About this house rental
Enjoy your own retreat at 'LaVallee', a 630 acre property granted by George II in 1715. Easily accessible but secluded with a beautiful pool, 6 acre lake and stunning views. Tour central Virginia's wonderful sites - only 40 minutes from Charlottesville and Richmond, an hour and 20 minutes from Williamsburg and 2 hours from Washington DC.

One of the best equipped kitchens in a rental house we have ever stayed in. The house is not close to a lot so a lot of driving is necessary if you want to see things beyond the property, we didnt mind though. We welcomed the quiet and silence for the week. We loved that our furry baby was allowed to come with. The outdoor spotlights did not do anything to provide light at night, that was our one complaint. Also that the pool light didnt work so we couldnt be in the wonderful pool after dark. Wonderful historic property.

This property had the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets and it's set in a very private and peaceful space. My kids and I loved the pool, but also the general ambiance within the home. Not to mention a large kitchen with a variety of appliances.
