About this cabin rental
Nestled in Lake Arrowhead, this attractive cabin for $157 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Originally owned as a hunting cabin by members of the Hershey (chocolate) family, the cabin is nestled on the lush side of Lake Arrowhead, in Arrowhead Villas. When you arrive, you will find the Hershey Cabin to be a very inviting, quiet, immaculate, and comfortable mountain home. The cabin is situated about one mile south of Lake Arrowhead Village, at an elevation of 5,500 feet, with easy parking directly in front of the property. The classic craftsman style shingle home is situated on a quiet road and is surrounded by beautiful firs, pines, and cedars. If the Hershey Cabin is booked, try our exquisite Burnt Mill Canyon Cottage (do an internet search). Our intent is to keep the cabin in top notch shape - Therefore it must be left in a neat and clean condition upon checkout. We charge extra for excessive cleanup. Upon entering the cabin you will notice the excellent restoration job. In addition, the cabin has been professionally decorated by my wife, an interior designer, who is experienced in incorporating comfort and elegance into home decor. It is furnished with both modern furnishings and antiques, providing the creature comforts of modern day while maintaining the old-fashioned warmth of a traditional Lake Arrowhead cabin. For your enjoyment, we decorate for each season. The Hershey Cabin has rustic knotty pine/redwood walls and ceiling, a beautifully hand-crafted quartz rock fireplace, a massive pine mantel, and porcelain slate tile floors with traditional wool rugs. In addition to central air conditioning & heating, it has dual pane windows and is fully insulated. Above the fireplace is a Samsung (2020) 4K, smart TV with the super easy to use Fire TV Cube. We provide Netflix, Amazon Prime, MAX, PBS Masterpiece, Acorn, BritBox, Hallmark, crackle, freevee, tubi, Pandoras etc. We have very high speed (1 Gig up & down) Frontier fiber-optic internet, with an Amazon eero Wi-Fi router mesh system. The living room is a perfect place for you to snuggle up by the fire with each other, and either read or watch a movie. The bathroom has porcelain slate tile, granite, and a frameless glass shower. The completely remodeled kitchen has gorgeous granite counter tops, new cupboards, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with all the amenities of home. The bedroom has knotty pine walls and ceiling, with a view from the windows that makes you feel as if you are nestled in a tree house. In the dressing area, you will note that there are two armoires and an antique, vanity make-up dresser. The queen bed has a high-quality memory foam mattress (rated medium firmness) along with beautiful, cozy bedding. Step out the bedroom door onto a wonderful wrap-around deck, with bistro tables and chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a meal amongst the trees! We provide an easy-to-use binder at the cabin, with our twelve favorite walks/short hikes in Lake Arrowhead and the surrounding areas. The binder provides maps, descriptions, mileage, estimated time, etc. For the more adventurous hikers, we provide books/maps describing hikes in the San Bernardino Forest. You can also fish and swim in nearby Lake Gregory or in Big Bear Lake. The Lake Arrowhead area is a little hidden gem, with a quaint village, wonderful local restaurants, and various shopping opportunities. If you are looking for a romantic get-away, or just a place to relax and have fun, this is just the place. Lake Arrowhead celebrates all four seasons - warm summer days, fall colors, snow in the winter, and a beautiful spring. Our Historic Hershey Cabin is a popular destination, so be sure to book today! We came for a 3 day getaway and a wedding. It is gorgeous cabin that is a jewel in the mountains. When looking out the windows, it feels like you are in a cozy treehouse. It is decorated beautifully and has every amenity you could possibly want or need.

Overall we loved this property. The cabin is very classic yet updated and well appointed. It's a great little escape from the hectic world we live in. All of the woodwork makes you feel like you are in a cabin in the woods, which you are so it's perfect. :-) The kitchen and bath were well equipped. The living room was cozy and comfy. The bedroom was nice and looking through the windows you felt you were in a treehouse up in the trees. The room did get a little bright in the morning for my wife as she must have thin eyelids. :-) I didn't mind. They do call that out in the listing and told us to bring eye coverings if we were bothered by morning light.
The surrounding areas is very quite and peaceful. We saw a coyote wander through the property on the first night and what I believe was a small bobcat on the second night. Nature at it's finest. :-)
The cabin is fairly close to the main village, maybe 1.5 miles or so, but it's not what I would call walking distance because of the steep slopes and narrow roads. Driving in Lake Arrowhead is interesting because the roads are pretty narrow with lots of hairpin turns and blind intersections. I cannot image driving around here in the winter with snow on the ground, but I can imagine it is beautiful.
To summarize, the cabin is great. The owners are great. The location is great. Lake Arrowhead is great. The roads are paved. :-)

This beautifully restored cabin for two was state of the art! Warm & tasteful furnishings, comfy bed (could have used 2 extra pillows & luggage rack) loved the smart TV and variety of games. Kitchen had nearly everything we needed (except sharp knives, measuring cup & spoons). No outdoor BBQ, but wrap around deck was great, only disturbed by loud music from red house in back). Not much room for belongings in the bathroom, but the vanity area more than made up for it! Great location, close to Village & market. Thanks for having the National Forest Adventure Pass handy for parking at the Heaps Peak Arboretum hike. Riding the Queen was a must! Wine tasting in Crestline by appointment at Sycamore Ranch was wonderful. Weather was perfect, in the 70's, not crowded after Labor Day, people so friendly. Really relaxed and unwound during our 6 days at the Hershey cabin. Would love to come back!

Very responsive host. You will relax. Lake Arrowhead town center is just a few miles away with good restaurants, a Stater Bros. grocery, and the lake is lovely. We will return.

The place was immaculate and charming. After a day on the Lake via tour boat and having dinner in the village we enjoyed the rest of the evening in the cabin. We like to play chess and were delighted when we found the chess game since we forgot ours. You couldn't ask for a better view of the stars right from the bedroom. And morning coffee and muffins from the balcony and listening to nature, peace and tranquility was all we needed. Thank you both!!

Lovely Hershey Cabin in a quite remote area of Lake Arrowhead. Kuddos to the interior decorations as well as kitchen labels and easy to find kitchenware. Made our stay very comfortable. Great communication with the owners and we will definitely be returning for another stay!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming cabin in Lake Arrowhead. The place was immaculate - your cleaning crew is to be commended. The pictures hardly do the place justice. It is is so well appointed and charmingly decorated. The experience with the host was above and beyond. They were very communicative and provided everything one could want. They even managed to allow us an early check-in that was greatly appreciated. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will be back. Just beautiful!

This is a beautiful property, very well maintained, and super clean. It is perfect for two people, and stocked with all the amenities necessary to make your stay a memorable one. The owners have thought of everything down to the details. They even have an Adventure Pass that can be used if you venture out into the surrounding National Forest, which would need to be purchased otherwise. Very thoughtful. I will book this home again in the future.

We rented the Hershey cabin for 4 nights while attended our best friend’s son’s wedding. The minute we entered the cabin we were simply amazed. The cabin was gorgeous and so well maintained!! We couldn’t believe our good fortune. The Hershey cabin will be hard to top!!

My experience at this place was the most enjoyable and most relaxing ever. I have stayed at many rental homes but this by far is my number ONE. The cleanliness, the organization, all the house provided was top notch in every way. They had literally everything you could possibly need. From full supply of kitchen stuff to bathroom stuff, bedroom to living room stuff. No need to bring anything but your food. They have everything you need in the kitchen to cook. Plus they have binders that are very detailed about the trails nearby and dining options. It was such a blessing to stay at this wonderful home. This will definitely be the ONLY place in Lake Arrowhead I will stay from here on out. AMAZING!! Host were wonderful and very quick to reply with any questions we had. If your looking for a place for two THIS IS IT!! Trust me you will not be disappointed.

I read the notebook how the owner, Paul has remodeled this cabin and I admire his efforts and skills.

The host was very polite and professional to follow-up with our inquiries. We hope to visit the Hershey Cabin again when we get a chance. Sofa was a bit slippery and difficult to sit on for a length of time. Heater took a bit to figure out. Informational signs were very helpful throughout. Had to buy T.P. Extra supply was probably in locked cabinets. This property was superior than most upscale hotels. Heated sheets were amazing. Look forward returning.

Immaculate stylish cabin and wonderful getaway. However, no auto drip coffee maker made mornings a little more challenging as we are not big fans of Keurig (only 4 for the weekend?). Speaking of rationing, 4 tiny bite sized chocolates seemed underwhelming for an Historic Hersheys cabin. The excessive rules and stickers on everything is a bit OCD but understand the reasoning. The parking spot is great, but since it's on a one way street you have to either do a 10 point turn around or park uphill and backup 30 yards on a narrow road-both options not easy with my 4x4 truck. Last but not least, the neighbor across the street cranks their music at 2am just enough to wake you up and make it hard to fall back asleep. All in all, great but could have been amazing!
