Nestled in Bayfield, this lovely bed and breakfast for $162 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The Pilot House B & B "Crow's Nest" in downtown Bayfield is just 1 block up from the Madeline Island Ferry and boat tours, shops & restaurants. Private keypad entry to main entrance door Free WIFI. The beach next to the Madeline Island Ferry is the start of the Point to La Point swim race. The "Crows Nest" Sleeps 2 and has breath taking views of Madeline Island off in the distance and looks over the top of the downtown Bayfield area. Walk to everything within 3 blocks of The Pilot House. After making a reservation, we will email you and you must immediately reply to our email (not VRBO messaging) with your full address, names of guests and which are adults and children and their addresses, for Wisconsin Guest Registry Statute. Please note that VRBO will not allow us to message you with our email address and if we attempt to do so, they will block the email out. This must be done within 1 hour of making the reservation on VRBO. We will attempt to text you as well. After we receive we will then email you from our email the arrival instructions, door codes, and any applicable parking permits to print and bring to your accommodation on date of your arrival. The whole house is immaculate and our unit was the same. The only downside was that our unit at the top of the house was pretty cozy, i.e., small. The bathroom was actually pretty spacious but the bedroom was crowded for just the 2 of us. No false advertising, just small. The views in all directions were glorious. We enjoyed walking around Bayfield and getting in some great hikes along the national lakeshore.

The room is reasonably priced and very cute and clean, the location is perfect, and I adored waking up to the view of the sun rising over Gitchegumee. The blueberry muffins are really tasty as well. Nothing substantial to complain of, and I'd certainly recommend this spot to anyone.

The Crows Nest is an excellent property, however we feel that the host could have prepared a small breakfast and made it more personal i. e., sharing about the area’s history. A vast majority of B&Bs we’ve stayed at do this. It’s more appealing than 1 yorgurt and a processed muffin. Just saying. Thank you.

Clean and comfortable room. Convenient to downtown Bayfield and the ferry. We were able to walk to everything. Breakfast options at the B&B were limited. The driveway up to the house is quite steep and might be an issue for some.

An ideal location, walkable and convenient to docks for boat, ferry rides and restaurants. Hosts were like ghosts, serve yourself muffin and juice only breakfasts. Towels were thin and cheap. King mattress has seen better days. Be prepared to walk up many steps to this particular room. Not a typical B&B experience

My daughter and I visited Bayfield for the first time. We wanted somewhere close to everything and with an amazing view. The Pilot House fit both of those wants!! It was within walking distance of the ferry and the shops. Our room had amazing views and was very quiet at night. We stayed in the Crow’s Nest!! We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely stunning views. Affable owners. This cannot be called a bed and breakfast when there is no breakfast. Sorry but there is more offered at any Super 8 than here.

We arrived 15 minutes early after a 4 hr drive with large trailer and had nowhere to park it due to festival so since door code worked we thought it would be okay to just drop our things quick and then find trailer parking. Owner scolded us for arriving early and parking trailer on street in which we apologized and tried to explain but he just walked right by us and never spoke to us entire 4 days. Overall stay was great though and convenient location for us as vendors at festival.

The room was exactly as advertised, with a small bedroom and a large bathroom. The jacuzzi jets didn't work, but we weren't really expecting them. The location is perfect for seeing the marina as is great for exploring the town. Whole building is very cleaned and well maintained, but is nothing out of the ordinary.

We stayed at The Crow’s Nest for three nights. Such a lovely spot! Up high so the views were fantastic. It’s very close to Lake Superior and everything you need to plan trips to Madeline island, Island cruises, kayaking etc. Also Bayfield restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place and great location only a block from the main drag and the ferry. Very friendly and informative owner. The breakfast consisted of blueberry muffins, yogurt, coffee and juice. The fresh fruit was apples - it would have been nice to see some bananas and/or grapes as well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

The Pilot House “Crow’s Nest” was just perfect!!! Amazing views of downtown Bayfield and Lake Superior. There was so many nice simple touches that made this place so perfect. The owners were very personable. We would definitely stay again.

Pro's: Great location! Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. Check in/out was a breeze. Con's: It should specify that the continental breakfast is cold and limited. I think for a B&B we expected something more for breakfast than just blueberry muffins and apples... We ended up eating breakfast at local restaurants which was an added expense. Also the Jacuzzi tub runs out of hot water about 1/3 full, so that was disappointing. Overall it was a nice stay. I'd recommend it still, but next time we'll look for somewhere that offers a hot breakfast option.
