Just a short 5 minute walk to the beach and the JW Marriott Resort and Spa. Spacious yet cozy 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, one-of-a-kind Key West style house brimming with old Florida charm, landscaped with native and Florida friendly plant species. This house is the perfect backdrop for your tropical island getaway. Sit back and relax by the huge southern exposure heated screened-in pool at this seaside cottage fully stocked for your vacation in paradise. Much more than a hotel room or a bare bones rental, every room has been specially curated with guests in mind. Full size soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, ice maker, coolers, kitchen wares, (even waffle irons!) and decorated in casual coastal style with touches of whimsy, original art, Wi-Fi, games, books, magazines and puzzles. Three unique bedrooms each with cable and smart TVs with streaming apps, private bathrooms and bidets on every toilet. Ample toilet paper, towels, bath bombs, bubble bath, full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, make up remover cloths and hairdryers in every bathroom. Forgot a toothbrush? Need an aspirin? Extras of the necessities are always complimentary. Master bedroom has Cal king pillow top hybrid bed (longer than regular king) and a 55” smart tv. Main floor guest suite has 2 queen beds - one hybrid plush mattress, one tempurpedic, and upstairs open loft suite has king size bed and 2 convertible couches that open into twin beds. Projector with Roku tv and all the apps. Extension cords next to beds to accommodate chargers. Feed and be mesmerized by the tropical fish in the 60 gallon saltwater reef tank. Play the piano! Rock on the front porch and relax on the spacious back porch then take a leisurely dip in the wrap-around heated pool (no extra heating charge! 88 degrees in winter, or warmer in summer, just like the JW Marriott) Pool towels and floats provided, 2 outdoor dining spaces by pool and gas grill. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Need to work on vacay? No problem. New fiber optic Wi-Fi is complimentary... And you will have the best zoom meeting backgrounds ever! Laundry room with ample supplies. Whole house Kinetico water dechlorinator and softener, for soft skin and hair. Kitchen additionally has reverse osmosis under-sink water purifier that also makes ice cubes. Guests can expect all the comforts of home: laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, cleaning products, paper towels, garbage bags, and more. Both Keurig and Mr. Coffee makers with coffee pods, coffee, assorted teas, creamer, sugar, local honey, assorted sweeteners. Pool and beach towels, beach chairs, toys, cooler, picnic basket, umbrella. Six (6) bikes with baskets, lights and bells. Full size fridge and freezer in garage. Full use of garage for parking encouraged. All linens including blankets and comforters are washed and bleached / sanitized between each and every guest without exception. Entire house is professionally cleaned and sanitized between guests. Less than 1/8 mile to beach access (5 minute walk), 1/2 mile to shopping, restaurants, movie theater, JW Marriott and Hilton hotels. Excellent location, 2 blocks walking distance to the beach, house has all the beach accessories and carts you need to enjoy the Sun. Home is beautiful, excellent two bedrooms with a second floor loft as the 3rd bedroom that has a private bathroom. Great pool with all the water toys you need for the kids, including a nice grill for the afternoon bar b q and a very relaxing outdoor deck ( all enclosed so no mosquitos at night) . Loved our stay, Becky and her dad were great hosts.

The house was so cute and super clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, which is a big plus. Becky was super pleasant and waited for us to arrive, talked to us about the town and taught my kids how to feed the fishes; kids spent a lot of time in the morning admiring the aquarium. Very close to walk to the beach. Thank you so much!

This has been by far one of the best places we have stayed in Marco Island. The communication with Becky was outstanding. She waited for us on arrival to show us around the property and see if there was anything else we needed, but everything was already taken care off. The property itself is amazing! The kitchen is fully stocked and with a reverse osmosis filter on the sink so you dont even need to buy water to drink. Bathrooms were super clean and beautifully decorated, beds super confortable and with a lot of space. They have a beautiful saltwater fishtank where you can feed the fishes once a day and spend a lot of time just staring there. Also there’s a piano you can play.
The terrace in the back is perfect to relax, and there is a very big heated pool in an L shape with lots of pool gadgets to use as well.
And the location of the property is top notch! Just one block away from the beach, and a 5 minutes drive to many restaurants and shops.
So, thanks again for everything Becky, we will surely be returning here!

We’ve rented homes through VRBO in SWFL for about 15 years and this was our first VRBO stay on Marco. Becky was an amazing hostess, greeting us at the home to walk us through and give us some great local recommendations. The home was the best stocked we’ve ever experienced and everything was as described. The walk to the beach was easy (5 minutes or so) and safe with a crosswalk with push button to hold traffic. The home was well stocked with beach supplies as well (wagons, chairs, etc). It was so convenient that we went back and forth at least twice each day to enjoy morning beach walks, sunshine during the day, and the sunsets of course. We used the provided bikes to head to local shops, and really enjoyed the pool at the house when we weren’t out or at the beach. It was a great week and we enjoyed everything about our stay. Our family is three adult couples and one college student and we had enough room for all of us to have our own sleeping space. Between the beach, the neighborhood, the pool, the porch, and the home - we had plenty of space to ourselves throughout the stay. We’d stay again for sure.

Mermaid’s Cottage is beautifully decorated, has all the amenities, and is located .41 miles from front door to shore. The walk is incredibly easy. The pool is warm, the beds are super cozy, and the house has absolutely everything you need. Feeding the fish will be your favorite part of your day. The aquarium is so incredible! I loved the fish!
Marco Island is a quiet, pleasant island with tons of walking and shelling opportunities. This house is on a quiet street and your vacation will be zen if you choose it! Enjoy!

First let me say how wonderful Becky was to work with! Such a pleasure. The house has such character and is in a perfect location with short walk to beach. It is so well stocked, that it felt like our own home. The bikes, chairs, umbrella and coolers were well used. The coffee fixings were appreciated. And our 11 year old loved the fish tank.

Beautiful Home
This property is a beautiful home located on Marco Island. The house had some bikes for us to use and our commute to the beach was 2 mins! House came fully stocked with everything you can think of! Close to many restaurants! The only thing I can say negative (which actually wasn't an issue for us but if I had brought my children it would have been...) you have to be super quiet after 9pm due to the neighbors. If I was on vacation, my kids would have been in the pool playing and probably loud. So just an FYI for people with kids. Other than that, this house was amazing.

Becky was very available and communicative throughout the rental process and the stay itself. Home is in a great location and super clean. Property is clean and very well kept with a good living/dining area. Great space for two couples. Has a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the pool and back porch, very relaxing area. The location to the public beach was great and there are chairs, umbrella and a beach wagon to carry all you need. Lots of beach towels. Wifi worked well for us. Becky was very personal and gave good recommendations on places to see and restaurants. She provides a list of options which was very helpful. We would highly recommend Marco Island and this property.
