The Second Story Loft is a modern gem in downtown Nantucket. Located on the second floor of a completely renovated building which houses Nantucket Bookworks and ACKfresh juice bar on the first floor, the Second Story Loft features three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and has a striking Great Room with a wall of books, comfortable seating area, generous table, and gourmet kitchen perfect for entertaining.
The Second Story is a great spot from which to explore Town and the island. Cars are not necessary, as the loft is located in easy walking distance from the ferries, and shuttle buses and taxis are readily available. Ask us about corporate retreats or parties - we work with local caterers and can help plan your trip.

This home is truly one of a kind—a hidden treasure tucked among the charming cobblestone streets of Nantucket. The house is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location is unbeatable, making it easy to enjoy all that Nantucket has to offer.We had such a wonderful stay and were sad to leave. Wendy was incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. We felt right at home and can't wait to return. Highly recommend this special property to anyone visiting Nantucket!

A bibliophile’s dream — welcoming! comfortable! — and perfectly located in the heart of Nantucket, next door to Brotherhood of Theives, steps from everything. Wendy owns the bookstore downstairs. She’s friendly and responsive. I seldom leave reviews here and when I do I’m a tough grader, but this stay simply couldn’t have been more wonderful.

Very noisy location as there are busy restaurants on both sides of the property, trash pickup at 5:30 & 6:30 am, bottles/glass-rattling noise delivery at 7 am (probably to the restaurants). Coffee machines didnt work (though the owner delivered one at the very last day). Shower drain was clogged. Towel racks were very loose as was the shower door handle. AC thermostats never woked properly, temperature never matched he thermostat setting.
