5 minutes from town, but a world away with great views of the valley. Could use a bit of an update, but very comfortable, if a bit chilly. (We visited in December, and the mini-split heater was not very good at keeping the place at a comfortable temperature all night.

Mike, the owner, lives in the next door house on the property. He was very hospitable and never intrusive. We shared some beer and wine with him as he told us about Paso Robles. Great guy. The studio unit was perfect for our needs. Comfy bed (though I would have preferred cotton sheets instead of the microfiber ones on the king bed), excellent shower, full size fridge, perfect location. We’d stay here again in a second. The views and location is perfect, especially if you're there for wine tasting, antiquing, concerts or the fair. Unfortunately, the hot tub sprung a leak the day before we arrived and was unusable, so hopefully that gets fixed soon. The place could use a good dusting and a few updates, such as the drip mat for dishes and ice cube trays, but overall it is a great location for a week or weekend in Paso Robles.

My mom and I stayed here for my 30th birthday Paso Robles trip and it couldn't have been better! The pictures really don't do it justice. The property was clean and the view was amazing! The hot tub was definitely an added bonus. Thank you for welcoming us into your home!

Second stay here and still love it ! Can't get better than the view , the hot tub and the room. We will be back again. Sad to see Chloe the cat was gone though (darn owls) Always a welcoming hello for us when we pull in too !!!

This VRBO was a perfect weekend stay. What really made this property a gem was the hot tub overlooking the most beautiful view. We started every day in the hot tub. Mike was really kind and greeted us when we arrived. The location was just 5 minutes from downtown which was perfect. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The pictures do not do this place justice. I highly recommend it as an easy get-away and wonderful stay for quiet and privacy. The view and hot tub were an added bonus. Mike was a super host.

We went for a weekend trip to Carrizo Springs and Lake Nacimiento. This was centrally located to all of our travel plans and perfect size for two people with a great hot tub and amazing views.

The property has a beautiful view and the owner is very nice. The hot tub lid was coming apart and a tarp was covering it with cinder blocks holding it down. The toilet was filthy and the bedding had stains. We booked two nights however stayed at a hotel the second night because it was just too gross. This property is in a beautiful location with a stunning view, it just really needs to be cleaned and updated.

Mr. Spensco was a very gracious, generous and accommodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed his vacation rental. It suited our needs to a T inside and out - the hot tub being a special treat. It is quiet and located on a hill with spectacular views of vinyards and rolling hills.. We plan to return. Peter & Peggy Evans

Great place to stay! The scenery is fantastic at night! Over sees the city. Very clean, property manager is very personable and loves to chat with his guests to make sure everything is going well.

We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a cottage. The view from atop the hill is spectacular, especially while soaking in the clean hot tub. The cottage has a full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster - everything we needed for our short trip. It also is equipped with A/C and heat. The bed was comfy and the TV had a rotating arm so we could watch from the bed. Michael, the owner/host, gave us great tips on wineries, music and restaurants. The pictures don't do this cottage justice. We will definitely return for another serene, relaxing getaway.

I rented Michael's cute little cottage because I had a wedding to attend in Cayucus. I got there and the check in was exactly as Michael said. I was suppose to meet friends on the Friday before the wedding. But I was so tired and relaxed there I just slept all day. First I got the munchies. Then hunkered down. When I was suppose to check out. Michael said I could check out anytime. Which was nice because my train did not leave until later in the afternoon. Michael was very cool and relaxed. Except he had no white wine. :) I forgive you Michael !

Located on top of a hill, the property is far enough away from town that there is little light pollution and a great view of the stars. Although the owner’s house is nearby, it is not visible from the rental property, and we felt we had plenty of privacy. We would stay at the cottage again.

Michael’s place is situated on top of a hill with an amazing vista. It’s about a 7 min drive to downtown Paso (we used our rental car exclusively so didn’t expire Uber options). The place is spacious and private. Michael was warm and welcoming but left us to our own devices. He had great tips (and vouchers) for wineries and food options. I would happily stay there again!

This place was perfect for us! My partner and I were in town for a wedding and stayed here. Mike was great and came out to greet us and show us around. He checked in as we were leaving as well. Such a nice guy! Great view- we enjoyed the hot tub as well.

Had a delightful stay at this property. Michael, the property owner and manager is an excellent host. The property is stunning, and Michael had several helpful recommendations regarding local attractions. The view from the property was exceptional. It sits atop a large hill overlooking surrounding farms and the town.

Beautiful location. Nice little studio with a big bed and great hot tub. Michael the host was extremely kind and responsive. He gave us a great tip on wineries and even had some coupons. Did not expect such a nice secluded place so close to town. Would definitely come back here.

This property was a great find for us. We LOVED the location. Close to town (we rode our e-bikes), central to the many wineries, and yet in a serene setting. Waking to the birds in the morning was so relaxing. The place isn't high end and modern, but that's not what is important for us. It was clean, functional, roomy, comfortable, convenient, relaxing and had amazing views from the patio/hot tub...and those are the things that made it a great place for us. We hope to be back again!

Gorgeous views! This place is just a few minutes away from either town or vineyards. It made it very convenient for a great wine-tasting weekend. Very private and quiet - even saw deer during the twilight hours. Owner, Mike, was very pleasant - gave us a little information - then left us to enjoy our stay. Parking is easy. Definitely would stay there again.

This was a great place for a quick get away for us. Place was clean, secluded, and easy to find. We were met with a homemade bottle of Merlot, that was delicious, and given some tips on where to go. Great place to stay.
