedding and bath linens are provided and included in the rental rate. The kitchen, dining room and great room are an open design, opening out through the beautiful glass doors onto the large outdoor deck surrounded by gorgeous pine trees. The large kitchen is fully equipped for easy meal preparation and entertaining. The large dining table has seating for 6 and is perfect to gather everyone around for board games after dinner. The great room is "entertainment central" with ample, comfortable seating to enjoy the large flat screen with Direct TV, Blu-Ray, and DVD. In the Spring, Summer and Fall, you'll love sitting out on the large deck, taking in the wonderful scent of the pines while enjoying a good book and a glass of wine. In the winter, it's a spectacular view of the snow covered trees through the large windows. All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king bed with new,luxurious linens, flat screen TV, walk-in closet and a forest view. The newly remodeled private master bathroom features a slate walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a wonderful view of the forest. The third bedroom has bunk beds, walk-in closet and a combination TV/VCR. There is a 2 car garage with room for 2 small cars or 1 large car or SUV. The garage has covered access into the home and room to park 2 additional vehicles on the paved outdoor pad. We had a lovely time on our snow vacation. Leland’s snow park was a blast! The house had a great kitchen with all the amenities. My grandson Loved the bunk beds & the main floor living area was perfect for little ones to run around. Beautiful views from the back deck too. I would definitely rent this home again.

We loved this place. The owner was very communicative! Even though it doesn't have WiFi, all the games and videos made the forced technology break very fun. It snowed A LOT while we were there, and the community was very helpful. Roads were plowed by 7:30am to help with getting out. It was very helpful to be able to park in the garage. Shovels were right there to clear a tiny bit of driveway, and we had no issues with driving to or from the cabin in the snow (without 4x4 drive- but YES Chains). It is 20 minutes door to door to Dodge Ridge, and we had the best time! The storm caused the power to go out our last night, but the owners had planned for that with extra blankets, flashlights and lanterns in easily findable places. We felt warm and safe, and can't wait to book again!

We couldn't have had a better time at this mountain home. The place exceeded all the expectations. There was everything we could have needed to enjoy our stay. The proximity to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort was a definite plus. The home was clean, cozy and had all the comforts you could want during the winter in the mountains.

This was a beautiful property. Diane was very communicative and helpful. We loved having the air conditioning to with 3 older, menopausal women! We had so much fun kayaking Pinecrest Lake and the deck in the evening. There is no wifi, however my friends phone was able to connect through her data service, mine didn’t work though. So I just unplugged! Very relaxing girl’s trip. We plan to return!

The property was very nicely laid out kid friendly with the armoire full of kids toys and games and the playroom upstairs. Nice to sit out on the deck and let the kids play knowing there all exits were secured with Gates. My only complaint was the morning we were leaving we were without power for almost 4 hours which meant no coffee to start our day and breakfast was pretty Slim Pickens for the kids, cold sausage and eggs from the previous day. It would have been nice to receive some sort of compensation but when I shared this "hiccup" nothing was mentioned or offered up.

Pinecrest Lake never disappoints
Love this area. Have stayed here twice. We have kids under 6 so the deck with all the gates for safety is nice for relaxation of mom and dad. House is clean. The only recommendations I would make to future guests are: 1) bring your own washcloths, as the supply was limited (abundant supply of posh towels, though!) and 2) if you are going to be arriving on a winter night, reach out to the host to request she turn the heat on for you. We arrived at 10:30 at night with our kid asleep in the car to a 49 degree house. It took over an hour to warm up, which would have been ok in the day, but it was challenging at night. Thankfully the cabin comes with a washer & dryer, so my husband thought of putting our daughter’s bedding in the dryer to warm it up before bringing her in to bed. Diane left us a lovely bottle of wine, though, much appreciated. Super easy to get to Dodge Ridge to ski, and nice walks up and down the development roads.

Great family cabin
I loved our stay at this wonderful and thoughtful house. Great location, spacious, clean, well stocked kitchen, little stool for kiddos to reach the sink, kid books in the bunk bed room, lots of warm blankets, etc. It surpassed my expectations. :) Thank you!

A Comfortable Visit to the 90's
We had a wonderful visit here in early 2022. We've stayed in dozens of cabins and houses across the country over the years, and this was one of the cleanest and most comfortable we've experienced. I was particularly impressed with the kitchen. Every appliance we used was relatively new and in good working orders (a bit of a rarity in the rental world!). Upstairs we had plenty of linens and towels. The beds got mixed reviews, but that's a matter or personal taste.
Technology-wise, this is a visit to 1999. There is no wi-fi and our Verizon phones had only brief glimpses of service. One of us had a T-Mobile phone with a fair number of bars, which we could use to stream music and look up the open hours of local restaurants. (Spoiler alert: most were closed!) Entertainment was limited to a collection of VCR tapes and a few DVD's. There is also a WII (no games for it, though) and an iPod dock for music (just in case you have a working iPod). We didn't try the Dish TV.
We had relatively warm winter weather and could easily see returning in the summer to sit on the deck and look out at the wonderful view.

House is well maintained with lots of accessories - kitchen, toys.... Owner was very helpful with travel advice for the snow. Also helped with insurance claim (still outstanding) for repainting wall that toddler drew on with markers. We had a great time in midst of a snow storm and would love to come again.

Second stay at this lovely property that I would give 10 stars if I could. Gorgeous views from the back deck with all the comforts of home. Not to mention a short drive to Dodge Ridge. Diane is highly communicative and responsive. Great experience as always!

We so enjoyed our time at the cabin and hope to return. The hosts were communicative and thoughtful, purchasing new sleds before our arrival and leaving a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. It snowed and the house was a magical quiet escape. We were able to sled in the backyard, take quiet walks through the neighborhood and enjoy Dodge Ridge for snowboarding just 10 minutes up the road. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations from the hosts. Also great location for enjoying Pinecrest Lake. We will be back!!

PERFECT LOCATION
We spent Christmas with our kids and grand kids at the cabin. It was a perfect white Christmas. The cabin is easy to get in and out in the snow. Beautiful deck in the back overlooking the snow covered trees. views from two of the bedrooms also looking out over the forest in the back. Plenty of room for 6 people (4 adults and 2 younger children) in the kitchen, dining room and living room.

We have been trying to get Pinecrest camp ground spots reserved for two years but have not been lucky. This cabin provided me an opportunity to share the beauty of the lake AND the neighboring cities. The cabin provided a peaceful and private retreat after a day of hiking, swimming and shopping :)
Communication with the owner/property manager was concise and clear. I appreciated that!
We will return and recommend this location!

Beautiful home no WiFi in the area. Best grocery store and restaurant are in Twain Harte only a 15 minute drive not bad . And the bottle of wine was a nice surprise.
