Situated in Sellwood - Moreland, this lovely condo for $109 per night is a great choice for your next break. This large and bright apartment occupies one half of a classic 1924 bungalow. The private entrance brings you to updated rooms that are both comfortable and nicely furnished. The back garden offers a serene setting, a private patio, and a gas grill. Sitting in the heart of a delightful urban neighborhood, the house is fully restored and updated. There is a garden view from every window and Westmoreland Park is two blocks away. Ample street parking is available. WiFi internet included. The bedroom has a king sleep-number bed. The apartment is also super-insulated and stays comfortable all year. A portable AC unit sets up easily when hot weather occurs. The bathroom is completely updated with granite counter top, all new fixtures, and cherry cabinetry. A built-in, lighted makeup mirror is a nice plus. The modernized cook's kitchen has granite counter tops, double stainless sink, cork flooring, and full-size appliances. All the usual fun cooking equipment is provided. Just pick up groceries nearby to cook or order some great take-out from one of the fine local restaurants. Relax in the enclosed sun porch, next to the living room, for your morning coffee. You view is a flower garden and the majestic neighborhood trees. Bonuses: Comes with a guitar and electric tuner if you like to play. Secure bike storage in the foyer or basement. The usual baby gear is covered and stored conveniently in your basement laundry area. Explore a different direction from the house every day! The Orange Light-rail or connect you quickly to downtown and to all the sights. Walk or bike to the notable bakeries, coffee shops, antique stores, and restaurants nearby. Bike enthusiasts will love the access to the Springwater Corridor at the south end of the neighborhood. Great bike shop for rentals close by. Perfect get-away location for couples or visiting grandparents! Maximum occupancy is 2 persons (plus a visitor who would be comfortable sleeping on a couch 🙂). There are 5 steps to reach the front door.

Gem in Sellwood
Even more beautiful than the photos. This charming, comfortable bungalow in the heart of Sellwood will make you never want to leave.
Spacious, welcoming, and well-appointed, we found no creature comfort lacking.
And Barb was very friendly and available to answer any questions.
We will definitely try to book this same VRBO for any future visits to the Portland area!

Delightful stay
Barbara Cannon's property is a gem throughout -- elegant but comfortable. She clearly enjoys the hosting life she has created for herself. And her enjoyment shines through in her conversations with her guest.s If you want a special conversation, ask her to show you her gardens out back. Wow!

Simply charming
We absolutely loved staying here. It was well designed and thought out to the very last detail. It was fabulous, very low key, and quiet in a great neighborhood. Our host was wonderful and we wish we could give it more than 5 stars. No vehicle was needed as we walked to great little shops and places to eat close by and took the max into Portland easily. We will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality.

All we could have asked for...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barb Cannon's tasteful, well-equipped apartment in a lovely duplex. It has everything we want, from the comfortable furnishings and great location--an easy ride over the Sellwood bridge to our family--to another opportunity to stay in one of Portland's loveliest neighborhoods. Step out of the front door and you'll see a real-life fairyland of early 20-century cottages, a short walk through equally awesome streets to Milwaukee, an avenue of a variety of restaurants and shops of all types. But the best feature is a warm and knowledgeable host, Barb. We look forward to another visit to enjoy her lovely apartment and a chat. There's a pleasant back yard also, which we hope to enjoy in the more sunny days of Portland's calendar. Thanks, Barb, for providing this for us.

many small details that add up to one great rental experience
I appreciated so much about this rental. For starters, it was immaculate, which goes a long way towards making a new place feel comfortable. It was also thoughtfully furnished and designed, with soft bedding and a soothing color scheme.
The kitchen in particular had numerous touches that went above and beyond my expectations in a vacation rental: sharpened knives, an anti-fatigue mat at the sink, and labels on the cabinets for easy location of items.
Barbara was very friendly and offered to help in every way possible, but the space was so well-equipped and well-maintained that I didn't need anything more. I was only in town to see my son for a few days of his spring break and regret that I was not able to make better use of the living areas. The sunroom in particular looked like a great place to sit and read.
Last, but not least: the house and neighborhood are very quiet, which made it easy to sleep at night.

This apartment is in a beautiful area of Portland. The property wassail that was promised. The renter lives next door and was very friendly and responsive. I will definitely be back.

a cozy, clean "home away from home" for a few days
We were thoroughly pleased with our stay at Barb's place!! It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the furnishings added to the coziness, and there was lots of light within the apartment. It was quiet inside the apartment during the day and night. Barb has really paid attention to details when setting up this apartment and thought about the comfort of her guests. The kitchen was set up to cook basic meals with some seasonings, coffee/tea, dishes, utensils, a few small appliances, and pots and pans. The bathroom was stocked with basic toiletries. The back patio and garden area would be a peaceful, green place to be in when it is warm enough outside. The apartment is located in a wonderful neighborhood so one is able to walk to natural areas and even a grocery store and restaurants. Barb quickly responded to our questions and made us feel welcome! Since I grew up in this neighborhood and return to Portland to help my mom, I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you again Barb!!
