This path boasts stunning views of mountains with cascading waterfalls, a world class golf course, breathtaking sunsets, access to a public beach and whale watching. The Princeville Shopping Center is conveniently located less than a mile from Sandpiper Village and it features restaurants, a grocery store, gas station and plenty of shopping. We ended up moving out and staying somewhere else as the mold was terrible there. We kept getting headaches every time we came back after the day trips. There was mold on the shower curtains, in the carpet around fridge, etc. The carpet was old and filthy. The freezer had almost two inches of ice buildup and was dirty. There isn’t a kitchen at the place unlike when it was marked under amenities. No kitchen sink or dining table. It was not possible to prepare food before using the grill. On the lanai there’s like 20 surf boards which was tacky. So bummed that this caused us to pack up and find a different place. This place should be reported to the health department!

Very nice condo, close to dining and within a few minutes of some great beaches. Parking was right outside the unit; everything was just as listed and our stay was great, without a single problem. The “classic” surfboards above the lanai were awesome!

Honestly, we were very shocked at the condition of the property; we were very disappointed. The room was not as shown in the photo. The carpet was so very dirty and strained. The room smelled horrible, and there was no soap at all. While the pillows and bed were comfortable, the bedspread did not smell clean, and there were several stains on the bed skirt. I was overall very disappointed with the room, especially for the price we paid. I am not one to leave a bad review, and honestly don't think I ever have, but some small improvements like new carpet or flooring, having clean linens, and some soap would help make this place go a long way.

Excellent place for budget-minded traveler. The AC was appreciated during my August stay. The reserved parking spot was a nice perk and always available. I'd stay there again.

The room was clean and it was a decent amount of space for us as we didn’t spend much time in our unit. Our only real complaint was that we had to fix our A/C unit while we were there because the hose was so badly broken that it was blowing very hot air back into the room. We ended up having to buy tape and a pliers to fix the hose enough so it would actually cool the room to a comfortable temperature. We got a notice on our door during the stay stating that people would be coming into our room one of the days that we had rented the room for to do a termite inspection. That made us very uncomfortable. We decided to just always have our belongings packed up and locked in our luggage when we were away. That was very fortunate because we didn’t get to feel very comfortable about our rental while we were away from it.

We struggled staying in this accomodation.
Firstly, there were no directions given regarding finding the reserved car park and and there is no numerical order. It is simply searching for the correct reserved park in a mass of spaces (for us in a major rainstorm). The accomodation does have similarities to the picture but it is also very different. There is a portable air conditioner that is vented to outside so as the curtain is crumpled around the hose. It is so loud, it is as if you are sleeping by an airport runway (there are also two little fans to assist with air circulation). The curtains are not block-out and the light streaming into the room in the the evening, completes the experience of sleeping by an airport runway - we had to hang up a blanket for some darkness. The hair dryer didn't work. There were no beach towels, the light dimmed noticeably when using microwave, there were no laundry facilities and the light above the bed didn't work. The positives are that the location was very good,quiet and very close to shops and restaurants. The owner (who lives next door) did supply a 2nd set of towels when asked. However, he answered the door naked.....lucky the wife lost the coin toss as to who was going to ask for the towels.

We liked Princeville, although it was very far from most attractions. The area was mostly tourists in a mix of golf course homes and condos. Our condo had a parking lot assigned, which was wonderful. The room itself was dated, the carpet was stained and looked like it's never been shampooed and we had instructions to take the trash out every night but we could not find any trash bags. We had one set of towels each for three nights stay, which we tried to air dry.

The pool and the spa are perfect to relax. The Bbq allow a good dinner. The carpet is very not clean in the room.

Had a good experience. Communication prior to arrival was very good. Arrived on time at 4 but room wasn’t ready. Contacted host and they had someone clean it up. Was delayed about 90 minutes. Contact with host was good but after travelling all day and already having a late check in, you can easily become frustrated.
Some of the property rules are tight, with noise and trash but abidable.
Appliances need fixing ( coffee maker, made a 1/4 cup and leaked ) microwave ( hard grinding sound ) fridge ( moisture inside ) but they all got the job done.
Princeville is a very non-Hawaiian area, but enjoyed it the same. Not really easy access walk to the beaches as I thought. But if you want to get away from people , this is a good place.
As mentioned host was very attentive to our needs prior to actual check in.

Great location in Kauai. The check in process was easy, loved the on site parking, and the community we stayed in was super safe. There's a great walking path by the golf course which was always being used. Minutes from restaurants and a grocery store. Beaches were about a 15 minute drive, at least to one's that were not to busy. Would stay again.

I had a great experience staying at this property. It was very central with some of the best beaches a few minutes away. The room was clean and just the right size.

Thick dust on the back of the tv as well as the fan.
Carpet should be removed, it disgustingly dirty.
Mold in shower and on shower curtain!
Should have removed all personal items from under the sink (fleet enema - gross).

Overall this was a great home base while exploring the north coast. Owner was good communicator throughout the process. Check in was easy and the flat had everything we needed, although decor seemed a bit dated. Pool and hot tub were a bonus! No problems at all.

This was a wonderful place to stay for a week as a home-base for sleeping and coming back in between excursions/beach time! It is in a great location, is as-advertised, and Jack made the process very easy for us. Small tweaks could be made to improve the overall quality of the living environment, and it is important to know there is no kitchen (no stove or oven) when planning your stay and meals. Overall the space was nice, we always had parking, and it was a relaxing place to come home to- Mahalo Jack!

Items listed as available were not there. Rugs needed cleaning, room smelled moldy, and a/c not eniugh to cool area. Did not let it get us down. We enjoyed our trip as best we could. Owner said he was not aware of these issues, and is going to look into them.

Location is very good. Sheets had blood stain (I did contact housekeeper and she brought over fresh ones). The bath towels were old and smelled (no additional towels were provided for 6 night stay). Cobwebs . Carpet needs cleaning. One of the beach chairs was broken.

Wonderful and quiet stay in Princeville!
We needed somewhere to stay for the first 2 days of our trip and this place was perfect. An adorable little studio with all basic necessary amenities! A very calm little balcony with seats was enjoyed, I sat out there each morning with coffee and a book. Host was very responsive, kind, and helpful! Thank you!!! :)

Great Studio
This property worked great for our needs. Located next to a golf course in a resort-like area a short drive to spots like the Queen's Bath and Hanalei. As the owner notes, there's no kitchen but they did supply silverware and coffee which was helpful. We like eating out on vacation so this wasn't an issue. It's a basic but nice little studio. Especially when compared to options even twice as expensive, this is a find. Owner was super nice and we didn't have any issues. Would definitely stay again.
