About this cottage rental
Located in Santa Ynez, this charming cottage for $350 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Enjoy your own private residence set on 10 acres centrally located to all of the Valley's finest restaurants, wineries and activities in this 2 bedroom 1 bath casita. Set among horse ranches with striking mountain views, we are just 1/2 mile from downtown Santa Ynez, 3 miles from Los Olivos and 5 miles from Solvang. All the comforts of home await you in this Spanish-style home complete with plaster walls, vaulted ceilings and terra cotta tile. It is completely private and separate from the main house where the owners reside with their 2 beloved dogs who are fenced in their own private yard. The great room features a large picture window affording spectacular views of the property, a large gas fireplace with hearth and numerous windows to enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds. There is a 43" Smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video, DirecTV service and a DVD player with a wide assortment of DVD's. High speed WiFi recently added. A secretary desk is the perfect place for your computer work. The primary bedroom has a very comfortable King size bed to guarantee a wonderful night's sleep. Windows on either side of the bedroom provide views of the beautiful landscape. The second bedroom offers 2 twin beds which can be separated or combined to form one Queen size bed. A fully stocked kitchen offers everything for the most industrious cook. Grind your coffee beans and enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch or on the back patio. Full spice rack and cooking oils make it easy to prepare dinner at home. Dining for 4 in adjacent breakfast area. A lovely patio includes a table for 4, additional seating and an outdoor grill. Your covered carport houses a sports locker of sports equipment and a basketball hoop sits across the driveway. This is the perfect getaway for families and couples. Comfortable, convenient and tranquil........all the makings for the perfect vacation stay. We are dog friendly with a 2 dog maximum for a flat fee of $30.00 paid at time of booking. My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing time. Check in and out was a breeze. Jeanne was a perfect host, ready with a warm welcome but also respectful of privacy. She thinks of every detail!
The location is gorgeous, with acres to walk around and enjoy the scenery and nearby farm life. We spent much of our trip just relaxing in and around the house. Our dogs loved it!
The house itself is very inviting, with tons of decoration and art, and there's plenty of space. It was prepared with anything we could need, including some delicious snacks and coffee. Lots of very thoughtful touches.

The casita is in a quiet location, lots of space, and filled with all the amenities for a delightful stay. Jeanne and Leo are superb hosts, have kept the property in immaculate shape and are really helpful. It was a pleasure to meet them. You can walk to downtown Santa Ynez and it is within easy driving of all the wineries and restaurants in the area. We would definitely return. Thanks Jeanne and Leo for being such fantastic hosts.

The casita in Santa Ynez is the perfect spot to unwind and rediscover nature. The property is quiet and allows you to visit horses and cows on the extensive grounds. If you prefer to cook at home, you have both an indoor and outdoor option. The casita is very clean, beds are comfortable, and shower water pressure awesome! Overall, the property and attentiveness of the owners makes the casita in Santa Ynez a gem.

We absolutely loved the casita. It was well stocked and beautifully decorated. It’s minutes away from wine country and old town Santa Ynez.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jeanne and Leo's house in Santa Ynez. Sparkling clean with super comfy beds and pillows. Well appointed kitchen. We dined one night outside on the back patio and then enjoyed a glorious sunset while we watched the neighbors horses, a highlight of our trip as we felt truly submersed in the Santa Ynez vibe! I had the pleasure of chatting with Leo, super friendly and interesting! All in all, a wonderful time at this VRBO!

We were looking for a perfect getaway spot from San Diego, and we found it. The Casita is in such a tranquil setting, and the owners clued us in to such wonderful places as El Rancho Market. It has everything you need. This is the perfect location to explore Solvang, Santa Ynez, Buellton, Los Olivos, and only about 50 minutes from Santa Barbara. We look forward to a return stay.

Jeanne and Leo were lovely and very hospitable. We had 2 labradors with us and they had such much fun running around the very large property. Close to town to pop over for dinner.

From the moment we arrived, we felt so warmly welcomed by the gracious hosts, Jeanne and Leo. The casita was the ideal size for our family and small dog. We enjoyed watching movies together in the evenings, cooking together and even barbecuing! The patio was a perfect spot for an alfresco lunch and the location ideal just beyond Solvang and Los Olives. Relaxing with a book in the afternoon on the patio and then later a glass of wine really helped us feel settled and comfortable. Very, very quiet and tranquil surroundings. Highly recommend!

This was a great little casita to stay in if you want to be able to have a short walk or short drive to restaurants, wineries and shopping in the Santa Ynez/Solvang/Los Olivos region. The "rural" location means it is peaceful and sanguine, but in a simple 18 min walk, you can eat and drink and some fabulous places like the Brothers at the Red Barn. Or, a short drive (under 15 min) takes you to fantastic wineries like Sunstone or Rideau. Easy and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing get-away.

What a relaxing stay in Leo and Jeanne’s “Casita” the perfect location for our home base for the weekend, exploring the magical treasures of the California coast to mountains. It was just beautiful.

We went here over the Christmas holiday and absolutely loved it! I took my wife, mother-in-law, and two dogs, and everyone had an amazing time. The dogs loved running around the property and talking to the horses and cows. My wife and I loved the little house and being so close to Solvang. my mother-in-law enjoyed the fireplace and playing cards on a rainy day. All in all, it was a perfect vacation! Oh, and by the way, the owners are very, very sweet.

Every year my daughter, granddaughter, and great grandson select a small city to visit for the holiday season. We selected Solvang this year and what a delight it was!! This property was just perfect. The house is so nice and clean, well stocked with all your needs, and is so conveniently located to all the surrounding attractions. AND...after a busy day out and about, it was nice to return to "quiet". The property is so peaceful. You won't be disappointed.

A very comfortable bed, nice full kitchen, beautiful grounds, a lovely fireplace and the host were both such gracious, lovely people.

Loved our stay here. Very comfortable home. Located off main road and is surrounded by farmland. House is very centrally located to shopping, restaurants and wine tasting. Hosts are very welcoming.

Very nice and clean house. It was everything we expected. Large grass area that the dogs loved.
The house was sufficiently equipped, but we took our own cookware.
The coupe who were the owners, were staying in the main house but we hardly saw them.

The casita is the perfect getaway spot. nice little outdoor spots to watch the sun rise or set with horses nearby. A nice private place a short drive from Los Olivos and central coast wineries. The property owners couldn't have been nicer. You will enjoy your stay! And pet friendly!
