About this house rental
Situated in Cayucos, this attractive house for $302 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. *COVID-19 ADVANCED CLEANING AND DISINFECTANT GUIDELINES In light of the coronavirus outbreak, we are monitoring the situation closely with the safety of our travelers in mind. We welcome those who are in need of a safe place to stay, but also highly encourage those to follow the advice provided by the CDC and our local government at this time. The safety and well-being of our guest is always our top priority, but at times like this our commitment takes on a special significance in the light of the global outbreak of COVID-19. This is both our home and our business and we take great pride in maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness. We have instituted a 24 hour wait period before entering the home. Our cleaning vendor follows CDC cleaning and disinfection guidelines. However, all guests should also do their part to disinfect the unit. We also include disinfectant wipes and sprays for guests during their stay. We will continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from the world health organization, the US centers for disease control and prevention and the County of San Luis Obispo health department and will continue to respond based on the best advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals. The “Beach Cottage” is located just 2 blocks from the Morro Strand State Beach, a five mile uninterrupted expanse of sand and waves. As you drink coffee in the morning, you can sit at the breakfast nook or on the glass enclosed front deck and watch the waves break with Morro Rock to the South and all of Estero Bay to the western horizon. One can actually see 50 miles of coast; south of Montana De Oro (Point Bishon) and north to Estero Point (north of the abalone farm). At the south end of Cayucos on Ocean Blvd, you are surrounded by headland hills and blue water. Most days you will see local professionals soaring off the tops in their para-gliders, right behind the house, landing on the flat in front of the beach…cool! The house has been totally remodeled. Walls have been removed and sight lines were considered so that you have views from everywhere in the great room. The deck has comfortable chairs, a table for dining, gas grill and a 10’ umbrella for sun protection. The kitchen has a suite of Samsung stainless appliances, quartz countertops throughout. We also added a On Demand tankless water heater in 2018. The great room offers comfortable seating for conversation or making use of the 55” flat screen Smart TV; Premium Channels package, and sound system. The full bath has top of the line hardware, tub/shower option, water saver loo, and double sinks; storage for your personal beach towels, can be stacked in the ample storage closet. The 3/4 bath also has water saver loo, walk in shower, and sink with storage beneath. The Guest bedroom has a queen bed and is tastefully decorated with a 47" flat screen Smart TV. The Master bedroom has a Cal-King, high boy dresser, and also a 47” flat screen Smart TV. The back yard has a quiet setting with a water fountain, succulent garden, and a gas fire pit for those roasted marshmallows and Smores. A storage shed is available for larger toys like surfboards, bikes, or things that DO NOT GO IN THE HOUSE! The backyard is enclosed and lockable. There is no garage privilege. Owners store rental paraphernalia there. NOTE...We added a space over the garage and carport in 2018 that is the owners residence. It was designed by our architect to elimate any sound transference between floors.

This is the perfect central coast beach getaway for a small family and a dog. The host is super nice, without being obtrusive. The ad for this place was very accurate, although to be honest it didn’t do this lovely house justice. The house has everything you could possibly need in it including instructions and having everything labeled. They even decorated for Christmas. The view is great and the beach is a two block walk. My family and our dog went every day and loved it. We’ve rented many vacation homes over the years and this is by far the best.

Centrally located to everything. We golfed, hiked, played on the beach, walked along the bluffs, traveled to SLO, Cambria, Morro Bay and Los Osos. We lived in the area before, so we were certain this beach rental would fit all our family plans for enjoying the central coast. Sunsets were enjoyed by all either from the deck or down on the beach just a short walk over the hwy.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!! Cindy's beach house was incredible. The house is beautifully upgraded and she has the cutest decor. Honestly, everything yo need and Morro Bay was a less than 10 min drive. The ocean views are both stunning and so tranquil. I truly did not want to leave, and can't wait to go back!
Cindy's communication was superb. Directions for everything were super clear. We brought our dog, and she had even thought of dog blankets!!!! Truly felt like home, thank you!!!

Great getaway with wife and our 100 pound yellow lab Bo. We stayed 2 weeks and really enjoyed the entire trip. House was perfect for us. Beautifully decorated, fully stocked and very thoughtful touches. Cindy was very responsive and helpful. Easy access to so many fantastic places including wine tasting, dog beach, great trails and amazing views. Really enjoyed the sunset from the front porch.

I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner guest house, and the lighting is so natural. Views of Pacific Ocean and Morrow Rock are worth the price of admission, and kitchen is very well appointed.

The beach house was fantastic. Clean and comfortable and in a great location. Everything you could possibly need for a week at the beach including beach gear. Great communication with the host. Easy to get to the beach and our dog was so happy playing on the dog friendly beach across the street. Easy, quick drive into beautiful town of Cayucos or Morro Bay.

There were tv’s in each bedroom with 2 bathrooms and even a washer and dryer to use. The house was clean and had everything you would need for a get away. Dishes, towels and even some laundry pods if you needed them. They had fans and a playpen in the closet and a bunch of board games in the entertainment center. All the kids loved the house and we were very comfortable staying there. Easy check in and clear instructions about what to do when you were leaving. I would definitely stay here again!!

Have stayed here many, many times so we obviously love it! So comfy and cozy, has everything you need to relax or entertain. This time around we cooked a lot and enjoyed all of the comforts of the cottage.

The property is cute but it sits right on/above Hwy 1 so traffic noise was an issue for us. We never felt like sitting out on the front deck for this reason. And there is a wide view but it is a bit diminished by power lines and the row of houses across the highway. The sunlight in the cottage is quite nice and the window blinds worked great. The place is comfortable and fairly well-appointed, but a few small things weren't working or broke (latch to microwave oven broken so it was unusable; switch for bedside lamp in one room; fan in second bathroom didn't work). Also, the kitchen is pretty well stocked but the inexpensive ceramic knife set provided was in terrible condition, deadly dull and flaking off paint, really needs to be replaced. A teakettle or hot water pitcher would be good to have; we prefer to make our own drip coffee and do not require a large coffeemaker for a single cup. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the location (other than being right next to highway) was good; however, the "3-minute walk" to the beach means crossing the four-lane highway at a place with no stop sign or stoplight or crosswalks. Communication with owners was friendly and responsive. The rental unit just needs a bit of going-over to find and fix minor things, and the listing should mention the property's closeness to the highway.

Upon arriving, we opened the front and were thrilled. The home has a very convenient floor plan and is immaculate and warm. Cindy even provided a bottle of wine to welcome us, as well as many brochures for local activities and restaurants.
Our plan was to have breakfast at 'home' then dinners out. All equipment was provided in the modern and convenient kitchen, so this worked out perfectly.
From the front patio and windows you can see the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Although the home is just above Highway 1, the house is well-insulated and very quiet inside.
The location is between Cayucos and Morro Bay, so it is ideal for touring. Across Highway 1 is a fabulous, dog-friendly beach, where we walked daily. I don't see how you can walk there in 3-minutes though, because you have to cross the highway and walk down, but it is an easy 5-minute drive.
The owner lives upstairs and was away during our visit so we didn't meet her in person. However, she responded to our questions IMMEDIATELY via message, always friendly with good information.
In short, this rental provided a very comfortable base for visiting the area. We had a great time.
