Would have been nice to be able to use the back deck. Was absolutely filthy & overrun with cobwebs. That doesn't happen overnight. Otherwise, the place was accommodating for our needs.

Though no snow this year was a great disappointment, the stay was quiet relaxing and fun...

Positively, it's roomy and most basic things work, like toilets, drain, refrigerator, etc. Again, there is a lot of room. Negatively, when we arrived it was 40 degrees and the upstairs heater did not work (we had a 9-month old baby with us). We called a management number for the rental but this person couldn't do anything about it . We had to borrow individual heaters from a pastor friend who lives and ministers in Crestline. After borrowing two heaters, we came back to the cabin and the heater was working (this was at least 3 hours after we arrived). We also found the cabin dirty. For example, there was an ash tray full of cigarette butts on the back deck. Lots of dirt by the inside door. It's also important to remember that this is a very old cabin. I felt like it was built in the 60s but maybe 70s. This cabin is thin, tall, and wedged between other cabins. A main road is immediately in front, so it's not quiet. As you can tell, we would never return.

The main thing I want to comment on about this house is how clean it was, but there were so many other details that made the place feel like home. The kids loved having the upstairs living area all to themselves and made a fort on the bunk beds. They were in heaven! Centrally located to almost everything you need and a short drive to Lake Gregory. The communication with the owner was top notch. We took full advantage of the cooking equipment . The back deck is wonderful, especially in the morning with a cup of coffee and in the evening with some music and beer. A busy working parents need more moments like these! Great place, great location. Would definitely recommend it to other families.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Initially it took us some time to settle down, starting from opening the digital lock at the entry door. (spent few minutes figuring it out. Instructions were perfect, you just need to follow it exactly.) Once we entered the cabin, next was to turn on the heater. It was cold since the weekend we visited Big Bear there was a snow storm warning. There are three separate heaters inside the cabin, one downstairs, one upstairs and one in the kitchen. We could start two heaters but could not get heater in the kitchen area working. It did not bother much because other downstairs and upstairs heaters were working perfect. Water was shut-off as expected in the cold areas , you need to go outside and turn on the water. Property manager provided detailed instructions for that. Once we settled down, we started liking the property and enjoyed our two nights stay. Kitchen is equipped with dishes, utensils (some are very old though) and all other electronic appliances you may need. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the property. Would visit again.
