Good location. The observation deck was great for sunrises and watching surfers. One of the few beaches in that side of the island.

Room was clean and comfortable. Host greeted us morning after arrival. We were able to do laundry which was very nice. Fabulous sunrise view from the balcony and close to a beach for surfing. I encourage bringing ear plugs. Not sure if the singing frogs are seasonal but they are quite noisy. The bed was very comfortable and location was very central to the various sights to the north and to south of island.

The location of this guest suite in Hilo was great, and the hosts were friendly and communicative. However, I was extremely uncomfortable with the numerous political signs displayed around the property. This isn’t something that was shown or mentioned in the listing, and I was so caught off guard by the atmosphere upon arrival that I initially turned out of the driveway.I respect that everyone is entitled to their views, however, I believe it’s important to give guests a full picture of what to expect. None of this was mentioned or shown in the listing, and had we known, we would have booked elsewhere. Transparency in listings is important, and this was a major element that felt deliberately excluded.
