The main floor features a large eat-in kitchen, a family room with 50''plasma TV, comfy seating and a pub table, a master suite with king bed & flat screen TV/dvd and second bedroom with queen bed & TV/dvd. Climb the circular staircase to the bunkroom (double bed) and then the tower loft (twin over full & twin trundle underneath) with gorgeous 360 degree views of the gulf and Destin area.

We recently stayed at the Barracuda Beach House with our family and overall had a good experience, especially for the price and location. The biggest highlight by far was the location, it was only about a 2-minute walk to a beautiful, pristine beach, and having the chair and umbrella setup included was a huge bonus.The house itself had a lot of charm and character and actually felt like a true beach house instead of a generic rental. It was spacious enough for our family, and the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, cookware, a blender, and even a griddle, which made cooking easy. The oven worked great, the washer and dryer were reliable, and we really enjoyed the fire pit out back and the rocking chairs on the front porch.That said, there were definitely a few maintenance and cleanliness issues that need attention. Some of the porch cushions had visible mold on them, which was unpleasant, and the front porch railing and uneven front step felt like safety hazards. We also noticed trash in the bushes outside and even found some random trash in one of the bedrooms. The carpet in the living room also felt dirty and could probably use a deep cleaning or replacement.The bunk bed in the upstairs room felt unstable and was extremely close to the ceiling, making it really only suitable for a small child. The small middle room upstairs was very cramped, had no windows, and the mattress sagged badly. Honestly, most of the beds felt like they are due for replacement.

I had a great experience in this house. The owner was great with communication and expectations. The 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas waiting for us on the beach was a bonus. However, we had an issue with running the dishwasher. Every time we used it, water began to rise in the sink. We just decided to hand wash dishes after this happened a couple of times. Overall, the house is perfect for high school/college kids with a few updates needed.

This place is in a great location very close to the beach. Check in process is very quick and easy as well. The wrap around deck and the front steps are in very very bad shape and need replaced asap. The side area of the house where the hose for rinsing off sand is a complete safety hazard. If you weigh over 100 pounds I would not suggest walking on this deck and porch. The inside of the house is a little run down as well and could probably use some updates. The one couch in the house is broken so when you sit on it you sink straight to the middle. This house was good was a quick weekend trip with college friends but I would not stay here on a trip with my family and children.
