Nestled in Folly Beach, this attractive house for $400 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This cottage is ideally located for families and couples who want to come and go from the beach and downtown without driving, parking or walking very far. The beach access, directly across the street, is just 40 feet from the front steps. Restaurants and shopping area are just 3 blocks away. We are located at the corner of West Ashley Ave. and 4th Ave. - look for our aqua cottage with widows walk on the top. One of Folly's original cottages, the Love Shack has been updated inside with creature comforts. But the large front deck is still our guests' favorite - as it puts you right in the Folly action with great views. You can see and hear the ocean from almost every room in the house - or listen to the ocean and feel the breezes. There's even a roof top deck over the porch if you want a panoramic view of the island. This rental offers guests a combination of comfort and nostalgia that's getting harder to come by...we have aimed to preserve the same flavor we enjoyed as youngsters coming to the beach, before the era of condos and 'McMansions.' This property has 2 bedrooms and a large living area, both areas equipped with 42' flat screen TVs. Our cottage has approximately 650 square feet. The living area and kitchen are open, divided by a bar/table/counter which is an old hatch door from a WWII Liberty Ship - refinished of course. Folly Beach is a six mile long barrier island, and the closest beach to historic Charleston, South Carolina, 15 minutes on the Connector. We welcome children of all ages and dogs. Our property is located on a corner lot. The backyard has a canopy of live oaks and is completely fenced. This home is not nearly as elevated as the newer ones; so there's only 10 steps from the back door to the yard. All these features make pet care and child care a lot easier. And don't worry about parking - we have 4 off street spaces at the back of the lot; and another in the front. Great little house that was perfect for our family of 4. Prime location, great communication with the house manager, loved the front porch and deck, well-kept yard, we even did a couple of the puzzles that were there on rainy mornings. Definitely a “classic” Folly house!

Great weekend in Folly with hubby. Location was perfect to walk downtown, run, and beach stroll too . Accommodations were excellent and def would come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfortable cottage with up-to-date appliances. Easy access to the beach and downtown. Loved the screened in porch and the fenced in backyard for our dogs. Lots of parking. Being able to see and hear the ocean from the porch was definitely a highlight for us.

We had such a wonderful time at The Love Shack! The house is adorable and completely spotless and a short walk from Bert's and Folly's restaurants and bars. We had everything we needed for a wonderful week including smart TVs, perfectly supplied kitchen and a wonderful view of the ocean from the front porch. Gigi was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely hope to visit again soon! Thank you!

It’s so nice to be on the other side and see when someone truly cares. Just a block off the beach, with all the amenities you could ask for and in a wonderful neighborhood. We adored our time at the love shack! What a fantastic place and location. Beds are super comfortable and our dog loved the fenced in yard it made everything so easy and fun! Then each is right across the street a stones throw! Thank you so much for everything it was a wonderful stay and we will certainly be back!

This place has the perfect location right across from the beach. It has a fenced in yard for pets and plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again. The host was so helpful and responded to all questions immediately. I highly recommend this house for your stay at Folly.

Loved this property that allows dogs! Clean, well stocked with kitchenware, linens, comfortable beds, right across the street from the beach and beach access, fenced yard, beach chairs, boogie boards, and easy check in. Particularly loved old bungalow feel that's been updated. Comfortably housed one single and a couple and two dogs.

This was our second stay, and we loved it even more this visit! We enjoyed the huge, fenced backyard, the skylights, the porch (screened and unscreened) and the crows nest! It's the perfect location. We will definitely stay again! Thank you!

The house is so charming and easily sleeps 6. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of parking. The views from the porch,deck,and crows nest were very nice. The beach is right across the street and the center of town is four blocks away.

Rented this for my boyfriend’s 40th for the weekend and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The location cannot be beat - views of the ocean and was so nice to be able to walk back and forth from the beach so easily. The house was well stocked, clean, and had so much natural light. The backyard was great, especially with a dog. Loved sitting on the porch at night and listening to the waves. Tons of parking too. Only 4 blocks to center street. Would absolutely recommend to anyone! Thanks for the great weekend Gigi!

I can't praise this property enough. It has a homey and relaxing atmosphere. So close to everything but also private. My best stay yet. I will certainly be staying at the Love Shack again and I'm so appreciative of the accommodation of my fur babies. They loved it too

Our group of 4 enjoyed the cottage for our week long stay in Folly Beach. The location and ocean view was perfect. Loved the fenced in back yard and deck for the dogs. Wish there was a second full bathroom and a TV in the second bedroom. Would definitely stay again.

Our most frequently rented home was not available and we happened upon the Love Shack. We have enjoyed our little piece of Folly Beach heaven. This is one of many original FB homes on the island. Built in 1923. It is a great place for a couple and is dog friendly!! Pups loved the fenced in back yard. Bungalow has many upgrades including GE profile dual ovens and Microwave . The kitchen is well equipped and yes I cook especially when we have Crosby’s and the freshest seafood ever available to us. New beds and living room furniture. Screen porch and gated deck were the best for chilling when not on the beach. For 625sq feet it was packed with charm. Walls have been freshly painted to lighten up the house and give it a bit of a more light and airy charm. GiGi, the care taker was the best!! Her attention to detail, calling us before our arrival and checking in with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok was above and beyond. Would highly recommend . The owners also just added a new massive grill on the deck!

The proximity of this cottage was perfect to get to the beach or a walk downtown. The fenced backyard was great for the dogs to have a place to be free. Thank you for allowing them to vacation with us. The house was clean and comfortable with everything one would need. It was awesome being able to sit on the front porch and see the ocean. Thank you Gigi for being so welcoming and gracious!
