Situated in Arorangi District, this lovely house for $115 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Apart from a lifetime of sunsets, the western side of Rarotonga boasts a stunning beach and lagoon called Aroa. Arorangi Retreat is 30 metres away down a little path from his tropical dream. A three bedroom newly completed home, Arorangi Retreat is ideal for a family of up to 6, and offers excellent value. From the large verandah entry to the house is via sliding doors to the main living and dining area and from there to the three bedrooms. All rooms have ceiling fans. Next door to the home is the Aroa Beachside Inn that has great daily sunset BBQs at their shipwreck hut (voted one of the top pacific beachfront bars on trip advisor). And in the other direction, snorkel kayak and internet hire is a stroll away. The Rarotongan Resort is also close by (less than 15 minutes walk along the beach). But the real attraction of Arorangi Retreat is the beach. Although the home is not beachfront, it is extremely close and the sand is white, the lagoon azure blue. Its ideal for snorkeling and having a cold one in the water any time of the day. Arorangi retreat offers excellent value to largish families seeking warmer times and is priced to stay busy through the year. The home will sleep 6 people comfortably. Short 8 day break in Raro to recharge batteries / chill for awhile . Good location . easy access. Facilities available for cooking etc. Only downside was the bar next door which played live music and you can hear it quite plainly until they finish each night. Good music however not conducive to sleeping until their finished.

We really enjoyed Arorangi retreat. The house had everything we needed, close easy beach access, clean, tidy and fantastic communication with the owners. Would highly recommend

Great property. Close to the beach for beautiful sunsets. Comfy beds (bring a lamp if you read at night). Will totally book again. For those missing the path to the beach follow the fence line on the Aro'a side of the property! Enjoy!

Great little property but couldn’t find the beach access. The reviews raved about the accessibility of the beach, but when we headed down there all we could see were private property signs. Ended up walking through the hotel next store and getting a dirty look from the bar staff. There were no instructions either in the property compendium so that was a big miss. Finding the place was hard too, there’s no sign. Calls to property manager went unanswered. The neighbour behind was no help, he told us that the property wasn’t a rental and was owned by someone else. He directed us to keep moving on down the road. Luckily I was persistent and took a gamble, looking under the mat for the key. If you don’t mind ALL that, it’s a good little place.

Tidy house with everything you might need. Noisy road for a small island. Beach lovely to look at but spoilt by the large amount of broken glass. We picked up at least a kilos or so after each tide. Very sad for such a lovely place.

Great location, clean and tidy, very comfortable and well equipped accommodation. Some road noise but so if you are sensitive bring ear plugs. Child friendly. A great property all round.

Absolutely loved staying here, perfect location - Great snorkeling spot, you may even spot the big eel in the coral just a little walk down the path and basically a private beach! Located right next to the Shipwreck which is a lovely wee bar on the beach you can watch the sunset and have a cocktail! Highly recommend this house for people staying with Children also!

Arorangi Retreat is a fantastic place to stay at a very reasonable price. It's very close to a beautiful beach which was fantastic for snorkelling. Although the house doesn't face the beach the view to the bush and hills is beautiful,. The house was well maintained with a nice garden and everything we needed and was walking distance to a cool little bar called The Shipwreck Hut, a shop, cafe and hire shop. Would love to come and stay again.

Arorangi Retreat was the perfect location for us attending a wedding a few doors along the beach at Ra Mura. It had access to a beautiful part of the lagoon, with a bar right next door! The property is well equipped, however the fans were unfortunately insufficient to combat the heat! All in all, we loved our stay and would recommend to others :)

Awesome location. It was our third visit to Raro. First time to stay in house always stay in resorts. The lack of air con was abit of an issue but soon adjusted after the third day. Good size house for 5 adults. Outside shower was well used by the boys. Would defiantly used this property again for a family holiday.
