About this house rental
Located in Norris Lake, this attractive house for $725 per night is a great choice for your next trip. “Family Affair” is an enormous 5,000 square foot lake house located right on the water's edge!!! The entire house with all amenities are strictly yours to enjoy, this includes a huge private double level dock with two covered boat slips and a swim platform. The private boat ramp (for the gated community only) is only about 50 yards from house, so putting your boat in and out will be easy. Family Affair is about a five minute boat ride to the famous 'jumping bridge' and about six minutes to ski water.. Family Affair is ideal for family gatherings or entertaining large groups. You can see us on faceb00k at "family affair - norris lake". Its open floor plan has 2 full living levels and each level has a full kitchen, living room, and dining area. Both kitchens are equipped with granite counter tops, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, and microwaves. With 8 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, plus four private vanities with sinks and mirrors (in four of the bedrooms), this huge house can accommodate up to 26 guests in beds. (7 king, 4 Twin, 4 full) Located on an acre lot with more than 150 feet of private water frontage, “Family Affair” is built right on the lake shore as close to the lake as the Tennessee Valley Authority will allow. It has three furnished walkout decks overlooking a tranquil swimming cove where family and friends can float in the sun with no worry of speeding boats or big waves. The lowest of these three decks has a secluded 8 person hot tub for taking in the lake scenery while your relaxation is taken to a whole new level. Take the steps from the lowest of the three walkout decks to your own private fire pit on the water’s edge. A good late night fire is a perfect way to end the evening next to the lake while telling everyone about your day at the jumping bridge (five minutes away by boat). Finally, just a short distance from the fire pit, is one of the biggest private docks on the lake. The dock has two covered slips for your boats, two personal watercraft drive up docks, and a sunning deck. The second level of the dock is a gigantic 31’ x 31’ platform that sits 10 feet above the water. It’s a great place to play corn hole, take in the surrounding sites, or just relax in the sun. “Family Affair” is located in Lakeside Estates, a gated community a few miles from I-75 and minutes from the city of LaFollette. You couldn't ask for a better location. The cove, where “Family Affair” is located, is a short boat ride to Sugar Hollow Marina, Shanghai Marina, and Springs Resort. These locations are conveniently close, but still far enough away as not to interfere with the tranquility and isolation of this wonderful lake home. Norris Lake is a boater's utopia spanning 5 Tennessee counties with more than 800 miles of shoreline. After 18 years of boating on Norris Lake, there are still many areas we have yet to explore. Norris Lake has over 20 marinas with fuel, food, and entertainment. These are great places to have a drink, watch the game, and to people watch. Many of these marinas have great food, especially fish dinners. If you haven't eaten the striper from Norris Lake you are missing what a lot of people consider the best tasting fish anywhere. If you plan on fishing we can recommend a wonderful fishing guide that we used recently. This guy knows his stripers! Just let us know and we will provide his contact information The huge two level, two slip covered dock is in year round water, so you can boat and fish anytime of the year!! Many houses in coves loose their water in the fall when the lake is lowered, by mid September these homes can NOT be accessed by water. Typically, Family Affair can be accessed by water, all year round even though it is in a tranquil cove, this is unique!! If you plan on boating after September or before April please let us know and we will get the current lake level for you

Fully stocked everything worked no issues picked up the trash on Christmas Day when cans were full wish each room had TV's for relaxing at night when retireing to bed. Plenty of dishes pots silverware towels manager contact was excellent. Very clean. Decorated for Christmas.

This place is amazing! There is plenty of space for everyone. Multiple kitchens, living areas, play areas and of course the water.
We will definitely be back to this property in the future. Our host communications were top notch, and everything about the stay exceeded our expectations.

We had a large group of 17 total, 8 adults and 9 teenagers. The house was great, well stocked kitchen and having two was awesome. Plenty of room, plenty of bathrooms, great dock to swim and hangout. Wish it had a slide. Overall would highly recommend.

The accuracy of the listing was all that you need. Our family of 15 (14 adults and one child) enjoyed the house and the lake so much and the listing explains everything. We couldn’t believe how well equipped the kitchen was and how perfect the dock was for our fun-loving group. Greattt time!

This is a huge house. Plenty of towels, stocked kitchen, comfy beds, games. AC works great. Plenty of room for separation when needed. We had 14 people and were very comfortable. Very responsive owner and a beautiful lake. Highly recommend Family Affair.

The house was a perfect fit for our family of 25 for the week. The house was very spacious and provide ample space for everyone to sleep and hang out. There was always something to do whether it was swimming, cornhole, boating, pool, air hockey or just lounging on the couch to rest from all the stairs. Our family would stay again!

We go somewhere different every year with my brother, sister, parents and all their families. In total there are 20 of us ranging in age from young child to grandparents. Family Affair was a very fun location for us on beautiful Lake Norris. The house had plenty of beds and space for all of us. The ice machine was a great addition and there was two full size refrigerators to keep all the food for that many people cold. Overall it was a great vacation. The only thing we didn’t prepare for was the fact that we didn’t have cell service all week although the house had great WiFi but without phone service around the lake it was hard to communicate with people back at the house. Also the number of stairs is intense. Even the young kids would be winded when they started at the dock and had to climb all the way to the top deck of the house. All the houses around were similar and we had seen the pictures but it was definitely a work out. Overall we would do it again in a heartbeat though. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us.

This is a wonderful place for a family reunion. Everyone has a great time! Had an issue with the air conditioner keeping up, but as soon as the owner new of the situation, he drove 3.5 hours to fix it. Mark is a wonderful landlord and very attentive to making sure our stay was living up to our expectations. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Family Affair. We had almost 30 family members and there was plenty of space for everyone. With 2 full kitchens, 2 laundry rooms and bathrooms on every floor, this house was perfect for us. There was also plenty of parking as we were able to park 8 cars in front of the house. It’s a very quiet neighborhood and easy to find. We had an unforgettable Thanksgiving celebration and we look forward to coming again.

Thanksgiving 2021
I have, for years, rented a cabin for Thanksgiving weekend for our entire family. This house was perfect for us. There are over 20 of us and most are adults. We usually have an issue with everyone having a bed to sleep in. This house had plenty of beds and plenty of parking. It was also fully stocked. We loved our stay and would recommend it for anyone with a big group.

Great place, this was our first time we went to the lake for a vacation. Didn't realize how far the main part of the lake was from the house. Lots of stairs but overall wonderful house and great people to work with.

Perfect home, perfect location.
My extended family rented this house and it did not disappoint (10 adults 13 kids). The space fit our family well. We had fun swimming in the lake off the dock and had a great time exploring the rest of the lake. Wonderful place, great owners, great communication. I would recommend this home for you next vacation.

We do an annual office vacation and decided to choose Lake Norris this year. The house was AMAZING. We had 22 people and we had plenty of room. The space was huge, came very stocked with kitchen supplies, plates, towels, firewood and cutlery. We had an amazing view of lake norris and loved the hot tub! The owners response was always prompt. My only complaints are the dock and the beds. We seemed to be the only dock without a slide, and we were kinda bummed about that. Also, some of the beds were so hard we had to sleep on the couches instead. I mean, to the point we almost left early because we were getting no sleep. But even with that we really enjoyed our stay.
