The island is almost all single family homes so you’ll quickly find it has a pristine 'non-commercial' family feel. There are no large high-rise resorts, beach bars or traffic and noise. If you’re looking for that place in the sun that you can actually hear the wind whistle through the palms - you’ve found your place. Off island you’ll be close to restaurants, shops, golf courses and world famous Boca Grande as well as other attractions. As we like to say... civilization is close but not too close. Boca Grande offers exclusive shopping, dining and sightseeing. By boat you can reach Cayo Costa Island State Park and Cabbage Key where Jimmy Buffet was inspired to write 'Cheeseburger In Paradise.' Do it all, or do nothing at all, that’s the “island” lifestyle. It’s laid back, always casual (leave your tie at home) and Florida at its best. No smoking. Our stay here was amazing. Perfect place to relax and unwind. This condo came with everything you could possibly think of and then some. Our host had great communication with us throughout our stay and had so many great recommendations for us on what to do while we were there. Sunset every night right from the Lanei. We will definitely return again.

We have fallen in love with October at the beach. This island is magical for melting away stress and this property has the absolute best view! Diane is a pro and communication with her was flawless. We will definitely rent from her again. Don't think twice before booking this property!

Licensed 2 Chill is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. The home is perfectly situated facing the gulf with incredible views from the main living room and master bedroom. The beach is literally steps away! We walked down to the state park collecting shells and watching the birds and dolphins along the way. The townhome is exactly as described along with amenities. The pool next door was an added plus! There is a nice restaurant and shopette only a quick trip away by golf cart.

Everything was great for the most part. A bit severe with the rules and regulations. Email upfront, repeated on the fridge - another text when checking out. Zero ability for early check in or late check out either. We enjoyed the property but would not book through the company managing it again.

Charming, perfect for sea lovers. The townhouse is clean, cozy, has everything you need, nice decoration, just a step away from the beach. Diane is very attentive and always willing to help, thank you very much for allowing us to enjoy this wonderful place.

FANTASTIC Paradise and wonderful amenities.
We LOVED the entire experience. A total of 3 of us came on this trip. Mark age 62, Andrea age 43 and Kane age 14 We stayed at 420 “License to Chill”
We saw more wildlife than Humans on the island during our stay from August 22-28.
We saw Manatees several times on 2 or 3 different days, several sharks, dolphins, 4 Gopher tortoise,
So many birds that we can’t count and all kinds of various smaller fish! The unit we stayed in was a short walk to the pool, and beach. We could see the Gulf from the kitchen, living room, front door, master bedroom and pool.
We had a wonderful relaxing week!
The only thing we will do different next time is bring Sun shade cover.

My family stayed at this property for one week. It was a great house. It was clean, easy to find, well stocked, with plenty of space inside and outside. It is literally right on the beach. The general area is nice. The actual island is nice. The car ferry ride over to the island was super quick and easy. We stopped by a nearby Walmart to stock up before going to the island. When the kids realized the location was near Lemon Bay they wanted to go by Danny Duncan's (YouTube star) ice cream shop so that was a neat little experience. We traveled with our older family dog who had some issues on the trip and needed to see a vet. The near by Lemon Bay Animal Hospital was great and got him fixed up so that he could enjoy the trip as well. We visited the restaurant and the ice cream shop on the island. I recommend paying a little extra for use of the golf cart. It was nice taking a ride on it around to explore a little bit. We saw lots of rabbits and turtles. Buy plenty of sun block before you get there because it is a little pricey at the local store. Buy more than you think you need. The beach is very close to the house and it is extremely clean. Lots of sea shells. We fished at the beach and at the dock area. The beds were clean and very comfortable. I would stay again. The only downside that I can possibly think of is that you can't go out on the beach at night with flashlights because of the sea turtles which is understandable for the area though.

This condo and its location checks every box. Beach front, direct pool view and easy access to the canal. My wife and 2 kids had such a wonderful time taking it all in. The condo itself was very clean and included all basic amenities needed while on the island. Highly encourage the golf cart rental as it makes for a very fun ride up and down the island, specifically during the cooler summer evenings. The owner was incredibly responsive to any questions we had during our stay.
Overall, a great stay! Will definitely be back.

Everything was absolutely perfect! This property is beautiful and had everything we needed! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast each morning as well as all our other meals. Everything was clean and well maintained! Diane was so welcoming and was always in reach if we had any questions, the perfect host! The beach was amazing as is the whole island! The paddle board and kyaks were a bonus and we used them several times! We will hopefully be booking again!

After what seemed like eternity, my family was finally able to enjoy a well-anticipated getaway in our own private paradise. The apartment was clean, modernized and everything we'd hoped for! Not to mention, the property owner (Diane) was absolutely fabulous. She addressed each of our concerns almost instantaneously, no matter what time of day, and made every effort to ensure our happiness and comfort during our stay. My family and I have already decided to make this visit an annual vacation spot.

Palm Island and "License to Chill" may be the most perfect spot to vacation on the west coast of Florida. The separation provided by the short ferry ride (less than 5 minutes!) from the mainland to Palm Island provides a level of tranquility that is almost hard to imagine. At the same time, getting back to the mainland for groceries, renting a boat (we did and loved it) or heading out to a restaurant is so easy.
"License to Chill" is better than we could possibly have expected. The cool breezes coming the Gulf of Mexico kept the temperatures at a perfect level while everyone inland was baking. The views are wonderful all day long but when the sun sets... well just go take a look for yourself!
Diane is a superb host. The cottage was ready when promised and fully equipped with everything you would need. We had a few simple questions which were met with a friendly and immediate and complete response.
If you are lucky enough to find availability of this wonderful spot, grab it because it won't last long. We can't wait to go back.

Fantastic, very communicative host. The property was exactly as described and the pool was terrific on cooler days. The golf cart makes exploring the island fun and we caught snook and snapper off the dock. Great stay!

Diane’s property was amazing. The property was clean and well maintained. The location was just as described- secluded, beach front, next to an ocean front pool. She communicated every step of the the way. Would be great for a longer stay and her properties would be great for a multiple family vacation.

A perfect week!
This is our second trip to this island and our family of 4 truly enjoyed a week at this property! The house was perfect, plenty of room for all of us. House was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. We cooked all of our meals. The best part is the location. House is right on the beach. Access to the beach is so convenient and views were awesome. Sunsets are amazing; absolutely gorgeous!
The island is quiet, peaceful and not crowded which was perfect for us.
This island is truly a hidden gem. Diane was a great host! Communication and check in was seamless.

Everything was perfect. What an amazing place to stay. The beach house was clean, kitchen was functional and had everything you needed to cook nightly. We brought enough food so we didn't have to leave the island. The beach was awesome, the hostess Diane was very informative and always available. I highly recommend this place.

No crowds, no traffic, no hustle bustle, just the beach, the waves of the Gulf and the sunsets. It was absolute perfection! So much so, we only left the island 1 time, and that was only because we needed to get more groceries.
The house was perfectly located, easy access to the beach and we had a blast on the kayaks.
Our only suggestion is that you overstock on food/snacks/drinks, so you never have to leave the island once you arrive. Oh … and be ready with your camera shortly before sunset, the views are so beautiful!
The owner, Diane, was on top of anything and everything. Communication with her was a breeze.

Paradise

Private paradise
The island was absolutely stunning. I've vacationed up and down the Florida coasts and the panhandle... this is now my favorite spot. I've never seen more shells! We came home with dozens of shells and full sand dollars!
The property was adorable. Loved that it had the bedrooms upstairs. The master balcony was a perfect place to watch the sunset or watch for dolphins in the morning.
The beach chairs, kayaks and paddleboard offered activities that we normally wouldn't have done. Watching a sunset from a kayak in the water is an incredible experience.
